We're visiting from California & came into town on 3/5/24 to visit my son who's in the military and decided to eat here for Mexican. Despite its ratings we went anyway because it was 8:00 and they closed at 9. It wasn't busy so we were seated & got our drinks right away. The chips were a bit stale but maybe because it was the end of the night. I ordered the Carnitas #32 & my husband ordered a carne asada quesadilla & Combo A (one taco, one enchilada) Another waitress brought my food & the quesadilla & said enjoy. The Carnitas were buried in a sea of grilled onions so if you want carnitas & not grilled onions order it separate - the carnitas had a good flavor, there just wasn't enough meat in comparison to grilled onions. My husband said the quesadilla was good as we waited for his Combo A. I finished what I was going to eat and we waited for our waitress to come back to check on us so we could tell her we never got his other item. We kept hearing the kitchen ringing the bell over & over so we thought our order was up but not sure if it was our food. I saw our waitress sweeping around 8:45 and she never came back to the table. My husband said he saw the Doordash person pick up & she ran to the front hiding behind the wall to the front giddy about the person picking up. We finally got the attention of another waitress & asked for the bill and said since we never got our Combo A to take it off the bill. She said oh you never got it? Our waitress then came over and said oh, if it's in back, do you want it? Umm no! We don't. She said oh I shoulda checked that's my bad non chalant. Our bill was $28. We got a receipt and paid cash leaving a minimal tip of $3. When I got to the car & looked at the receipt they charged us for 2 sodas when my husband just had water. I had him go back & get that refund. He got back the $3 sodas basically they didn't get a tip. So if you want Mexican food I'd probably go somewhere else. read more

I tried to give this place a second shot and it was even worse the second time around. Employees were talking bad about us in Spanish amongst themselves and to customers, laughing and staring, not knowing that we know enough Spanish to understand. Carnitas were disgusting. I was given what looked like an entire onion stir fried with very little meat (My plate was 3/4ths onions). Their chips taste like they are out of a bag then baked again. Water tasted like chemicals. Got nachos supreme to go. LOTS of food. Not sure why, but all of the cheese seemed to be on the bottom of the plate. Regardless, very good ground beef that was seasoned well. We are a family of very picky Mexican good eaters. While my family was in town from San Marcos, New Braunfels TX we went to eat here, it was our third time to eat here snd we wanted s sanity check. Food is ok, quality has started going down. There is a lack of consistency in the quality and how it is prepared. Overall quality has started dropping since the end of the scamdemic. Used to go about once a week, but as the quality has dropped and the consistency has slipped ,l rarely go anymore. This was just a really bad experience all around. I almost never leave a bad review and this is probably the first time I have ever given a 1-star review. When we arrived, they said there would be about a 15 minute wait. They did not take our name or cell number or even give us a number--nothing. The gentleman that came to sit people would just walk up to any party and say, "How many?" Then he would sit that party if they didn't say, "They were here before me." It still only took about 5 minutes for us to be seated. They took our drink orders fairly quickly, but it took a while before we were brought chips and salsa. Then the salsa was a tiny individual-serving size bowl. It was several minutes before anyone took our food order. My friend and I ordered a choriqueso and the fish tacos to share. Then, we waited . . . And waited . . . And waited some more. My friend ordered a tequila shot to enhance his Koolade margarita, and we asked for more salsa at the same time. We had been out for 20 minutes or more, but the refill came right away. It took around 15 minutes for the shot of tequila to arrive. Then, we waited some more. After waiting about a half hour longer, my friend tried to flag down our waiter to just get our check, but we couldn't even get him to come over when we waved. When we finally did get his attention, I told him we had been there for an hour and 40 minutes but had not gotten our food yet. He started backing away before we could even ask for our check. He called back and said, "They are checking on your food." No apology. No "Would you like more chips and salsa?" (We were out of both.) Then he brings my friend another shot of tequila and says, "It's free for you. Your food will be right out." It was still 10 more minutes before our food came out. When it arrived the 2 fish tacos just came with only rice. The menu said they came with rice and beans. I know because I don't eat rice. I considered asking for beans only with them, but decided that it was too busy for a complicated order. I asked about the beans. The guy who brought out our food said that they didn't come with beans, but he would get me some since we had been waiting so long. He made it sound like he was doing me a huge favor. I asked my friend if the menu said beans or not, and he agreed that it definitely did say beans and rice came with the fish tacos. The fish tacos were good, but nothing special. I thought the choriqueso was pretty good, but it tasted like ground beef--not like chorizo queso I have had in the past. The first cup of salsa we had was really good, but the 2nd was just like tomato sauce. They offered me a free dessert for our wait, but I honestly didn't want to wait another minute for more food to arrive. This was a Cinqo de Mayo FAIL! I think the place is fairly new. The service wasn't this bad for the tables around us. Other people received their food fairly quickly comparatively. There was a large party of 10 sitting beside us. They placed their order at the same time we did. Their food came out in a reasonable amount of time. It sounded like a couple of the orders were incorrect, however. I hope they get some systems in place for sitting people and for checking on tables more consistently. It will be a long time before I am willing to give them another chance, though. We were there for over 2 hours, and we ordered an appetizer and 2 fish tacos. It will take me a while to get over that experience. read more

This place was amazing! Before it was under new management I was always scared to try it because the reviews were not good at all. But I saw they were remodeling and a new owner took over and decided that we had to try it because the new reviews were very promising. The prices are so reasonable! And the staff were very friendly and their customer service was spot on. I always appreciate good and fast customer service because I've been a server most of my life. Our server would work very fast and efficient and he was very nice! They make the guacamole right in front of you at your table which is such a fun experience to watch! I had the tamales and they were so tasty. This place is definitely a new favorite of ours here in Enterprise! We are so thankful for a great Mexican cuisine here! read more
