I was really HESITANT and I mean HESITANT on taking my mom here for an MRI of her back because of all the bad reviews. When we walked in the girl at the front desk was multitasking. She was checking another patient in and immediately acknowledged us and got us started on our paperwork. The employee, Alyssa, that took us back was extremely nice and so was the RN, Lisa. The only thing I can say is I hate ACE parking. This parking garage is governed by ACE parking. There is no validation on-site. Anyone ever play Animal Crossing? ACE parking is just like Tom Nook-a bunch of crooks. I also didn't like the "security" at the main lobby. Not friendly AT ALL, but again-not something I will ding San Diego imaging for. The reason I called over here to SD imaging is because Sharp Rees Stealy could not get my mom in for a stat mri...until December. I called over here and they were able to get her in within 6 days. Also, I like that even though they have a automated phone system-the system always notifies you what caller you are. This, I appreciate. Not many companies have this and sometimes you feel like you were lost in the sea of calls. Least it tells you AND you kind of know what to expect when you are caller number 7. San Diego Imaging cut the number of lobby reception staff to 1 or 2 people -- far fewer than needed for very busy practice! SDI now adds an additional lobby "wait line" marked by an unstaffed podium. Prepare to wait in line with other ill, disabled patients & family 5 to 10 min just to check in -- after you arrive at lobby! Reception staff always on the run, answering phones, faxing results, checking in pts, "I'll be right with you . . ." Formerly welcoming, they're now overworked, stressed -- "just business . . ." Pts/family see what's happened and try to be helpful. SDI customer service now crippled by unhelpful, unwise, purposeful degradation of reception service -- to add to already rich SDI profits? Sick patients/family coming for help should not have to help SDI staff to be able to function comfortably at their jobs and to work in a pleasant healthcare work environment. My CT CAC Scan experience from the lobby staff, to the young man who took me in and set me up, to the Technician/ Dr Donna was the best! They made me feel comfortable and Donna was very patient in doing all she could to make my high heart rate go down in order to start the procedure!( great explanation of the procedure prior as well) read more

Poorest customer service. No one calls back, no follow up on results. I went in on friday for a heart scan with 3D imaging. Had to call back a week later to get results. Left several messages and finally say on hold for 20 minutes to get through to a scheduler who found they had the wrong email. Results finally received but I called several days in a row for a follow up consult with no call back. No one ever answers the phone or returns any calls. Seems like a scam, but the results were somewhat confirming a previous CT CA scan done, just no better results for $1900. read more

I visited the facility recently and was surprised by the behavior of the staff. The front desk asked me to wait for my appointment but after waiting for 45 minutes and after past the due time, I asked the front desk about my appointment. She seemed forgot about me and then said she would let them know I was there. The ultrasound technician was very unprofessional and impatient. Is a negative rating possible? If so, they would score a NEGATIVE 10. It is impossible to schedule anything efficiently here. Routinely you have to wait 30 minutes or more to speak with someone who is unfriendly. When you arrive, the DESK staff is equally rude and unfriendly. The technicians themselves are GREAT. Whoever owns this place should fire all of the front desk and administrative staff. They were GLEEFUL KARENS DURING the whole COV nonsense--insisting on facemasks for about two years after Covid. And I think that emboldened in them to be rude to everyone since. read more

Had a 6:15 am appointment here for MRI. Parking easy to find, Ace parking adjacent to building. SD Imaging is on first floor through the lobby to your left at the end of the hallway. When I first arrived about 6:10 there were no lights on and door was locked. We went back to lobby and rechecked the doors about 10 minutes later and greeted by Jessica. Jessica was friendly and professional. She gave me appropriate paperwork and asked for my ID's and instructed me to give my paperwork to the staff that would be administering my MRI. A few minutes of filling out paperwork Candice greeted me and ushered me back to the dressing room with instructions of dressing gowns and removal of jewelry, etc. Candice checked back in with me approximately 5 minutes later and collected my paperwork walking me into the MRI area where I met Lisa the MRI tech. Lisa explained the procedure, helping me to feel comfortable and before you know it the procedure was over! An overall positive experience! They don't let you know that you have to pay out of pocket and will send you a bill to a collection agency even when you can't afford and the reason you have insurance is so you don't have to pay. They just want to take your money and never actually gave me my results. They email them to your doctors and expect you to pay for that. What a scam read more

I have never had a worse experience with a company. I spent a collective 3.5 hours on hold with them yesterday. When I did get through twice, the lady told me both times my doctor's office did not fax the paperwork through. My doctor's office confirmed that they did. So now I was stuck in a holding pattern. They offered no help and kept trying to blame it on my doctor's office. This experience has been so frustrating that I am now paying OUT OF MY OWN POCKET for a fetal anatomy scan. This place is the only vendor my doctor's office does business with so I would rather pay out of pocket than walk into this business. I have also lodged a complaint with my doctor's office in the hopes they will no longer do business with this awful place. I was able to book an appointment with SonoHealth in 5 minutes. Stay very far away from this place. If your doctor's office uses them as a vendor, I urge you to file a complaint to get them off the list. My child has an abnormally large head. The doc wanted a scan to ensure we're not dealing with anything nefarious. (Everything's perfectly normal, she's just got a big ass head like mom and dad). This place called the day before and when I told them we were between insurance they were very helpful in assisting us in what we needed to do to not miss the appointment. (First available was 3 weeks out). Heads up: they do not mess around with the rules. They will enforce the need for a mask (understandable) and the only one caregiver per patient. This was kinda sucky for me, a new mom, who needed to pay attention to the paper work but also keep my 2 month old calm. I think it would be nice to allow 2 support people per child. My partner stood in the hall until we were done. It would've been nice for him to be in the room with us. read more

Walking into the check in displayed a proud collection of about 10 portraits of management. All men. There was no representation of women in management positions. Stood in line in front while 2 receptionists chatted without even a greeting until I was called. I felt by this patients were not given priority. Upon leaving the parking lot attendant was really grumpy when I showed him my handicapped placard. He told me I should have used the machine first. Plaques telling handicapped how to exit simply say show your placard. Trying to back up was not fun either due to the line behind me. The second time I tried I used the machine and there was no one in the booth to check my ticket and I couldn't back up. I want to recognize a specific employee at the Oceanside facility. Her name is Frankie she went way above and beyond to help me. I had a somewhat urgent need to see test results and images ASAP. Most of the staff said I would have to wait 3-5 business days. Frankie listened to my reason for needing results quickly and she made it happen. My referring doctor had results by mid afternoon due to Frankies follow up and suggestions she really worked hard to solve the problem and she did it all with a great attitude and big smile. read more

The people were rude as hell and didn't disclose to me that we couldn't bring children until I got here so I had to sit in the lobby with my daughter and couldn't see the ultrasound of my baby in the way. If I could give them zero I would! Absolutely the worst at managing the process of getting approvals. Submitted the wrong orders to insurance which caused significant delays. I'm still 10 days out with an urgent MRI order that should be approved in 48 hours and a kiddo with excruciating pain. Do not go here, the quality of what you get is very poor. read more

I was told by text that I had an appointment at 7:30 today and the text asked me to come in at 7:15. I come in at 7:15 the doors are closed and nobody's in the office. An employee walking by tells me they don't open until eight. He tells me to wait and he'll come get me if they can see me earlier. I wait until 7:45 and walk back to see if the doors open, which it is and the guy never came to get me! I get to the counter with a girl with curly hair, she tells me they opened at 7:30. I tell her what happened and show her the text and instead of apologizing for their error she makes me feel like its my fault. An apology would have sufficed but here I am writing this bad review instead. I would give zero stars if I could. 3 young male masked techs saw me for 6:45pm MRI. They jerked me around with conflicting instructions and repeated questioning about metal in body for 20+ minutes - then used a metal scanner to show I wasn't lying. I was so cold from all of their wasted time in the freezer holding the MRI machine that they could not get a usable image. Total waste of time and Medicare money. Contacted them after to complain about whole experience and got no response. Bad business in a very crowded area. Go to a different business. read more

We were sent here for imaging for our newborn and they won't allow both parents in, so I was expected to lift and carry a 10 lb baby in a car seat and diaper backpack alone while my husband (who is vaccinated) was forced to leave. He couldn't stay alone because breastfeeding is the best way to keep an infant calm during a lengthy procedure. Their COVID policy is absolutely ridiculous in some cases. There need to be common sense exceptions. The front desk woman was exceptionally rude. She had a major attitude and showed absolutely no concern or sympathy or did not offer to help me. - on a positive note, the actual radiology tech was great. I can't even make an appointment here. It took a few weeks bouncing between the referring doctor's office and this imaging company. After several faxes not being received, I personally hand delivered the referral to Stephanie at the front desk Friday. After repeated attempts to call for an appointment, something they can't do in person at the front desk, all I could get was a recording saying I was number 17 in the queue. Same number on separate days which seems odd. I'm giving up and will ask the doctor's office for an alternate imaging service. They really need to take a hard look at their phone and fax systems. This would be especially stressful if there was an emergency medical situation. I cannot recommend this organization to anyone. read more

They were very nice and friendly when I walked in. The checked me in and I was out of there within 30 minutes. All workers were nice and made sure nothing was hurting while taking the images.
