Moved out after 1 year and they're trying to charge me for carpet repair in what I thought was an "updated" unit. Upon final inspection the guy from the office was surprised to see the 3+ year old carpet still in my unit. I was just as surprised when I received a $1400 bill to replace it, knowing it wasn't in great condition upon move in. The unit was not clean when I moved in. There was even a bag of random things left on the counter from the previous tenant. It damn sure was clean when I left, although they think I owe them $145 cleaning fee. Maintenance didn't respond to calls. I lived with exposed wires from a FAULTY fire alarm in my main bedroom for a full year without them addressing it, even though they said they would have it fixed a few weeks after moving in. The hot water heater sounded like a rock tumbler and often took a long time for the water to get hot. It was reported and I was "put on a list" for those who also complained about their faulty water heaters. (This apparently was common) as maintenance told me I was 1 of 9 and until it completely goes out, they wouldn't do anything. I could literally go on, but if you made it this far, save yourself the headache. On top of all of this, they upped the rent for a terrible paint job on the exterior of the buildings. Make sure you know exactly what's in your contract. We have lived here for two years and we just found out that our first year lease was for 13 months, not 12. Yes, our fault for not reviewing the contract closely. We trusted them when they told us the contract was for one year. Do not make the mistake of thinking the office staff is telling you the truth. Our mistake was not verifying that everything they told us was in the contract. When this came to light, we were told too bad - contract is void. They weren't interested in doing anything to make us happy. Also, verify that the credit is correct. We just had the pleasure of having Rikki reduce our credit amount 11 months into our second year contract. Nobody noticed that the credit wasn't correct for the first 11 months, but that didn't stop Rikki from taking it away from us. She's an angel at signing, but watch out for her if you have an issue. Bottom line, I should have reviewed things much more closely. I mistakenly trusted what they told me, but there are no verbal contracts, as they are keen to point out. Regardless, I tried to fight it to no avail. They're not interested in making you happy - they are interested in two things: what's in the contract, and your money. It didn't help that I called the vice president. He was adamant on the terms of the contract. I told him I understood that, but I wanted to see if he was willing to allow me to pay 24 months of rent like everybody else, not 25. No dice. The first year contract is void. Oh right, silly me. Needless to say, I won't recommend Wasatch Property Management to another soul as long as they're around. read more

I've been living here for almost two full years and still love living here - EXCEPT for one thing that is unbelievably annoying. There is a service that picks up our garbage / recycling several days a week and they are supposed to leave recycling bags for us. Whoever manages this Company (garbage service) and their employees is a special kind of stupid! I would say at least once a week they forget to leave me a bag and the Leasing Office has been kind enough to give me bags when needed but you would think after me complaining about this situation 20+ times that someone would correct the situation. The Leasing Office is now closed due to Covid so it's not like I can just walk down there to get a bag. I even left them a voicemail two weeks ago asking that someone bring me some bags but no response and no bags - so now I'm just treating my recycling like garbage. I know this seems like something extremely dumb to complain about but for what they charge us for garbage, and what they tout as a service I would expect a whole lot better. read more

There are so many negative things to say about this place. I lived here for a full year with many disappointments. Before moving into this place, I tried to read some Yelp reviews. Because most of the time people are telling you the truth and the experience they had. I wish I never lived at San Moritz and wish I decided to go with the ones across the street at the Talaveras. Hopefully this review will help you. Me and my husband were looking to move in a place ASAP, because it was December, snowing, and we were limited on time. Do NOT let them fool you! We were showed a "model" of what it would look like. What you really get is completely different and is a down grade. The lady that worked there said there weren't any unit ready to show us and it needed cleaning. But she was new and eager to sign leases. We refused to sign a lease with out seeing the actual unit first. And guess what all of a sudden after talking to her manager there was one available to show us. She showed us the unit and it looked nothing, I mean NOTHING like the model. But like I mentioned we were in a hurry to move into a place. My husband was tired of looking at apartments and wanted to get it over with. So fast forward to cons: If you plan to stay longer than a year, they WILL up your rent amount (for us it was over a $100 extra a month), they will charge you extra every year for having a garage. If you pay for a designated parking spot or a separate garage, they will up the cost of that too. The plumbing sucks! Refer to Kalle S. Review as well Meaning, you will take a shower and the water pressure will die and you will be left standing cold waiting for the pressure to come back on. Parking: Good luck finding it if you don't have a garage. Luckily we had one. It is recommended Garages get broken into here and they have no locks on the door from the garage to your house. It's easy access, and if you put locks on the door they will charge you for that when you move out. If anyone lives above you, you will hear foot steps. Super annoying if you work early in the morning and hear them late at night. Moving out! Will cost you a lot of money. If you put paintings up and obviously those will ding holes in the walls, cost you almost a hundred dollars. Light bulbs that went out on their own will cost you. Me and my husband cleaned the apartment and they still charged $300 for it!! In all, they charged $700 for moving out!!! Anything they could charge you for. They will do it. Ridiculous! And they give you 10 days to pay, they mail it out 3 days late and I had it sent to my PO BOX and I didn't receive it until the day after it was final notice due and it was already in collection! Wtf ?! Just talking about it is infuriating. Would never recommend a place like this to any of my friends and family. read more

Left my apartment in better condition than I found it in and the management hired a debt collector to track me down and sue me. They didn't actually even tell me what they are suing me for just gave me a dollar amount. They are trying to bully me into paying them without even giving me an explanation of what they say I owe they are intentionally trying to put a black mark on my credit so that I won't be able to find another place to live. read more

We decided to call San Moritz our home after moving from California to Utah. We drove by while we were visiting family and apartment hunting and we fell in love with the apartment complex. We have been living here for a year in November, and we are extremely happy. We actually just signed a lease for another year. We love our apartment. It's really spacious and the kitchen is beautiful! Everyone at the leasing office has been friendly, extremely quick to respond and very helpful. Not to mention, they remember you by name! The maintenance guys are great as well! They respond very quickly to any and all maintenance requests. They are friendly, quick, and respectful of your home. The complex is clean and safe. Biggest problem would be people not always picking up after their dogs, but they really try to stay on top of it, and it's gotten a lot better!! There's always plenty of parking on the street which is where we like to park so it's great! I'm not sure about parking spots in the complex as we don't use those. Further, the complex is a 7-10 minute walk to the TRAX! If you walk a little further down there's plenty of places to eat or get some drinks and there's top golf. There's also Winco and Maveric. The complex is also right by Gardner Village which is really cute. Everything you could want is right here. Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

With any complex there may be an issue that comes up and San Moritz goes above and beyond to keep the tenant happy and taken care of. DO NOT MOVE HERE there is never any parking either and apartments are extremely outdated yes they show you the nice remodeled ones when your first coming to check the place out, but instead you get NASTY carpet outdated appliances, and ugh don't get me started with the dishwasher it's terrible. Remodel mine and don't false advertising with the remodeled ones because from what I can see it's not what it seems. The lighting also is the worst it's so dark in these brown ugly walls. Slowly turn into a Dump.! It was just an o.k. place 2 years ago. :-) - Nothing to brag about. This place used to be top notch and desirable, but is old and used up now. Only the Show and Model Units still have good working Faucets and Appliances. Once you live here, you will slowly notice that the Water Pressure goes lower and lower, The Sinks and Faucets start leaking, and the whole place falls apart on you. Constantly have to have the poorly paid mechanics in your place patching up things. The ads and marketing materials, awards, etc... are 3-4 years old, and the place is run down from overuse. It is badly in need of refurbishing. (If the want to keep up the overpriced rents) They do paint the outside frequently and do external make-up maintenance, but the interiors are rotting away. The walls are paper thin, the paint flakes off, and the equipment is beyond repair, just there for show. The Lofts Apartments across the street are a better bargain for $100 more, but they are brand new ;-). (also Wasatch Management, the same company) The Units inside Moritz have aged Appliances, Horrible W/D and faucets leak and break too frequently. Everything is used up and needs repair, or an upgrade. This place is just too overpriced for the value you receive now. A few years ago, their lofty and high rental price would have been justified in that years market. But today, its just greedy and insane to be so complacent and under the illusion, that they still have a viable product to compete..... Management lost touch with reality there, at St. Moritz/ Wasatch Management. IF they would re-invest the cash they are making of a fully paid off infrastructure, (They are cranking green money, and cleared their ROI), - if they would re-invest some of that cash to upgrade the interiors, upgrade to some new Appliances, put in new Sinks, replace the Tubs, Install new Carpet and replace the floors, new Doors, they would be able to stay competitive and offer a high quality product. Right now, and without lifting a finger, they are going down the drain..... We looked at several apartments before moving in from another state. We decided this place looked and seemed great. Until we move in and find the apartment hadn't been walked through. Our SERVICE ANIMALS found several nails on the ground in our apartment as I stepped on a few as well. I continue to find nails constantly on walking paths when we are walking our service animals. In the past 3 days I have found AT LEAST a dozen! I see a previous comment as well about the air filter when first moving in. Ours was never changed either. We are trying to get a few things resolved still as this is our 3rd month here. We can't seem to get responses back from management after approx 2 weeks. There are defects in the apartment so bad that it is causing our furniture to slant forward! Causing a HUGE HAZARD FOR everyone involved. They don't care as soon as they get you locked into the lease. If you like good customer service, honesty and communication, pick somewhere else to live!! :) read more

I lived in this community for 11 months and loved it - with the exception of my upstairs neighbors. I was sold on the fact that there is tons of floor space between my apartment and my upstairs neighbors and that it was very quiet. Sadly - that was wrong - I have lived in apartment complexes most of my adult life and never have I experienced so much noise from upstairs neighbors..it was awful. However - I loved the management team - they took good care of me. My suggestion would be going forward not to sell people on the "quietness" of upstairs neighbors. read more

Horrific communication. Do not move here. I was moving here from another state. You know how stressful that is if you have done it before. I was doing all of the coordination from the state I previously lived. They were super responsive and I felt so excited about moving to San Moritz UNTIL I gave them my $250 fee to hold the apartment. Then there was complete silence on their behalf. I called and emailed and got no response for over a week. I didn't know what to do! I called my credit card company and they agreed they just took my money and ran so they refunded it to me. At that point I was completely stuck and needed a complex to live so I found a place five minutes down the road that is way better. I get a call from San Moritz weeks later on the day I should have moved in asking where I was?! Are you kidding me?! I then received a notice saying that I owed them $250 and that it was going to collections. I emailed and called to try and sort out the issue but I heard NOTHING. All they want is your money and if they don't get it well then straight to collections so they can dust their hands of it. DISGUSTING business practices! The irony is the complex I moved too has San Moritz employees living at it. What does that tell you?! Joke of a place. Do not move to SM! read more

The apartments are very well laid out. We have a two bedroom/ two bath and it feels more like a small home than an apartment. I do wish some of the finishes were a little bit nicer. The kitchen cabinets look nice, but they are very poor sized. LOVE the flooring throughout and the staff is very in gauged with their residents. Love the apartment, love the management staff, and love the maintenance staff. San Moritz is a great place to call home. I've always been treated liked San Moritz wanted me as a resident and wanted to keep me as a resident. I feel safe in my apartment, when I need something fixed they are there quickly, and they always fix things right the first time! Only issues I've had are with neighbors who don't pick up after their dogs or who smoke on the non-smoking property. Management handles it as well as can be expected. The apartments are nice - love the granite counter tops. The appliances are mid-range but work well for the space. As far as apartment living goes - this is one of the best I've lived in - and I've lived in several. But...it is an apartment and there are neighbors - you can hear them, but it's not over the top noisy. Would highly recommend for a few months or a few years - I just signed a lease for one more year. read more

I have lived here for over a year now and plan to stay until I can afford a home. Have had only 2 minor issues including window blinds that got stuck and a malfunctoning tub faucet. Both were resolved within 2 days of reporting. The staff is freindly and accommodating. I can only hear my neighbor when he stomps, other than that, nothing. Clean pool and work out room. Recycling service picks up 3 times a week at your door. Close to I-15. No complaints. read more

After living here for 3 years, I've realized how terrible this place has become. For the premium price that you pay to live here, you get nothing more than low income housing service. There's always dog shit in the walk ways, they rarely plow the snow for the residents get to work (leaving us stuck and unable to leave the complex), they ignore your service requests for things as basic as replacing the light outside my door, my car got broken into twice in the same week (2 weeks from today) and management essentially said "Not our problem."-- making us feel unsafe to live here. When the previous manager of the apartments, Ricki, was here everything was great. However, now that the complex is run by a different manager, this place has been far below expectations for a "luxury apartment home community". read more

Of all the places i've lived the San Moritz was my favorite. The location is perfect... right next to Trax, right off the freeway and across from grocery store. Its a safe place to walk around and live at as a family. Lots of storage space and room in the apartment! The management is awesome! I can't complain :) read more

I have lived here for about 5 months. Seemed like a good place at first but then when I had some problems with my apartment that needed repair I called in a be put in a request. The people never showed up and fixed it.... I called again a week later and told them and they said no one ever put it in. I have also had many times where I called to get some things handled with my paperwork or adding my boyfriend to the lease and they would say they are handling it and then a week later it wouldn't be fixed and I had to cal back to remind them. They just are not very organized and it seems like no one talks to each other or writes anything down. I would keep your own record of calling them. I also signed up for their personally renters insurance because I didn't have my own. I loved there for 3 months and finally got a letter in the mail from the insurance company with my policy number and info... The only problem, it had my old address being insured instead of their address. Why would they insure a place that isn't theirs when I signed up to have their apartment insured, kind of scary if something would have happened. And you better believe it was a hassle to get it changed to the right address, so I just got my own insurance. Most of the people are nice there though, the pool is nice, the gym is nice. People don't pick up their dog poop so it's horrible in the grass. They open the pool really late it seems to me, but maybe not. I think I pay way too much there for what I get though. I have had problems with the apartment and it's not that great. read more

This is a very honest review about my experience living here. We have lived in our apartment for almost 3 years now. We live in the apartment that is considered the "handicap apartment" so it's not as nice as all the other ones are I imagine around this complex here. When we first moved here we were very pleased and happy about this place. We got an awesome price to move in as well, staff was absolutely great, and we were able to move in really quickly. We moved into this apartment because they allow pets which we absolutely loved cause we have a dog, plus they seemed like very decent apartments to live in. After a few months we started to not enjoy living here as much. Neighbors were rude, things in the apartment were easily falling apart. Maintenance would completely skip coming to fix things. We than had a false accusation that we were not picking up after our dog and that we would have to pay a $75 fee cause apparently a neighbor said something. We talked to the manager and they disregarded it cause it was false. Parking is a absolute nightmare. Not to mention my car was STOLEN from these apartment parking spots 2 TIMES (and no my keys weren't in the ignition, it was broken into)! We just recently got another letter stating that we aren't picking up after are pet and we will be evicted if we don't pay $75.00 within 3 days. We are literally paying $938.00 for a one bedroom--one bath apartment that is tiny. When we first moved in the apartment it was only $878.00. I have talked to management especially about my car being stolen and they have done nothing about it. Honestly, I don't hate coming home to this place everyday. It's became a home to me cause (at this time) this is where we have to stick put. I honestly think they need to fix some stuff around here. I would recommend this place for someone that is only looking for a place for a short time--NOT a long time. Also, to not move in here if you have any pets. It seems like neighbors will find anyone to blame about animals poop outside. I feel like I get blamed because I am outside with my dog a lot so people like to pick fingers and than we have to pay a fee "cause apparently were the ones not picking up after our dog". I honestly can't wait to eventually move out of these apartments. Were going to try to find a better place for a better price this upcoming year when our lease is done. These apartments are way to overpriced for what they are, especially the location were at as well. There have been a couple times since we lived here that police have been patrolling around this area, and it makes you feel very nervous. The problems we have had here as well is so not worth it. I just recently moved out of the San Moritz, but I wanted to post on my personal experience in this community. The community is pretty quite, I love the pool and hot tub (always clean) and the maintenance team was wonderful. I never had a problem with management and in fact I would like to thank Riki, Jermaine, and Lexie for their professionalism and excellent customer service. Anytime that I had a question, they were always very polite and willing to explain things to me further. I reviewed my contract in full so did not have any issues on that end. I love that it is next to the Jordan river pkwy as I would run with my dog there and I liked the area a lot because it was close to everything. Overall, I don't think an apartment experience can get any better than this. read more

Lived there for 12 months and it was the worst renting decision I could of made. We rented a garage which got broken into twice. We rented a covered parking that they don't even monitor so other people will park there for free and they won't do anything about it. Quote "Sorry we have no cameras for proof". My motorcycle got stolen off the property and never recovered. They have a major theft issue, they take no responsibility for. I lived in San Moritz Apartments for one year from August 2016 to August 2017. I think it is a good place overall. On the plus side, the maintenance team usually responded to my maintenance request within 3 hours--lightning fast. I love the ability to submit a maintenance request online. The apartment was well maintained overall and has a decent amount of storage space and cupboard space in the kitchen. It also was energy efficient so my gas bill wasn't more than $80 during January. Some of the minor negative issues was parking, if you didn't have a reserved space or garage. And because they allow dogs, you have to watch where you step on the walkways and grass because many dog owners don't pick up their dog's poop. Also they don't let you install your own washer and dryer. The stacked washer/dryer system provided is crappy compared to my own washer and dryer. But I couldn't install my own washer because there is not even a 110V outlet in the laundry room--only a 220 V outlet for the combined washer/dryer. I wish they would just have the washer and dryer hookups for residents to use their own appliances. At least the garage was big enough to store my appliances in front of the car. The dishwasher was a bare bones GE model. The noise of footsteps in the apartment above was sometimes annoying. read more

I have lived here for about a month now and am very happy with my decision. Moving in went very smooth and whenever something was not right I could call the office and they would have it fixed within a couple hours. We got a unit with an attached garage and I am so happy with it. Almost doesn't feel like apartment life when I can go straight from the garage to my apartment. The garages are very skinny though! I lived in San Moritz apartments for 2 years. Initially they were nice and even waived my deposit. However, over the 2 years I was there, everything declined. My neighbors were constantly having police knocking on their door all hours of the night. I found a heroin needle in the playground, empty beer cans all over the landscaping, and when I would call to complain NOTHING was ever done. I also lived above a woman who was constantly banging on our floor stating we were too loud- however she would complain about noise during times we weren't even home. When I went to management looking for help to resolve this issue NOTHING was done. For 2 years nothing was done to help! I finally got sick of the place and decided to move out. Boy does San Moritz know how to nickel and dime you! I was told during our final walk through that we would be responsible for $45. I received our final statement saying we owed $170. We begrudging paid it, only to receive a call 3 weeks after we moved out stating we still owed $55. When I called to find out why they said it was for carpet damage---no damage was ever mentioned in either of my final walkthroughs, nor on my final statement. I also paid $65 as part of my final statement for carpet care. Not to mention a $300 pet fee (non-refundable) and an additional $35 a month ($420 a year) that doesn't seem to cover anything. In the 2 years I lived there I went from paying $1099 a month to $1220 for "additional fees and services, and rent increase". These apartments are a big big let down. DO NOT RENT HERE. read more
