Since moving to Genius Kids, we've seen a noticeable difference in his development. The way he communicates now has improved so much. He speaks in clear, structured sentences, and his confidence in expressing himself has grown. It's been such a joy for us and even his grandparents to see this change. He genuinely enjoys going to school, has made some lovely friends, and absolutely adores his teachers. He often talks about them at home, which says a lot about the kind of environment they create. We also really appreciate the effort the school puts into activities and celebrations. Even though our son attends part time, they still make sure he feels included. For example, they save goodies for him so he does not miss out. That kind of thoughtfulness really stands out. Overall, it has been a great experience. The teachers, management, and overall environment have been wonderful. I would definitely recommend Genius Kids to any parent considering a preschool or daycare for their child.

It's reassuring to know that our child is in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment. The preschool offers a great variety of activities along with plenty of playtime, creating an environment where kids can learn, explore, and develop new skills while having fun. The balance between learning and play makes the experience enjoyable for the children. A special mention to the owners, Ms. Renuka and Ms. Shraddha, who are incredibly accommodating and genuinely invested in the children's growth and development. They are approachable, supportive, and truly care about each child's well-being. We're very happy with our experience and would highly recommend this preschool to other parents looking for a caring, engaging, and nurturing place for their little ones!

We took our 2 years old son with us on the visit as we wanted to include him in the process and help make the transition to school smoother for him. The school is part of a church but the preschool curriculum does not appear to be focus on religion. We started with a p/t schedule for about 1.5 months then transition him to f/t. I would say it took him about 2 months to fully transition. However, I did not have any worries as Ms. Jenny and the other teachers/paraprofessionals are very kind, friendly, supportive and knowledgeable of child development. I like that they did not pressure my son with potty training him but encourages him daily to use the toilet. They understand that every child's development is different and that my son is ready when he is. He eventually sat on the toilet but did not do his business and everything clicked when he turned 3 as he is now potty trained. :) Now that my son is used to preschool, he is excited to go to school every day and happy to share with me his classwork/artwork whenever I pick him up. He leaves the school smiling and saying bye to all his friends and teachers. Further, he is always singing songs and talking about things he has learn from school. I am so glad that he is having such a positive experience here and I know that he will definitely be ready for Kindergarten when the time comes. (+) Accepts children 2+ years Potty Trains (no extra $ to tuition) Affordable Tuition (given it being in the Evergreen area) Flexible P/T & F/T schedule Playground on site and is fenced up Diverse staff Diverse group of students Lots of Activity and Holiday crafts Weekly classwork (sent home at end of week) Daily Drop off/Pick Up log for parents to sign (-) This did not affect my 5-stars rating but I feel it is a concern even though the teacher has eyes on the children all the time. The door to the preschool can be easily opened from inside as it is has a push bar. Any child can open it and of course, any one can come in. I think it should be locked and a doorbell should be installed or some other steps to take to prevent a child bolting out or a stranger coming in. Does not hurt to be too safe.

They are amazing educators, and we couldn't speak more highly of them. My son recently completed the kindergarten program here and I want to speak about our experience while it's fresh in my mind. We have been so extremely happy by the academic growth he achieved this year. He is now reading confidently, working at a level ahead in math, and writing complete paragraphs. We appreciate the structured curriculum and thoughtful lesson plans that challenged him and helped him build a strong academic foundation. Thank you to his teachers and the supporting staff for their role, we can't recommend this program enough. Please consider scholars if you have any tk/kinder aged children.

It was the right decision, because we have seen her grow so much from her time at scholars. The teachers really pour their heart into nurturing and caring for the kids. She comes home with amazing art work, work sheets and tells us about all the new things she learns every week. They organize a lot of events where parents get a chance to connect with teachers and other parents. The annual spring and winter concerts are very well organized and it's rewarding to see the community come together. Overall it's been a very fulfilling experience and we're glad we found scholars ! They encourage outdoor playtime and also hone kids' personal preferences as well. Their reports are also very detailed and specific for each kid. They have also started meal service which is a huge relief for busy parents. I cannot wait to send my younger daughter to scholars once she's ready.

Before coming here, we went through a prior preschools that suffered from high teacher turnover. Finding Lighthouse was a breath of fresh air. All of the staff here are absolutely great, and that consistency made a world of difference for our daughter. It is a clear reflection of the excellent leadership at this school. Teresa and the team provide a nurturing environment and showed incredible patience with our daughter, especially when she was difficult during morning drop-offs. Their kindness gave us immense peace of mind. If you are looking for a preschool in San Jose with a stable, compassionate teaching team and fantastic leadership, we cannot recommend Lighthouse Montessori enough!

While we are very grateful for my mother's help, we noticed our daughter was having too much screen time. That's when we decided to enroll her in preschool so she could socialize with other children and adults. She currently attends three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). I was very apprehensive at first. My daughter cried a lot in the beginning, and leaving her each morning filled me with guilt. I found myself constantly second-guessing our decision--were we starting too early? Should we wait another year? During the school orientation, we heard from other parents whose children had similar struggles adjusting at first, but eventually settled into their new routine within about a month. I was still skeptical. There were days when I wanted to quit, but we pushed through those first four weeks--and I'm so glad we did. Eventually, my daughter stopped crying during the drive to school and at drop-off. I can confidently say that the love and care from her four teachers made all the difference in her transition. Ms. Sasmita, Ms. Anitha, Ms. Van, and Ms. Kathy are incredibly patient, kind, and nurturing. They truly care for my daughter as if she were their own. One example that stands out is how they handle her comfort items--her milk bottle and her blanket. Instead of forcing her to give them up, they gently encourage her and thoughtfully support her transition during school time. To me, this is going above and beyond. I worked in childcare for six years at a well-known nonprofit organization, starting as a teacher's aide, then becoming a teacher, and eventually a center director. Because of this, I feel I have a strong basis for comparison--and I can say that the Montessori approach here is truly exceptional. What I appreciate most are the practical life skills being taught. My daughter comes home excited to show us how she can match socks, fold clothes, and even sweep with a dustpan. She has always been independent (she's an Aries, after all!), but I've noticed that now she actively wants to participate in everyday tasks because she's practicing what she learns at school. I could share so much more, but I truly have nothing but positive feedback for this school. I hope that sharing our experience brings comfort to new and prospective parents. Best of luck!

As noted in my original account, I waited outside the facility until approximately 4:15 p.m. and remained in my vehicle near the front entrance until about 4:20 p.m. to see whether a staff member would open the door. No one did. I also did not receive any missed calls or courtesy voicemails indicating that staff attempted to contact me. Please do not misrepresent the circumstances or suggest that VOM made efforts to resolve the situation when there is no record of those attempts. +++++ Service Requested I scheduled a tour of the facility to consider for preschool enrollment on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. When I arrived, the door was locked. I rang the doorbell twice and received no response. I then proceeded and called the phone number posted on the front door, 408-539-1222. The employee asked which location I was visiting, and I confirmed the San Felipe location. I was told they would contact someone to open the door. After waiting an additional 10 minutes, I knocked on the door again and still received no response. Quality The lack of communication and assistance made this a very disappointing experience, especially for a scheduled school tour. Value Based on today's experience and the level of inadequate customer service provided, I will not be considering this school for school enrollment.

At the time, we couldn't even decide if we wanted STEAM, STEM, Montessori, Language Immersion, etc. We combed through a bunch of Daycare Centers under the Wonderschool program for a while before discovering Little Ducklings Preschool. There's a welcoming aura to that place. If not for anything, you will definitely see the genuine care (I want to say love but let's leave it at care) that they have for the kids. This was the highlight for us because as parents, the last thing we wanted was to put our kids under some care, pay for such care, and still worry while away. They're not just care providers, they step into the role of assistant parent (s). This was the catch for us. In addition, the kids learn - they embark on science projects, learn social skills, learn empathy and intuition, sing, dance and play. They open at 7am, close at 6pm. They're very flexible but please don't overdo. You will have to pack your kid's food but once in a while, they provide food, water and clothing. You should let them know if you plan to keep your kids away from items like Pizza, juice and cake that they have on special occasions, like birthdays. We really like this daycare.
