This station is great little commuter hub for the South Bay. I am an in and out of this station…read morejust about every weekday when I take ACE to work from Tracy. There are many free shuttles that ACE operates to get passengers quickly to and from their workplaces in the mornings and in the afternoons. There is also access to VTA light rail within a 5 minute walk from the station at either the Lick Mill or Levi's Stadium/Great America stations. I park a car at the station Tuesday-Thursday to get back and forth from my office in downtown Mountain View to the station. There's plenty of parking at both the paved VTA lot and also at the unpaved lot that was used as parking and trailer space for the Levi's station construction. The unpaved lot is a lot closer to the train platform, but I'm not entirely sure how much longer they're going to allow ACE passengers to park there now that construction is complete on the stadium. On Mondays and Fridays, I usually take the VTA light rail into downtown Mountain View. If you have to make a similar trip, take the red ACE Shuttle to the Crossman VTA station instead of walking down to Lick Mill. The connection to the light rail is usually really tight and the shuttle will take you farther down the light rail line, which will save you a run down the hill to the station. The only thing that sucks about this station is that there are no restrooms. There is one porta-poty with a lock on it that is only to be used by the shuttle drivers. If there's a big delay, you'll have to go over to the Carl's Jr to use the restroom. It's rarely an issue, but it does happen.

Traveling to and from an event at Levi's stadium- this is the stop! Convenient in and out. Plenty…read moreof guides around to help you find you way around as well. A short walk away from the stadium.

The first rule of naming transit stations is that the name should be simple. That means no slashes…read more Choose the name that's the most important or that is most different from other local station names. This station has a triply unfortunate name because (a) it has that slash, (b) "Metro" is an awful name for a metro station, because it sounds like the kind of station rather than the station itself, and (c) one would assume that it's possible to access the airport directly from a station with "Airport" in its name, but one would be incorrect, because in order to reach the airport, one has to take a VTA bus (line 60) from here. Wow, so that name is awful. How about the station itself? It's OK. Like most VTA stations, it feels too small and like it's in the middle of nowhere. Again, a station with the words "Metro" and "Airport" in its name feels like it should be right in the middle of all the urban action, but this station manages to make the surrounding area feel like an industrial wasteland even though most of San José (including its pathetic downtown) is decidedly suburban. I told Dan and Jorge that there would be parking near this station, but they assured me there wouldn't be. Lo and behold, when we came back here and had to get a ride because we hadn't parked, I spied three parking spots on one street within a block of the station. The bigger question is why I continue to allow a resident of Santa Clara and San José, respectively, to tell me, a resident of San Francisco, how difficult parking in a given area is. Jorge has never lived in San Francisco, but Dan has; he should know better. Difficult means there's absolutely no street parking within a mile, maybe a mile-and-a-half. I'm sure I would have been able to find a legal parking spot before we went to the concert.

This is the 6th time I have used the bus to get to and from the airport…read more It comes frequently, is clean, free. Mornings - I like. Driver always seems to be in good mood. This morning was no exception. Really nice, friendly individual. Evenings - I am less a fan of. The drivers seem short, unfriendly. Once the bus left without me - even with me standing right in front of door. So I will avoid nights going forward.... But mornings are excellent =)

I met up with some friends and headed into SF for an activity…read more This is the first time I've taken BART, so I wasn't sure what to expect - other than crowds. When I drove into this station, I realized that it was huge. There were plenty of parking - both outside right in front of the station and inside the garage, which was a bit farther to walk from, but obviously had more shade. I also saw that they had chargers for EVs right in front. After paying the parking ticket, $3/day, I walked over to the station to find my friends. It was very quiet around 10:30 on a weekend, which was surprising to me - I thought much more people would be taking BART on the weekends. Maybe it was too early/late? Once we got our Clipper Cards, we went through the turnstile and started our trip. It wasn't crowded at all as we got on, but more and more people got on as we got closer to SF. As we were moving past a bunch of the other stations, I realized that not all stations were created equal - at least from what I could see out the window. Berryessa station seemed much calmer, cleaner and more spacious than many of the other stations - as well as more updated. I'm not sure when each station was built - so it could be that Berryessa may be one of the newer stations and therefore more modern looking. Our ride back later in the afternoon had more people, but even then - not fully packed at all. We were still all able to find seats and ride comfortably back. We did think about walking over to the Flea Market, but decided against it in the end as we were all tired from our adventure in the city.

We parked our car at the 3-story parking lot around 11 am on 5/2/2026 and paid the all-day fee…read more When we come back from the trip, we found our car has been scratched with some kind sharp object. I wish there are safety guard around the newly built station.
