This is a lovely golf course. The ladies league plays every Tuesday, rain or shine. Come join us

15th hole, tee box, partial ocean view.

A little crowded at times, but beautiful course, fairly well maintained, especially for the price.

Great day on a pretty great course! Pace of play was on point, did 18 in a little over 4 hours. The drinks were great, the bar in the clubhouse made some fantastic Bloody Mary's. Carts ran well and the grounds were well maintained. Definitely will be back. My only real complaint is how difficult it is to get a tee time. And possibly some better signage for some of the holes that aren't that obvious. Other than that, the course is a diamond in the rough.

Best kept secret in OC and North San Diego. Killer course for a fraction of the cost. Good, friendly people at the course. It's a little tough to get on but if you can, watch out for the greens. They can be fast and have some crazy breaks. Super fun place, I just wish they would have the restaurant open inside so you could get something to eat and drink while you are counting up your score. Like most places, they need some additional employees hired to make this happen.

These are the oldest range balls I have ever seen

This is a great golf course very well maintained and very fun to play but I have to say the driving range is always packed and you would think that they are actually making money and could afford new golf balls. The balls are so old so are from the 70s and 80s it's like hitting a bucket of rocks and I feel like it's definitely damaging the grooves in my irons I would come here to play round of golf, but avoid the driving range unless you wanna buy a new set of irons right away

16th tee Par 4

I have never played at San Clem Muni: Its kinda far (34 mi) to this South OC course. However, I heard there are some holes with great views. I wanted to check it out. Its located East of the 5 across from San Clem Beach. The first six holes remind you of a muni: Boring layout w/ no elevation changes. However, 7 & 8 have elevation, and #9 is a challenging par 3 into the wind. Unfortunately 10, 11 & 12 are boring again. The latter are back to back par 5's that is odd in terms of course layout. In fact, 1, 10 & 12 have greens that are only 30 yds apart. After that, the course gets interesting again. Thirteen is a brutal par 3 that is over 200 yds uphill. To give you a perspective, most guys can barely hit their driver that far, let alone to a small ass green. This is supposedly the easiest hole on the course (hell nah). Fifteen is another challenging par three almost as long as #13, and you have to carry a ravine. While 16 has a blind tee shot. Followed by 17 that is uphill and 18 that is downhill. The downsides to this course is that no one was wearing masks at the driving range, and the restroom at the clubhouse is disgusting. The latter obvi shows they are not cleaning & disinfecting throughout the day: Typical OC. My overall assessment is that San Clem Muni is a tough course and deserves 3.5 Stars. The greens are small and rock hard: You can't land it the same distance as the flag bc the ball doesn't stop. It really requires you to think. Additionally, the greens are really slow compared to other courses. I didn't play well here and would like to return to redeem myself.

7am A good tee shot puts you here on hole#4.

Probably one of the best value golf course in Southern California. Even if you are not a local resident rates are still very reasonable. Condition has always been great since I have started playing here and when you factor in the cost you can't go wrong. Fairways are well maintained with an actual cut to the rough. Greens are always in good shape too. Bunkers sometimes don't seem to have much sand but thankfully I am not in there a ton. The course is pretty straight forward and forgiving with the exception of one or two holes depending on how you are playing that day lol. But overall a great option for established players and beginners. Back 9 will present the most challenging holes, but the back to back par 5's on the back are going to be the most getable. This is a great course for walking as there is not to much elevation change and all holes are close green to tee. Another plus is they accept walk-ups, and the other players in my experience have always been nice. Lastly you are in San Clemente so the weather is almost always great. Some days can be pretty windy, but just adds another element to the course.

First time playing and really enjoyed it. I was glad I was with a couple of people who knew the course as some holes were pretty tricky. Nice pro shop and beverage cart visited us a few times while we played.

Posted hours on their website.

It would be very nice place if the facilities were available during their posted hours. I showed up at 7:10pm and just got shut down from the practice range because "they wanted to shut down early" according to the pro shop. There were course attendants out an hour before dark on an open driving range, wildly inappropriate and unsafe. It was open at least to where I was able to walk up, get balls, get ready on a practice tee and have the guy who eventually told me that I had to leave look at me three times over the course of fifteen minutes before he asked me to leave. I'm going to try to avoid this place in the future and recommend the same to others, inconsistency is the worst.

Very fun municipal course. I enjoy playing it. However, I'm not sure it's worth the (new) rates they're charging non-residents.

Do they give you balls & tees (with your paid tee time) ? Can I rent clubs there ? I need to rent a left set (my son) & a right set (me) ... Thank you

They have a full golf shop with balls, tees, apparel, etc. and a range; no free balls or tees. You can also rent clubs there and should have both left/right. No extra charge… Read more

We had a situation where our tee times needed to be rearranged, and I fully expected at least one person in our party to be annoyed about it. Somehow, Ron G at Shorecliffs pulled it off like it was nothing. He reshuffled everything and managed to keep every single person in our group happy -- which honestly might be harder than playing the course itself. What impressed me most was how smoothly he handled it. No stress, no confusion, no attitude. Just calm problem-solving and clear communication. It felt like he genuinely wanted everyone to have a great day, not just "fix the schedule." Shorecliffs is a beautiful place to play, but having someone like Ron behind the scenes makes the experience that much better. If you've ever tried coordinating tee times for a group, you know how big of a win that is. Appreciate you, Ron.

The venue is gorgeous, our guests had an amazing time, and the banquet staff truly made the night special. Our guests also loved the food and drinks all night. Our banquet captain Jonah was amazing along with the rest of the waitstaff, bartender Michael was the absolute best, and DJ Bobby did a great job all night. I do want to emphasize that the actual wedding day itself ran smoothly and looked beautiful. Most of our stress came from communication leading up to the wedding and during setup. It sometimes felt like details from previous meetings were missed or had to be repeated as we met with different people each time, and there was some confusion regarding décor/setup instructions the day of. The décor storage situation was also difficult since the shed was very small, requiring us to bring back florals and assemble some décor the morning of the wedding. One thing I did appreciate was that the team provided complimentary accent lighting due to scheduling issues with our day-of coordinator. Overall, despite some communication and logistical frustrations, we truly had an amazing wedding and felt the experience was worth it for the price. Even with some of the communication issues, everything worked out and we did enjoy working with the coordinators overall. I would still recommend this venue to couples looking for a beautiful wedding without spending an extreme amount. Our guests genuinely thought the wedding felt much more expensive than it was.
