Had breezed through this store at the shops at Wailea and had seen some locally made soap I wanted to get. So when we were in Lahaina I stopped in. It is a beach themed store with some locally made soaps, lotions, kitchen towels and jewelry. There might have been other stuff but this is what I noticed. The jewelry was all very beautiful but spendy. There was a lot of other average nicknacks probably made in China. I was preferring to bring something home unique and from Hawaii but if you do a beach theme in your home there just may be a bunch of stuff for you. The soap I bought was a 3 pack for $26 but was very prettily packed and smelled nice. My mom will love them. Add photo

Cutest stuff at Sand People on Front Street!

This is the cutest store on Front Street! We were walking by and just HAD to stop! Cutest souvenir-type stuff that you ACTUALLY want in your house. Adorable Hawaiian kitchen towels, bags, pot holders, jewelry - so many cute items! We grabbed an adorable Hawaiian tumbler. I can't wait to drink smoothies out of it on the mainland!

broken button after a week of use :(

Very cute shop! Loved the trinkets and cups. The design is great but prices could be better. It's on front street so parking can be tough.

But the coffee shops and shave ice spots? Can't get enough of those! And happy hours :) It's open air, so be aware of that weather wise. I also love getting henna here. One cool perk is that the henna spot offers 50% off a refresh the day before you head home. There are plenty of touristy shops to pick up souvenirs for family and friends. My husband likes their Travis Mathew because you can find hawaii theme stuff. The ABC Store here is pretty big so it can also get really busy (crowded) ... you might have better luck checking out an ABC of the other locations nearby. But it's also a quick place to get parking verified, if needed. All the restaurants will do it, and henna shops too! Overall, a clean place to walk around, snack, shop a little (or not!), and just enjoy being in Maui.

I was just hoping to find some organic hand lotion for a friend and I was about to give up! Lo and behold, on a pretty dish at the cash wrap, was a selection of fragrant organic hand cream! Success!!! Dorothy was a gem and we enjoyed our conversation with her! The store and walls are jam-packed with colorful Hawaiian and tropical decor! I fell in love with the gorgeous turtle pillow cover! Go and see for yourself! I'm sure you'll walk out with something special to remind you of your trip to Maui. My husband actually found some cute turtle magnets to attach to our screen door!

This store is so cute. You can get so many gifts for people whom you love or just pick something up for yourself. Today I picked up some glasses, to drink some beer or just a glass of wine. The value of things is pretty reasonable. We got some glasses (cups) for 50% off which was great. It cane out to 9.00 for 2 of them. They seem like they're pretty good. The cashier today was friendly and sweet. She wrapped up the glasses in bubble wrap. Which was going upcountry. A long drive from the store.

They also have a large food court with some sort of beer garden/bar area, and multiple food truck options that look amazing. Families were here, eating, and people were sitting at the bar. It was pretty busy. The stores are predictable - a snorkeling place, some beachwear, fashion, etc. Parking is plentiful and free. It is air conditioned so you can get out of the heat for awhile. They also have a restaurant on the outside of the mall that seems popular. So it's not a big mall, but if you're looking for a swimsuit, or a cute outfit or a souvenir, you can get that here. You can also get a tasty bite to eat or some groceries.

That's the main store that might have some decent prices. I've visited some of the other stores and the prices are kind of high. Food trucks inside mall that have food for sale. Sometimes there are craft fairs on the lawn outside. Update: Was sad to hear they did away with the Hawaiian crafts last year. They really should bring it back. The shops at Wailea have a robust program of Hawaiian dance, crafts and music and I guess I will go there future. They only have a hula show on Sundays 1-2 pm, some music on Friday and Saturday 5-6 pm and and a hula class I believe on Thursday/ Friday. The shops at wailea has something everyday. I did want to mention that the hula show put on by the Oni foundation was one of the best I had seen and it was for a whole hour. I would definitely recommend it!!
