There are many pizza places in Grenoble. Many are authentic Italian style, since it is south France close to Italy. This one is not. The dough is typical Italian style, but the rest are very fresh unique styles similar to typical ones with a twist. They only had French menus. I was able to comprehend most having studied French long time ago and of course have the trusty internet with me. Many of the pizzas came with jaune d'oeuf. I looked it up and it said egg yolk. I asked the chef about it. I assumed it was cooked. He said, "No, it is put on the pizza right after pizza comes out of the oven." That seemed unusual, but when eating abroad, why not try new or unusual. I ordered the Carnivore, which sounded like our meat lovers pizzas in the states. It was different but very very tasty. There were actual chunks of steak. Not thin slices like the states. It was juicy tender fresh cut and cooked beef chunks. In addition, there was a special hard sausage, curry chicken, with mozzarela and fresh tomatos. It was spectacular. I wasn't sure what to do with the egg yolk, so I took the crust from my first piece and dipped it in the yolk. Perfect. They have so many other unique pizzas, so I will definitely be back to try each. This is not your typical pizza place, but is fun and tasty, so be ready for a mouth watering surprise. read more
