Came in high and they over measured by twice the amount. I recommend you watch their measurements. They were measuring 85 square feet and other companies came back with 45. I attempted to email them to discuss the incorrect measurements and it was ignored. Paul was who I was working with. I guess business is too good to write people back. I will spend my money elsewhere.

We contacted several local contractors, who either never responded, called and made an appointment but never showed, showed to give a quote but never followed through. In May of 2024, I saw an ad on Facebook for New Life Bath & Kitchen of Santa Maria and sent them a message asking if they worked in Santa Ynez, they said "Yes, let us know what you need help with". At the end of October 2025, we stop in their showroom to get advice and discuss our options. Karlie was our first point of contact; she explained their process and set up an appointment with Paul to come out to measure and get our wants and needs the following week. A week later we met Paul and Karlie to go over cabinets, a computer-generated project design and estimate of the remodel. We took the proposal home to review and made a few changes and decided to move forward. Due to the upcoming holidays, we moved the project start date to after the first of the year. January 6, 2026, Maurico (Mac) and Adrian came in to start the demolition of the master bathroom. The work, cleanup and most importantly the communication that we receive from Mac was outstanding. Mac is very thorough and talented in his work. Everything went according to plan and on February 27, 2026, the project was almost complete, waiting on the shower glass and mirrors. The project was completed in its entirety March 3, 2026. Cassandra did a wonderful job finalizing the final accounting. The drywallers and painters with New Life were also great to work with. Central Coast Marble & Granite did a great job with the countertop, back splash and pony wall tops. Kurt with C&S Shower Door was amazing as were his installers. All of the staff from Karlie, Paul, Mac, Adrian and Cassandra were very friendly, helpful and courteous. We couldn't ask for a better group of people to work with. Our only regret is that we didn't follow through in 2024. Should we need more work done we will be contacting "New Life Bath & Kitchen". We love our NEW bathroom!! John & Mary Kay Goodwin

The ladies running the countertops and painting departments were really nice and got me scheduled for paint and countertops. I ended up hiring a painter before our painting appointment came. Countertop person came over to measure and he informed me that there would be a fee of $150 to get a quote. It was an automatic turn off. No other companies do this. It should have been mentioned before we even booked the appointment. He gave me a ballpark number that was at least 7k to 10k over the company I intend to use. Appointment was a waste of time. Don't recommend you fall for the same thing I did. Look elsewhere

They gave us two prices one for $3,400 and the other for $5,700 which is for two different types of quarts. I have been in contact with them from the day they left our condo almost everyday with questions and concerns. Sometimes they responded right away and sometimes it took days. It seems as they did not want our business right after I said our building need certificate. They came back days after and said if they have to provide insurance it'll be $2,000 more on top of the cheapest quarts which is insane. In short from Dec 4th till Jan 4th in 30 days the price went up from $4,300 to $5,700 I said why did the price go up in less then 30 days? They said sorry their whole sale cost went up I said you gave me a price less than 30 days ago. They under priced and could not get out of this and they lied and scammed trying to get out of the deal. Don't trust these people. Oh and they also lied and said the lowest price they provided on Dec 4th was $4,700 which is not true. GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!

In May…read more2025, They installed a quartz kitchen countertop for us that had two major issues in our opinion. SL Marble admitted to one of their mistakes, but not the other. As a contractor for Home Depot, they told us to complain to Home Depot about their work. Between Home Depot and San Luis Marble, we had to wait until Nov 2025, over five months, to get our kitchen finished, while our disconnected oven and dishwasher sat in separate rooms. We had to wait several stress filled months for a job that should have been corrected in less than 30 days. We felt like we were being held hostage until we agreed to pay significant extra funds for San Luis Marble's mistakes.

The problem doing this is that you must purchase a large slab, find someone to cut, finish, transport and install it. I saw The Top Shop's ad in the Lompoc Record and I went by to see if they had any remnants as I didn't need a very large piece. Greg was very accommodating and tolerant of my indecisiveness. He showed me what remnants he had that would meet my needs. Since I was having the fireplace retiled, I decided to use the same countertop material for the hearth too. He also knew someone who could do my tile work and they coordinated the project together. Greg and George do beautiful, precision work. I am so pleased with the outcome. The old hearth was terrible with chipped tile that had been painted and it wasn't level. Now I have a beautiful, sleek, level hearth with a matching countertop.
