At 3 1/2, she's writing her name, knows all her letters and counts to 40! As a Jewish family, we love that she is learning about holidays, traditions and values. But there are many non-Jewish kids as well, so everyone can feel comfortable. Sara Mintz, the school's Director, is involved, present and just a great woman. Her kids are in the school so it's especially personal to her and we love that. She looks at these kids like they are her own and that's obvious. We feel lucky to have found this school.

They always cuddle him if he's overwhelmed and they're like extended family. -The class sizes are small. The kids get so much attention. -there's an on-sight chef that makes all of their homemade meals and snacks (included with tuition) - the hours are 7-6pm, amazing for working parents - one teacher moves up with the class so the child has a familiar person with them during their 3 years. -it's play based, and the kids can choose their activity. -they are outside 80% of the time, which is amazing. Not just for recess. -the facilities are clean and nice, a bit of a Montessori feel but also it's very homey. - they offer after-school sportsball on Wednesdays, which my kids love. -they accept starting at 2 years old and you don't have to wait until August after their second birthday.

But most importantly, we wanted a school that immersed our children in the grace and love of Jesus. Journey of Faith is a wonderful preschool with teachers and staff that truly love and know your children. My two kids are on the quieter side, but JoF has been an encouraging and safe environment to grow their confidence. In terms of academics, my older son just finished kindergarten at his local elementary school this past year and he was well prepared by JoF's rigorous, yet engaging curriculum. Tip: Waitlist can seem intimidating, but it's mostly a challenge if you have an infant without a JoF sibling. With public TK expanding this past year, I think space is more readily available at Journey. We chose to keep our older son at JoF for TK even when we could've gone to his local public school because every extra year at JoF is so valuable.

In the beginning he cried for about a month and the teachers were so patient and kind to him. He loves his teachers. They hold his hand and walk with him to make him feel comfortable and safe. Now he loves it and has no problems going to school. He comes home excited telling me about his day, singing new songs, cleans up after himself, and so much more that he has learned from attending this school. The environment is very clean and inviting along with the staff. I absolutely love Mrs. Evian, the director, and Ms. Mary, the owner. They both are very friendly and greets you everyday with a "good morning" and "have a great day ". They also allow you to watch your child through the windows of the classrooms if you wanted to see your child in class or outside in the playground. I also love that the teachers take pictures of the kids throughout the day so we can view what they do daily. This is a must see school and highly recommended.
