This is a fantastic Italian restaurant in Grenoble just off Victor Hugo Plaza. It opens after 7pm and gets packed quick. So, get there when it opens. It is small inside, but puts a lot of tables outside during the warm season. The pizza is just like you are in Italy. The dough is thin underneath, with thick brick oven crust that is perfect to dip in the hot Italian oil they give you.
I had the three cheese pizza. The three cheeses were mozzarella, gorgonzola, and chevre. Different than most multiple cheese pizzas, but very tasty. I paired it with chorizo, prosciutto, and onions which made it perfect. Their pizzas are 33cm pizza, more than enough for one, and easily filling for two. Afterwards, my colleagues and I tried their limoncello and meloncello. Both were homemade and wonderful. It was my first time trying a meloncello. Tasted like refreshing cantalope juice, with a kick. So good.
There are many pizza places in Grenoble. This is one of my go to spots when I am in Grenoble, since they do great Italian dishes, their calzones are superb, and their other dishes fresh and fantastic. Recommend if you are craving great pizza when you are in Grenoble, visit San Luigi. It is off the beaten path, tucked away in a corner and hard to find. But a real hidden gem. read more
