Jeff's team (Glen and Al) did a super job of hand sanding down areas, staining them to match existing and putting a new oil finish over the repairs so that they blended in. I found some inexpensive laminate flooring at Home Depot that was an acceptable match to some…read moreexisting flooring in a mobile home I'd purchased. Home Depot's installation estimate seemed pretty high for one small bedroom, and the employee who came to measure was rude, so I looked around for someone else to install it. A local flooring company gave me Ken Jensen's number. Ken's estimate was quite a bit less than what Home Depot wanted. He'd had a cancellation and had time to install it the next day, but I hadn't picked up the flooring yet, and I was living 3 hours away. He agreed to pick up the product from Home Depot for me, so that we could get the project done sooner. Ken wasn't impressed with the underlayment that Home Depot carried, so he picked up some from G&S flooring, instead. I wouldn't have thought it would matter, because you can't see it, but there is a huge difference in the way the floor in that room FEELS, compared to the rooms that had been done previously-- it's quieter and softer to walk on. The floor came out absolutely beautiful! Not only that, but he saw the extra pieces of flooring that the previous owner had left, and he swapped out a damaged board in another room at no charge. I was so impressed with Ken's work that I asked him to install vinyl tile in my laundry room (white) and my workshop (blue and white checked). Again, his service was exceptional! After finishing the laundry room, he came back the next day to install a piece of metal trim on the edge of the raised platform that my washer and dryer sit on. He noticed that a piece of wooden trim underneath was sagging, which would have eventually caused the vinyl tile to crack, so he removed it and trimmed the tile, before installing the metal trim piece. It looks great, and he didn't charge extra, even though it was a little more work. I'm hoping to sell my mobile home in a year or two and buy a house, and I'm already planning the flooring I'm going to have Ken do! I'm so happy with my new floors, and I'm thankful that I was given Ken's number. See photos. (Laundry room photo coming soon.)
