Came in on 11/20 for a late lunch and everything was delicious. Food was hot, produce was fresh, and salsa was great! My carnitas were very good and the serving was perfect. We also ordered a carnitas burrito and it was huge. The staff was prompt and kind. They originally made the wrong burrito due to a menu change, and corrected it quickly without issue. It was very peaceful and quiet inside, a nice change from the concerts at other places in town. It is also clean and smells good. I highly recommend eating here, we will be back for Taco Tuesday next week! read more

I've been going here since it opened. The food is mediocre to ok, typical Mexican fare. Some days are better than others. The service is good, no issues. Their latest scam is charging you a fee to use your credit card to pay after they raised their prices. It's the old adage of quality down, price up and pay another fee on top of that to further pad the bill. That's why the maybe, with a 3 star rating. read more

This is our fourth attempt at Mexican in Enterprise and the first time we are happy and will come back again. The salsa tells you everything you need to know and theirs is excellent. The service has been stellar and our meals very tasty. The skinny margarita is made with some kind of soda, so not great. We are here at peak Friday night dinner hour and the space between tables and booths distributes sound efficiently. We can easily hear each other and are not overwhelmed by noise. read more

My chevich was sweet and had to many onions in it, found out their Delmar sauce made it sweet. I didn't even eat a quarter of it. Great service but why did a neighboring non-Mexican restaurant create better salsa then La Leyanda? The decor in the restaurant gives a pseudo-Mexican feel. One time was enough for my wife and I. This is probably only one out of two Mexican restaurants that I can eat at out here. We have only been twice but when I miss Mexican food from back home, we have come here. I used to like that they would prepare to-go virgin frozen drinks. When we went last time, they said that they can no longer do that so I assume some meatball screwed it up. We have gotten take out both times. The food is prepared quickly and the ladies have always been pleasant at the register. Our last visit, they missed several items on our order but once I called to let them know, they had it ready in less than 10 minutes when I came back. They have a long menu which can be a little confusing but they seem to cover all of the major dishes that one would need. The food overall is okay and not something that I crave or would miss when I leave. It is however, noteworthy given that the options in town are slim to none with some restaurants making Taco Bell look 5-star. read more

We eat here about once a month. We usually are seated promptly and the server is there within a minute. We have tried numerous things on the menu and still are not half way through it. It takes a while for food preparation but you don't notice as the chips and salsa are great. They probably have your favorite here and if you don't see it on the menu they can probably make it. read more

We were in this shopping center, picking up some things from the pet store, when we decided we wanted to check out the little taco truck the next block over. Only something caught my eye on the signage outside of La Leyenda when we drove by, so we decided to eat there instead (without checking Yelp first, I might add). The chips and salsa were pretty standard, nothing special, but the guacamole was obviously fresh and very tasty. My husband ordered the vegetable quesadilla (which I had half of), and his only complaint was that the vegetables were grilled prior to assembly. This isn't to say that the dish wasn't good because it was, but perhaps it would have been nice if the vegetables had been cooked a little less and were actually recognizable. I went with the shrimp with Mexican rice, and it was a lovely looking plate. The rice had great flavor, and the shrimp and broccoli were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The cheese on the plate was actually cheese, used sparingly and not that weird cheese sauce which so many mediocre Mexican places often use in excess. The interior is pretty dated and the menu is overwhelmingly large, but both the service and food were great! read more

I had the shrimp diablos, they were good but could be more spicy. I would order again. The service is meh, I didn't get tortillas with my meal, what Mexican restaurant doesn't give you tortillas with your meal. Tortillas should be a given! A Mexican meal with no tortillas is like peanut butter with no jelly. I'll probably go back cause I'm from the Southwest and I love Mexican food and I need my fix. This is my go to Mexican restaurant. Authentic. Delicious. Fresh. I've only ever had the steak fajitas because they're so good and I don't want to eat anything else while I'm there. Hubby tried the chile rellenos and liked it and he's extremely picky about his rellenos. His only critique was he wanted more sauce on them. The horchata is delicious. There's another mexican restaurant that doesn't serve horchata or micheladas (wtf!) so another point for la leyenda! Love this place. read more

We've gotten the same waitress twice now and she delivers our food and immediately leaves without asking if we need anything and we never see her again. I don't expect servers to be super friendly but she is no where near cordial. They all have their good and bad, but La Leyenda has more unique and authentic options than any place I've been. I really wish they had a more impressive salsa to go with their fresh chips, but for a free appetizer I can't complain. Called in a to go order, got there an waited around for 20 minutes for an employee to help me at the check out register. Finally I had to walk in the back and ask for someone to please help me check out, and automatically he gave the worst attitude to me. Wasn't helpful in finalizing my payment and pretty much told me to f*** off. Won't be going back there ever again. Which is a shame cause I used to love this place. Employees/ managers should not be able to treat paying customers like pieces off trash. If you want a good experience Mexican restaurant go to anyplace other than these rude people! read more

First of all, I could have just eaten the chips and salsa all day. Someone please bring a bucket of the salsa to my house! This is my sisters' new favorite Mexican restaurant, and since I'm visiting for Christmas, we decided to go here for lunch. I ordered the lunch special #5, which was a burrito with rice and beans. I was a bit disappointed in the burrito, as it didn't really have much flavor, and there seemed to be some sort of aftertaste that I couldn't quite put my finger on. The salsa was nice and chunky and tasted good, and the chips were hot when first brought to the table. It seemed that they cooled rather quickly, though. Because my sisters highly recommended it, though, I would give this place another chance on my next visit, perhaps. It was the lunch hour and service was friendly, but a little slow.
