Great school! We've had a great experience so far with helpful counselors and a great band program. Really excellent.

Well, this was my high school (class of '09). I guess since i havnt been to any other high school…read more(and since former teachers/administrators might read this) i cant complain about it too much. Honestly though, it was an alright school. I had some GREAT teachers, a lot of ok ones, and a few bad ones. Football games were pretty fun since we always seemed to have a pretty decent team. I came in the second year after it was built. The first few years were pretty rocky for the school in general i think. There were a few scandals in my first years there, one concerning the CSTs that resulted in cancelling the API scores, one about out of zone football recruitment or something like that, and a couple others. I dont know if that kind of stuff happens at other schools or not, but it probably does. as far as i know, it was your typical high school, at least throughout MY expirience, a lot of stupid stuff mixed in with cool stuff. The administration was pretty good i guess, no complaints there. As stated before, while there are some really great teachers, especially in the AP programs (Mr. Ramirez, Mrs. McNalley, Mr. Montooth to name a few) there are also some bad ones (i wont name them, that could get me in trouble or something.) To sum it up, Mission Hills is a pretty run-of-the-mill high school. Its got everything any high school has, nothing more, nothing less. I mean, it did its job preparing me for college and i had some fun along the way, but it was school, and obviously sometimes pretty boring.

Mission hills is one of the most racist and biased high schools in the area. Do not send your child…read morehere if they are of color. The administration here, as well as the non colored students, antagonize the colored students and their parents. They are completely one sided and unfair. It was one of my biggest mistakes sending my child to this high school. From the horrible drop offs, rude parents and admin, to the education, even the security sucks here. Students shouldn't get harassed and bullied and then suspended because of the staffs one sided investigations. Students should not be able to roam the hallways or ditch school because staff and security fail to do their jobs. Students should not have their record messed up because the attendance office and teachers fail and misplace students!! ALL CHILDREN DESERVE THE RIGHT TO A FAIR AND COMPLETE EDUCATION, NO MATTER THIER SKIN COLOR!!! All students should have the right to a FAIR "investigation" when being harassed and bullied, no matter their skin color!!! All students should have fair time playing sports and being able to showcase their talents!! All students deserve an equal education!!! My daughter is attending a way better school with much nicer students and staff and I would recommend everyone to really ask their child about their education, peers, and teachers/ staff members and see if they are really happy here. I guarantee you if they are of color, they are not happy or able to thrive at MISSION RACISTS HILLS

Sending our kids to Valley Christian School when they entered Middle School was one of the best…read moredecisions we've ever made as Parents. The only regret we have is not starting them there in Kindergarten. At Valley, our kids weren't just taught, they were Seen, Known, and Cared for. They were held accountable not only in their Academics, but in their Behavior and Values. The school helped shape them into kind, grounded young people who know who they are and what they stand for. What my Kids learned at Valley not only prepared them for high school, but also set their foundation as they grow into young adults. Our daughter, now a junior in high school, has carried the discipline and strong foundation she gained at VCS and continues to earn straight A's. She still stays close with the school, like I've noticed many former students do. That tells me a lot. Our Son, who graduated last week, came in as a quiet, average student who didn't have much confidence. Today, he's a straight A student and athlete. The basketball games are a lot of fun and I will miss them!! Most importantly, he's developed a very strong core value set and is confident, motivated, and ready for high school. As a parent, I could not ask for anything more. Mrs. Palm, the principal, is truly one of the most God-honoring women we've ever met. Her love for the students is real, and you can feel it in the way she leads...with strength, grace, and Deep Faith. She's not just a Principal; she's a Mom who treats the kids at her School like one of her own. The Teachers and Faculty have also been a tremendous blessing to our family. There's no way to fully describe the love and guidance our kids have received at Valley Christian. It's not something you see every day. VCS is much more than a school, it's a Family. We made an investment when we chose VCS, but God has returned it tenfold. He used this school to bless our family in ways we never expected and ways that exceed any monetary value. Thank you VCS, we are so grateful. Five stars ***** without question. Go Lions!

After having been repeatedly bullied by peers at the public school, and ignored by the administration there, VCS became his new home in seventh grade. He was immediately accepted and loved and was given an environment where he could grow and mature and learn and thrive. Thank you to all the teachers and staff... and a special shout-out to the awesome basketball coach, who is also the amazing principal's husband and school caretaker. VCS is a great school!

This is the first year my son who's in the second grade has attended this school…read more He has encountered bullying from one individual. As usual the vice principal read me the standard " we have taken this incident script". I take my son to school everyday and the behavior of most of the at the before recess is atrocious. I did volunteered for a times but his 2nd class could barely read at a 1st grade level and it was frustrating for me as I was just wasting time. The playground supervisor can barely control those undisciplined students. This school will set your child back immensely if they can read at grade level they will be forced to wait for the students who cannot. I have gotten a report that the same boy has continued his bullying agenda.

They have art, Spanish and tech programs. The teachers and admin are very supportive. The staff is highly trained and if you check out site it is evident that there are cool things happening there. The negative review by one parent where he felt he was wasting time volunteering was funny, because if there were a lot of low readers than it would be very valuable to volunteer for. Don't let one negative comment fool you! There are tours offered to parents to find out about the program and to see for themselves.
