Don't do it! I…read morediscovered Dwight Van Slyke DBA: A New Kitchen, and was convinced by his portfolio that his work was solid. He promises a quality that he cannot deliver, he mis-measured my kitchen leaving me with new cabinets which are much shorter than the old, and one year after signing a contract, STILL has not completed the work (although he kept my cc info on file and managed to charge my credit card for the completion). I have a dispute open with my credit card company, whom he has told he has filed chapter 13. AVOID DWIGHT VAN SLYKE and his family!!

We contracted A New Kitchen to do a large remodel on our home, including: tearing down walls,…read moregutting the bathroom and kitchen down to the studs, adding new windows in the entire home as well as new plumbing and electrical. For a job this size, I suggest getting a contract, from your lawyer, to be sure that all things are spelled out ahead of time. During the entire remodel my partner and I lived in the house which (for good or not) allowed us to experience every detail during the process. Overall, we are pleased with his work. Two years later our stucco started to crack and Dwight replaced the stucco on the front and back of the house at no extra charge.

On 9/19/23, I booked QuickMaids for a move-in/move-out cleaning on 10/15/23, before the movers…read morearrived that evening with all of my stuff. I explained that this was a time sensitive operation because of the limited window to clean up after the old resident. On Friday, 10/13/23 at 10am, I texted Heather to confirm my booking. At 330pm, she replied that her car broke down 2 weeks ago and she'd let me know by 7pm if she could make it. That left me virtually no time to replace her, which to me is irresponsible, unprofessional, and unacceptable, and I told her that. This wasn't just a regular cleaning that would have been no big deal to cancel. I get that things happen and cars break down, but she knew about this issue 2 weeks in advance, and she should have let me know a week before that there was a good chance she might have to cancel. That would have given me plenty of time to replace her. I reached out to 10 places on Yelp to try to book that Sunday, but none were available. Heather got back to me at 430pm saying that her sister would take her, but I'd already lost faith in her. I finally found someone that was available on NextDoor, so I told Heather that her services were no longer needed. Her cleaning services were only average the 2 times she cleaned my place, so I'm going to give my monthly cleaning to the person I found on NextDoor from now on. Update: Removed one more star for the flood of argumentative and personally insulting texts I received from her after my initial post.

But I guess because she offered to have someone come back out and spend another 45 minutes in my house that makes it all OK and as you can see in her response it's more or less whatever and a smiley face so I think before you use this service and this is why people go with big-name companies instead of trying to help out the smaller ones!! The two people that did show up were very friendly and nice so it bothers me that I have to leave this kind of review!!!
