I was referred to this Spine and Sport location by my PCP because I've been dealing with chronic…read moreback pain for a long time, along with episodes of sciatica on the left side of my lower body after overextending during aerial silks. I specifically requested Richard, since I had read better reviews about him compared to the other PTs at this facility, and I thought I would be in good hands. After my initial assessment, Richard told me that he ultimately believed my back pain had nothing to do with my back, but was instead caused by issues with my lower body. He said we would work on strengthening both my lower body and my back, then scheduled me for PT sessions with him every Friday for the next few months. I left that appointment feeling confused and uneasy, with a strong gut feeling that something wasn't right. How could my back pain have nothing to do with my back? I was completely baffled by his conclusion and decided not to return. I tried another PT afterwards, but unfortunately, that experience wasn't helpful either, so I stopped PT altogether for a while. A couple of months later, my back pain became unbearable. I went back to my PCP and asked for X-rays, which revealed that I have severe degenerative disc disease at L1-L2 along with arthritis in my spine--something that had been developing for some time. So what does this say? Richard, the so-called "PT," had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. I am stunned by this level of ignorance and negligence from a "professional". After a full assessment, he not only told me my back pain wasn't related to my back--a claim that is about as absurd as it gets--but he also pushed me to commit to months of PT with him instead of referring me for further imaging or evaluation, which is what he should have done. Please avoid this place like the plague. It is a complete sham and a scam. The fact that I, the patient, had more sense than the person who is supposed to be a trained professional caring for people in pain is both alarming and unacceptable. Please get your PT care elsewhere!!

We came everyday, multiple times a day and she NEVER had cold water. Furthermore she wasn't eating and they kept giving her the full dose of insulin even after we requested otherwise MANY times, leading to her having many hypoglycemia episodes. We even requested her having a sitter at meals to ensure she eats, but of course we didn't get that. The cherry on top is us bringing my grandma home AMA & her having a pressure injury on her heel... how this was missed & caused is unacceptable. I had to ask them to turn her more often because she was laying in the same position every time I visited her. But she still has one. Absolutely terrible, regret ever bringing her here

It's well organized, clean, professionally staffed, and very reasonably priced. It was easy to make the decision to move my parents in because there is only a small move-in community fee ($1k) that is sometimes waived all together. Pricing is for studios, 1 Bed or 2 Bed units. And it's extremely flexible in that you only have to give 30 days notice to vacate without any further charges. The activities are well organized- a great balance between social events, physical activities, mental challenges. Top picks include smoothie socials, bingo, chair yoga, coffee and doughnuts. My dad is stubborn and picky and he has finally settled in and enjoys being here.

Each time her 3 grown kids and other family members visited Alice, she had such a good time. Alice had health issues with her breathing and required oxygen bottles daily.  The service people at La Vida Real helped make each delivery and set-up of anything she needed for medical reasons as easy as possible.  Any time she had a maintenance issue or question, the service responded very quickly and treated Alice special. As time went on, our mom invited us to enjoy dinner or lunch with her in their dining room.  The waitstaff and food were always the best and they treated us as friends.  We found it very comforting when we noticed the servers treated our mom as if they'd known her for many years and they loved her.  As if she was their own mother. They knew our mom loved their cookies after a meal but she liked to take them back to her apartment. The server would bag up her cookie and slip in an extra one for her. In April of 2026, Alice started having severe difficulties with her breathing and her medication was adjusted.  Her 3 kids took shifts and stayed with her 24/7 and she was closely monitored by medical staff.  Unfortunately, after a valiant struggle to keep going, our beautiful mom passed away in her sleep on April 27, 2026.  She had family at her side.  We are all heartbroken. She was 88 years young. After we notified the front desk and the necessary procedures started, we began the process of ending her tenancy.  We learned there were some stipulations in her contract that called for either a 60 day or a 30 day notice to be made in the event of ending a tenancy.  This stipulation included 30-day notice to end a tenancy due to the death of the tenant. We contacted Business Director Kristin Molina and Executive Director Kim Garcia and explained our situation.  They gave us their condolences and we explained how our mom really loved their complex and how she made so many friends in only 8 months.  After a short period of time, and knowing Alice themselves, they fully understood our grief and the difficulties we would be facing as we prepared for our mom's memorial.  Being that the stipulation was in a signed contract, we prepared ourselves to be required to abide by the 30-day notice and pay another month's rent. A short while after our conversation, we were contacted by Kristin and Kim and after they repeated their condolences for our loss and told us they enjoyed having our mom as their tenant, they explained they were waiving the 30 day notice and our mom's final invoice would show as $0.  Their compassion for our loss gave us a relief we very much needed. We want people to know that the staff at La Vida Real have proved that they care about families and their loved ones and their compassion is real.  They understand our grief and they will do what they can to make the difficult and painful process a little easier. Thank you to all the staff at La Vida Real. Rest in Peace Mom.

Since then, I've worked with various Hospice and Home Health agencies as well as Skilled Nursing facilities--but I can say, without hesitation, that Lorian stands out as one of the very best in the field of Home Health Care. What truly sets Lorian apart is the heart behind the work. The entire staff--from the caregivers to the office team--exudes compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to the well-being of their patients. The owners, especially Julian, consistently go above and beyond to ensure both their patients and employees feel supported, valued, and cared for. In an industry where genuine compassion and quality care can sometimes be hard to find, Lorian is a shining example of what home health care should be. I'm grateful to have been part of such an exceptional team, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking top-tier care for their loved ones or a supportive workplace in the healthcare field. I'm 72 and have been bedridden for several years in debilitating pain. My Nurse Connie, has been excellent on every level for last 8 months. Connie had sprained her back & told me she'll be returning in 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately, while Connie was out. I had some misunderstandings regarding the scheduling of the replacement nurses. My only request was the nurse kindly text & arrange a visit with me at least one day in advance which did not happen consistently. Additionally I needed only one visit temporarily per week due to taking steroids which was a conflict with my twice weekly injection of Toradol. I received a call from an supervisor named Sherita who threatened she would be calling my primary doctor to discharge me if I didn't permit a specific nurse to come during Connie's absence. This seemed extreme measures as i had already had seen both him and another nurse in her absence. For some reason, she took it to mean I wasn't pleased with the available nurses which was not the case. Additionally, I was accused of refusing to see any other nurse while Connie was out. I felt her tone was very disrespectful, insensitive and the situation blown out of proportion while my nurse was texting me almost daily she would be back soon. This was not the first time I felt Lorian management treated me more like a number as opposed to a valued patient. But the nurses have been great so I've stayed. UPDATE: The next day i heard from Ethan, the Director of Patient Care who responded to this review. You would expect someone in his capacity to reach out in a conciliatory manner to find a suitable resolution to a dissatisfied long term patient's concerns. Instead, the purpose of his call was simply a curt voicemail to inform me he had taken action himself to discharge me from Lorian without any effort to communicate with me first or investigate my side of the story. His abrupt response and tone could only be described as retaliatory. His last statement was to the effect "I'd like to know what your opinion is of this!" This poor rating is NO reflection on Nurse Connie's service who deserves 5 stars plus! And to the wonderful Laura Park who was my nurse for many years and now a Lorian supervisor!
