This place is a must-visit in Madrid. It's a local spot with only a handful of tables, I think we were the only tourists there. Super charming on the inside, no frills and very casual. None of the staff speak English but they do have an English translated menu (which I think is a recent update as this place is seeming to get more popular now). Our server, who we think was also the owner, was the sweetest man and he spoke very slowly so we could try to understand his Spanish. The food was INCREDIBLE. Every dish is very traditional, authentic Madrileños cuisine. We ordered the Callos Madrileños, the fried garbanzos (amazing), the chipirones, and the solomillo de cebon gallego. Everything was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. For dessert we got the sorbete de limon with cava. The staff coursed out each dish and it was perfect. This has been our favorite meal during this trip by far! If you're looking for a great local spot with authentic cuisine, and something not touristy, this is the place. read more
