This place is a vibe. It's a no frills vermouth bar tucked in a narrow street, with a few seats inside and a couple barrels outside for standing. It is amazing how a place located right in the center of the city, 50-100 yards far from Plaça Sant Jaume, has not been caught by a chain, or become a trendy bar. I am pretty sure the place is exactly as it was 30-50 years ago. It is run by the mother and her son (they look the same) and it is what we call in Spain a Bar Manolo, the one you can find in the main square of all spanish towns. I have to admit that I admire and worship this kind of places. Ask for a mediana and try their famous tortilla de patatas. It is made by the mother and you can feel and see how perfect it is.
