We are staying at the San Firenzi Suites & Spa for my daughter's wedding. The location could not be more romantic, located on the Piazza di San Firenze, and a stone's throw from the Duomo. Another fantastic hotel in Italy...It's hard to find a bad location in the middle of Florence but this one was around the corner from the Uffizi gallery, a 5 minute walk to the Duomo in one direction and the river in the other. (And generally no more than 10 minutes by foot to wherever you wanted to go. It was perfect. It was also super-nice. We had a "deluxe luxury suite." The room was recently renovated and was very tasteful and spacious. It was basically only one room though (plus a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, separate closet area, and a balcony facing the interior of the hotel) and our sensibility typically says a suite would have a living space separate from the bedroom, so that was a tiny bit disappointing since one of us likes to stay up later and have a place to do that outside of the bed.) So although that was minorly disappointing, the room itself was really nice, modern while still fitting into a classic Italian vibe, luxurious feeling, and with a view of the Duoma directly outside the window. The breakfast was alright...they had everything we needed including some gluten free options for my wife and coffee drinks made to order for us, though we've seen better looking spreads at other places. Besides the location, the true star of the place where the super friendly, warm and helpful staff. We spent a lot of time talking with Santiago and Allesandro who got to know us well, and who were beyond helpful with everything we could want from very specific restaurant recommendations to helpful information about the ongoing, intermittent transportation strikes and how they would affect us. We were sad to leave when our 4 night stay was over. You couldn't beat the location and the service. read more

One of our favorite hotels on our Italy trip. They welcomed us with strawberries and champagne and chocolates in our room, which was big and had a beautiful view of the duomo, and was centrally located. Our kitchenette was cute and had a minibar where everything was free except alcohol. This included some sodas and snacks. They have a happy hour in the afternoon with wine and water for guests, but no sodas. Their spa, however, was very disappointing. It's basically a room in their basement with a couple rickety massage tables, some cushioned lounge chairs, a sauna, and a hot tub. The massages my husband and I got were not very good (lots of hard rubbing without enough oil). I would not recommend getting a massage here, even if it's a good offer in combination with the hotel room, which is how they got us. The hotel, however, I would recommend. read more

We stayed at San Firenze from March 18-21 as a family of 4. We were in the suite. If we go back to Florence, this is where we will stay. Their service is EXCEPTIONAL. Every single staff member was great. Courteous, polite, helpful, responsive... I cant say enough good things about them. They made all restaurant reservations for us, even for other cities we were travelling to. They made transport arrangements with an excellent company. The location is FABULOUS. Its literally 10-15 minutes from all major attractions. Pros: STAFF, Breakfast Spread, Locations Cons: The electrical outlets in the bedroom of our suite were no compatible with the adapters. The ones in the bathroom worked better. They should also invest in some USB ports. The second area of improvement were the beds in the bedroom. They were oddly lumpy and gave us back pain. read more

We just returned from a six night stay here and had a great experience. We are a small family of 3 but still prefer to get at least a junior suite when traveling, as a regular room is a bit too crowded. San Firenze Suites offers spacious junior suites at what I consider extremely reasonable prices (although the fact that we were traveling in March, still low season in Italy, may have been a factor in the pricing as well). Our room here was very big (especially by European standards) with a sofa bed for our child, immaculately clean, and very comfortable, with the Duomo view I requested. Because of the pandemic, the hotel serves breakfast in your suite at no additional charge, which we appreciated and took advantage of. The breakfast was good (the chocolate croissants in particular were very tasty) but did get a little repetitive by the end. The rooms are well-insulated and we never heard any noise from any other guests. The staff is very friendly, and the location really can't be beaten. Florence is pretty compact, but from this hotel you're within a 10-15 minute walk of just about all the major tourist sites. The beautiful Piazza della Signoria (with a replica of the David and a bunch of pigeons our kiddo loved chasing) is just around the corner. We loved the restaurant Auditore on one of the corners of the Piazza and it was open all day and perfect for families. Our favorite gelateria in Florence, Gelateria Dei Neri, was only about a 5 minute walk away, which we took great advantage of. The one negative thing I will say is that we were disappointed in the airport transfers we arranged through the hotel. They were expensive and on the pickup the driver was late because he was apparently waiting for us in some spot that had not been communicated to us (he showed us some translated text on his phone that said he was waiting in the private plane area but that I'm assuming that was a translation error because they had our flight info and we definitely do not fly on private jets, lol). We saw many other drivers picking up arriving travelers in the baggage claim area where we were waiting, so I don't think we went to the objectively wrong place. On the return trip our driver was great, but they forgot to add the booster seat we had requested for our 4 year old. In hindsight we should have just brought our own booster seat and taken cabs. But this isn't a criticism of the hotel itself and shouldn't deter you from staying here. read more

My wife and I spent several days at San Firenze Suites recently and were extremely happy with the quality of the accommodations and particularly with the service we received from the staff. I made reservations on line directly with the hotel and was very happy with the quality of the responses I received. I immediately received a detailed confirmation and was able to arrange a pickup at the airport on our arrival and a drop off on departure. The staff were very helpful in making a variety of arrangements for us including reservations (necessary) at the Uffizi and a personal guide who showed us Florence as well as the gallery. The staff also made some excellent suggestions for nearby restaurants and helped us with reservations, called for cabs, helped with train tickets for a trip we made to Lucca etc. The room was quiet and luxurious and very comfortable. The location can't be beat it is on Piazza San Firenze which is a few short steps from the Uffizi, Palazzo Vechio and many other attractions. There are many relatively non-touristy restaurants near by (see my other reviews). The breakfast was very good. San Firenze Suites is a boutique hotel not a budget hotel but I have found that in touristy cities like Florence it is worth having a very nice hotel so that one can escape from the crowds for a while. I highly recommend the San Firenze Suites and would definitely return. read more

My wife and I stayed 3 nights as part of our honeymoon. There couldn't be a better location in the heart of Florence and on top of that the hotel is beautiful, clean, and full of great service. The room wasn't large and comfortable. Breakfast was incredible - a great spread and they make you fresh espresso or cappuccinos too. Staff was amazing the entire stay. The only constructive feedback i have is that the marble shower floor was too high so the water ran over and out of the shower so we had to soak it up with a towel after a shower, but still a 5 star and I'd stay here again and recommend it to anyone going to Florence. read more

This was my favorite hotel in all of Italy. Amazing clean, amazingly spacious, with impeccable service. We had a room facing the square with had beautiful window you could open up towards the square. I was pregnant during our trip so I asked them for a bucket of ice almost every afternoon, and they obliged quickly and kindly. We also a minor incident where the shower did not drain properly the first night. We reported it to the front desk and it was taken care of immediately. Great AC/heating. The hotel is near numerous restaurants so we had no issues getting food for lunch/dinner. read more

We absolutely loved our stay here. We were a family of 4 vacationing, and had plenty of room here. This hotel is new, beautiful with comfy beds and a spa tub with heated towel racks. You even have a stove, micro wave, and dishwasher. It is located in Piazza de San Firenze across from the Cathedral, which is centrally located to all the attraction. It is 2 short blocks from the Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, Accadiamia, DaVinci, Palazzo Vecchio, 5 minute walk to Duomo, Baptistry, & train station. We had a great breakfast included. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. and customer service was superb. Lavania help us ever day with a map and direction on were to go, she made our stay special. Absolutely the best place to stay in all of Florence! Ideal location near all the major sites and attractions of Florence! The rooms are unbelievable! We had room 111 and it overlooked the piazza near the Bargello and short walk to the Uffizi gallery. The staff are incredibly helpful with directions and restaurants in the area. The lounge for the morning breakfast was just perfect! I don't know what else anyone would want when booking a stay in Florence! I had many friends that suggested the St. Regis, but at almost twice the price, I don't think so. read more

The hotel is in the middle of everything and super convenient to the top Florentine sites. Our stay was absolutely perfect. Excellent walking location to almost all of the main sites and the staff is fabulous. The breakfast is good and there are plenty of little cafes within a very short walk if you don't want to eat at the hotel. We had a room with 2 twins pushed together. The layout of the room with the closet is a bit odd but really not a problem. Plenty of outlets for charging. Would stay here again for sure. read more

The quality of the room and the rest of the hotel deserves at least 7 stars. They were attentive to all of our needs, even before we asked. If you are planning a trip to Florence be sure and email them your tour ideas and they will work with you to make your trip most enjoyable.
