We find them through an approved list from our insurance carrier, Kaiser. The office is clean, & check in process was some of the smoothest I have ever experienced. No shoes are allowed once you cross out of the waiting room. The front desk ladies are friendly & really got to know my son in such a short amount of time. They always knew he wanted to show them whatever toy he brought for the day & there was always a sticker he enjoyed getting they'd let him pick out. Payments were automatic and I never had any issues there. Within one session with both ladies, we were able to get him using words we knew he had in there-they just helped him bring them to life. My son & I were both bummed when we ended services due to him starting preschool & getting the services while there. Emily really grew on him. He would absolutely light up seeing both ladies. My son, his attitude, behavior, and speech all elevated by coming to Milestone. The absolute patience the staff has is incredible. My son had a couple sessions of occupational therapy and we absolutely loved our therapist as well. I felt included in each of his sessions with all the ladies & there was something we worked on each week to improve the next. My son went from saying a handful of words to now speaking sentences. We game together and he fully understands that we need to take turns. Started off as a super worried mama, and left confident that we would be more than okay. This review is for the scheduling and billing department and not the physical therapists…read more Poorly trained personnel on insurance claim and following up on patients when there is a doctor referral. I waited about 3 weeks for the clinic to contact me after our pediatrician put in a referral to see PT for my childs torticolis. When I did not hear back I called the office, the first lady said she could not find any referrals then I spoke to a second person that said the paper work sent over was incorrect. I told her since this is a time sensitive issue to go ahead and put me in as a private pay so at least we can start the evaluation and make future appts if needed. Made an appt for an evaluation, only to be called by another personnel to cancel the appt because they are not able to figure out if they are contracted with my insurance. I told them I would still want to come in for the evaluation since its already been over a month and I would pay as private pay until insurance is sorted out. I ended up seeing Miss Paige and Miss Hannah. Both are great PTs and did help improving omy childs torticolis. I ended up using 6 or 7 appointments, 3 months had passed and each time they wanted to cancel my appt because they couldnt figure out insurance coverage. Long story short I finally had to email all the claims and what my insurance had cover and my copays that I had paid for them to finally realize what was happening. Insurance companies suck I get it. I deal with them on a daily basis at my job. But not having trained personnel to deal with the insurance complexities is not acceptable in the health care industry.

Like anyone I was nervous to start over with someone new because I hadn't seen any progress with the others. Little did I know, Sharon specializes in hand therapy and this experience would be so much better. Not only does Sharon focus on the injury, the scar tissue, and range of motion but she focusses on the why and how. I had no clue one tiny movement in my thumb connected to so many muscles up my arm. Not only did Sharon take the time to explain this but she focussed on these first, rather than forcing me into exercises on the first and second meeting. I was so relieved because I didn't want to walk away in pain after already dealing with the pain of surgery/recovery. I also think it's important to note that Sharon takes the time to listen to you and actually hear you and she doesn't belittle you. I cannot tell you how often I have felt that with this particular injury -since it's "just a thumb." If you are reading this in search of a therapist and you have a choice, choose Sharon. If you are coming here because insurance chose for you, be grateful that they made such a great choice! I still have sessions with Sharon to finish out the therapy I am in now, but this is how confident I am about my experience thus far! That's why I am sharing it with you today. I highly recommend her and the other professionals at WAVE. Fast forward to 2025, after my shoulder surgery I knew where to go and who to see. Once again Sharon made all the efforts to work with me, my schedule and Tricare, so I can get the best care and recovery I need in order to get healthy. He has high sensory needs and severe speech and language delays. He loves the equipment and toys at this center for OT. Some speech sessions can be challenging because he's not motivated to talk, prefer to be under the table instead, etc. Our main Speech Therapist here is Ms. Vidya, she is fantastic! She has made so much progress with my son's speech. Chris and everyone here are very knowledgeable, experienced, and professional. These sessions not only have helped my son but also helped me with being a better primary caregiver for my son. It's really just from observing what work or doesn't work with my son during sessions and by asking questions to Chris and his team. One of the things that these sessions help me with is having a better understanding of my son's physical needs and being a better problem solver. For example, I was able to practice certain things outside of sessions to help my son with like desensitizing loud sound from hair clipper/hand dryer, putting on his clothes independently, etc. Overall, we are so grateful to have MyKidsPlace in our son's life.

The sessions are advertised as 30 minutes, but in reality they feel much shorter. The therapist usually spends the first 5-10 minutes letting our son play, then about 15 minutes on actual therapy, and the last 10 minutes cleaning up and wrapping up the session. When I called to ask about it, the person I spoke with said it's because insurance only allows them to bill for 15 minutes of therapy. It's frustrating to pay so much when only about 15 minutes of the appointment is actual therapy time. Overall, we were not impressed and ultimately decided to pull our son out.

Since we were just starting out with her speech at barely 1yo, Nikki mostly did cause and effect games with her which actually helped my daughter establish meaning to her voice. A lot of our appts were laughs and giggles with Nikki engaged with my daughter and taught her peek-a- boo and saying "Horray" at the right time to "if you're happy and you know it". Even though we moved away, I still love texting Nikki new and exciting speech things my daughter is doing. Too many therapists have improper training by districts and deny children a proper assesment. Mr. Wilson's facility is very comprehensive, clean and orderly...he has a big train set in the entrance which instantly calmed my child who loves trains. His front desk staff is kind, respectful and attentive. So far I have a high opinion of this center and this assesor and will bring my other children who need OT services here. I should also add that I've been to many OT centers and some are run in a very "mill"/"factory" way where the kids are pushed through. I did not get that feel here.

From Stephanie (the owner) who was the first person who called me and took the time to understand my concerns and questions, to the wonderful staff and therapists, it is such a great experience! Sabrina and Marissa are especially amazing! But all of the therapists there truly care and do their best to support you and your children. OT is a world I didn't know much about, but I felt very supported and got a lot of information and help. Their facility is also really big and has so many fun things to engage your kids like a zip line; trampoline, ball pit; games, feeding room, etc. I highly recommend going to them and you will see your children grow and develop.

They also wanted us to go on a waitlist 2-3 months from now so in the long run we won't actually get our help 3-4 months. If I could give zero stars I would.
