Finding a daycare you genuinely trust is so hard, but choosing Mama Bear Academy has been the absolute best decision for our family. My daughter started back in July 2024, and the growth we've seen in her over time is unbelievable. She has hit so many huge milestones here--making her very first friends, learning how to ride a tricycle, and Tram even helped get her fully potty trained, which was such a massive weight off our shoulders! It really feels like dropping your child off with family every morning. She went from being pretty shy and not speaking to so confident, happy, and a total chatterbox. Tram puts her whole heart into these kids and truly values making special childhood memories for them. Her holiday celebrations are incredible--for Halloween and Easter, she hires a face painter/balloon artist and takes the cutest themed photos of the kids. My daughter can't stop talking about it for weeks after each time. We deeply value the love, safety, and care Tram and her family have provided our daughter. If you want a place where your child will be cherished and truly thrive, I can't recommend Mama Bear Academy enough!! read more

There's literally no words to describe our experience with Tram and the daycare! Ellie attended Mama Bear Academy when she was 2-4 years old. I recognize that during this time, it's really important to find a place where Ellie is safe and well taken care of, and I'm so happy that we found Mama Bear Academy. Tram really made sure each child was celebrated on their birthdays and to learn each and every holiday. She also had holiday parties where parents were invited to join! Ellie has made so many friends and has learned so much from Tram since being there that transitioning to TK has been seamless. Not only did Ellie learn to speak English, she also learned to speak Vietnamese! It's very rare to come by such a gem of a place, especially to trust a place to take care of your child. You can tell how much the kids love Tram and everyone else that took care of them. Thanks Tram for taking care of Ellie! She has grown so much since attending! read more

My daughter attended Mama Bear Academy from the ages of 3-4, and she loved it! Tram and Staff are attentive to the children and provide structured care while allowing the kids to explore, interact and grow. Meals are provided throughout the day, and they follow food groups. All concerns regarding allergies are respected. Definitely inquire with Tram, and she provides a detailed packet and orientation. Overall, I loved the experience I had due to the easiness and trust I was able to build with Tram and Staff. Olive was taken care of and also progressing well in her social development. Organization of Mama Bear Academy reassures you that your child will be in good hands. Pictures are sent in the beginning few weeks and then upon request. Holidays are celebrated to provide a sense of unity and fun for the children. Potty training was another journey that we prospered through! I would recommend Mama Bear Academy to anyone who is looking for professional, friendly and experienced child care. read more

We've been sending our son to Tram for about a year come this June and we couldn't be happier with her services. Finding quality, reliable, and most importantly trustworthy childcare is close to impossible! I can't rave enough about Tram, she's our family's Mrs. Rachel where I feel like we have to protect and remind her how valued she is towards us. She has taught our son so much from communal dining, community safety ( he understands to stop when a fist is made and he's told to stop, which is so incredible when a child is running off at a park), singing, and just playing without the distraction of tablets and tv. He's so incredibly happy here and I'm at work at peace knowing he's loved, well taken care of, and given attention as if he's the only kiddo at her daycare. That's truly how Tram makes us feel at pickup, even though we know there's so many other kiddos there. Thank you Mama Bear for existing and being wonderful! read more

I didn't cry dropping my daughter off the first day, but I was bawling as I drove away on her last. This daycare has been a gift to us all and was worth the wait to get in. I had no worries that my daughter would be taken good care of when I drop her off. Huge plus that they also provide meals and snacks, and she eats everything they give her! Tram and her family always put the kids first and it shows: from birthday celebrations and holiday parties, to getting each kid a gift for Christmas, to always looking to upgrade the daycare whenever she can. Mama Bear Academy was a huge part of my daughter's formative years and we will never forget them. Thank you Tram!! read more

Ms Tram's daycare is the best one so far that my son attended to. It felt like a family to him. He loved to go to his daycare and played with other kids. Ms Tram also arranged special activities on holidays. I really appreciated her work and care for my son. It was sad that he had to leave her daycare due to our family's moving out of state. I will definitely recommend her daycare. You will be so lucky to send your kids here read more

Don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review but here I am! I have been sending our two boys here, now ages 2 and 4 at the writing of this review, since 2018. Tram, the owner, is amazingly kind, gentle, and communicative. She is very patient with all the kids and possibly even more importantly, parents. Seeing her traverse the enormous stress of the pandemic has made me appreciate how amazing she is as her heart is always in the right place. She always puts the kids first and her facilities are top notch. She has a huge backyard with a large play area, she has defined spaces for play, reading, etc. She has a few employees that help her and they have all been very nice. She is very responsive via text and phone. My older toddler has been learning a lot of letters/phonics/etc from her packet/worksheet work with the kids. Not sure what else to say other than I trust my children with her every day during the work week and she gives us that piece of mind which is totally priceless. read more

I highly recommend Mama Bear Academy! My daughter has enjoyed being there, it's like her 2nd home. Tram and the grandmas really care for the children. They make nutritious meals and they have a huge backyard with toys to play with. My daughter is a picky eater at home, but will eat everything made at daycare. Tram also plans such amazing holiday celebrations for the kids. My daughter kept talking about the Easter egg hunt the daycare had for probably a month after. I love how Tram incorporates educational learning with activities like circle time and a few worksheets to help children learn the basics like numbers and abc's. Most of all they can just be kids, there's no pressure for them to complete a checklist of milestones to "graduate". I'm a firm believer that children will learn on their own pace. I know when I was searching for daycares many only had waitlists, so if you can get on Tram's waitlist or if a spot is available it's worth it. You will have peace of mind that your child is well cared for. read more

Ms. Tram and her staff are all wonderful. My son was there for about 5 years and learned so much from her. The daycare was practically his second home, the curriculum was great my son didn't have to go to preschool and was well prepared for Kindergarten. His teacher was amazed how great he was doing. She treated my son as one of her kids and I will be forever grateful for her. I definitely recommend her and her staff. read more

Tram is an awesome caregiver and unlike other care centers, it didn't take long for our son to get used to it here and stop crying during drop off. read more

I'm going to cry writing this! Tram and her wonderful staff helped raise my daughter for 4 years. It takes a village, and there's no way I could have done it without her. As working parents, it's hard to find someone we can trust with the lives and livelihoods of our children. I'm eternally grateful I found her on Yelp all those years ago. Tram provides a safe and loving environment for children to grow and thrive, and at the end of the day, that's worth its weight in gold. Especially during the times of uncertainty and distance learning, she kept some of the older kids, including my daughter, and managed their zoom schedules and helped with homework. She is truly made for this role, and I recommend her home daycare with my highest regard. She will love your kids like her own and prepare them for life of further education and happiness. I can never thank you enough Tram and grandmas! read more

I thank my lucky stars to have my son at Mama Bear Academy. Tram and staff are naturals when it comes to care for babies/toddlers/kids. I feel utterly safe knowing my child is under their care. There's structure, routine, curriculum, lesson plans, healthy food, and the backyard is a dream for kids! She even helps with potty training which is a huge plus. My son comes home with "papers" that he's done throughout the day which could be coloring of the letter of the day or an art project he did as examples. At almost 3 years old and a couple months here, he's already learned so much and as a result, his vocabulary has expanded! I have no doubt he will keep progressing and will be ready for school with his days spent here. Thank you Tram!!! read more

I couldn't be happier to review Mama Bear Academy! Mrs. Tram has the best interests in her mind when to comes caregiving and preparing little ones for their future. Our child started with Mrs. Tram when he was 11 months old and now almost 4, he demonstrates almost all his pre-requisites to Kindergarten. My child had tons of practice for school basics, and the art work he came back home with always looked like he had fun. Aside that, he is able to articulate his thoughts, make successful peer relationships, and problem solve. Mrs. Tram can seamlessly shift gears from a loving caregiver to a motivating teacher. Through the years, Mrs. Tram's experience and engagement led me to develop a deep sense of trust as she was able to gauge my child's needs and support accordingly. Being a full-time working parent, that feeling is priceless. The facility is clean, spacious with a large backyard, and has dedicated spaces for reading, resting and playtime. Mrs. Tram is flexible, understanding and most importantly patient not only with children but also parents. She is easily responsive over texts, call and/or emails. We are lucky to have found Mama Bear Academy and recommend to anyone looking for child care. read more

Our children's (all 3) best memories were made at Mama Bear Academy. Look no further, you have found home!

By choosing Mama Bear Academy, you are making a choice that's best for your child. As an educator myself for nine years, I wanted to find something for our daughter that not only provided her a chance to learn social skills, but also give her some engaging learning opportunities too. Let me explain a bit about what I love the most about Mama Bear and why we chose this daycare for our family. Ms. Tram and her staff use real life situations to teach students, such as table manners at the meal table: how to use "please" and "thank you," how to ask for second helpings, use a napkin, eat over your plate, etc. When I hear my daughter interact with close friends outside of daycare, she's one of the only 2 year olds saying "excuse me" when she wants to pass by someone. This is a hard skill to just teach at home. Ms. Tram's facility is clean, well cared for, and provides an engaging environment for your child. You have the family feeling of home, as it is a home daycare facility, but at the same time she handles it professionally. I have walked into several of these in home daycares and the provider puts up 1 or 2 posters that have the ABC's and calls it a daycare. This is not going to get your child ready for kindergarten. Ms. Tram does circle time with songs, stories, review of letters to provide an introduction to phonemic awareness, and plenty of chances for children to make choices of what they'd like to engage in next. Meals are all homemade and nutritious. I have Ms. Tram to thank for my kiddo not being a picky eater- she comes home and asks for those green leafy veggies and various ethnic foods because of Mama Bear. She also knows moderation and provides treats from time to time (with parents' Ok of course.) Birthday celebrations are not just about 1 goodie, but a pizza party with decor as well. Ms. Tram's backyard is amazing- it's where I want to play too! She has a play structure that's both safe and accommodates various age groups. A bicycle track where kiddos can ride their play cars or tricycles. As well as plenty of bark so less scraped knees happen. If you want a place where your child is 100% nurtured, learning, and a place you don't have to worry when you go off to work each morning, then Mama Bear Academy is the place for you and your kiddo. read more

Both my children now aged 2 and a half and 13 months have been going to Mama Bear Academy since a year now. Tram and the grandmas have been so loving and kind towards my children. Like all mothers, I was looking for someone I can trust with my kids and I am so lucky and blessed to have found Tram. My kids are excited to go to Mama Bear Academy every morning and my older one comes back with crafts and activities she does there. My older child started speaking more fluently after joining Tram. She even says Thank You & sorry which was so pleasing to hear. Thank You for all you do Tram for the kids. read more

My daughter been going to Mama Bear for almost 2 years, and Mrs. Tram and Grandmas took great care of her. Every day my daughter would bring home art works and show off to my wife and I what Mrs. Tram has taught her in school. Beside from being a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Tram has helped quite a lot when I have questions about how to deal with certain "Behaviors" that my daughter has at certain time. Being a first time parents, I found this to be extremely useful. Everything is very straight forward, Mrs. Tram have menu of food for the whole weeks for the kids, always have fun activities in door and outdoor. My daughter is very attach to one of the Grandma, and she love to come to school just to see her. This place is a great place for busy parents that need help with taking care of their child when they go to work. read more

Where do I start? First, Id like to give a big THANK YOU to Tram and her staff for their professionalism, the love and care they provided to my son and for providing an educational and fun curriculum as well. I was in need of a loving and nurturing daycare to place my son in back in May. Tram responded immediately, we took a tour of the very clean and well equipped home daycare, got acquainted and by the following week, my son was officially part of the academy :-) Although it was a rough start for my one year old (separation anxiety), Tram and her staff were very welcoming and understanding of the situation. Everyday was a challenge for my husband and I to drop him off. Tram always assured both him and I and our son that everything will be ok. And it always was. She was very patient and even gave us tips on how to make it easier for our son. Those I appreciated a lot. To be able to work with each other for the best interest of my son. Kudos on that! My son was always happy when I picked him up. She always made sure he ate his supper, rewarded with a snack and had a clean diaper on before he went home. And I always loved how happy of a little guy he was when we got home. Full tummy + fun day = a peaceful evening for mommy and daddy :-) I can go on and on about Tram and Mama Bear Academy. I just love and trust them so much :-) I'd like to add that due to a recent layoff with my job, we had to make the tough decision to pull our son out until I return to work. BUT! We look forward to coming back soon. I highly recommend Mama Bear Academy. Please consider them if you want an honest, trustworthy, clean, and fun atmosphere for your child. Thank you again Tram! We miss you all. See you soon! read more

My son has been going to Mama Bear for over a year now and he loves it. I was really impressed with the set-up; everything is very neat, clean and organized. It also helps that she has extended hours til 6 pm when I'm just getting off work. Tram also helps with potty training which was a big plus for us when we first enrolled. She is patient and very sweet and I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for child care. read more

My children are always in good hands when i leave them here, i go about my day worry free knowing that they are being well taken care of, my children are always kept clean, and that is what i love the most about them. My children are always happy here, and always walk right in with no problems, my son doesn't complain at all, he's always talking about his little buddy named Quentin! I couldn't see my kids any where else i am beyond satisfied with their services, thank very much Tram. -Always Revae C. read more

It is so hard to find a great, trustworthy and quality daycare like Mama Bear Academy. Tram and Grandmas are so caring, loving and patient with my little boy. Mama Bear Academy is a very kid friendly, clean and well organized environment. I love their large playground in the backyard and all the various activities they have for the kids indoors. My little boy is always so happy and excited to go there in the mornings and it makes it easier for me to leave him knowing he is in great hands. I don't know how Tram does it all, but she does it all very gracefully! I can't thank Tram & Grandmas enough for taking such good care of my little boy!!! read more

The best daycare in the Bay Area. I am so pleased to have been blessed to find a day care as wonderful as Mama Bear academy. Tram and her wonderful assistants take such good care of our son and the other children that attend. Not only does she care for them but she also is preparing them for kindergarten. The daily learning activities she teaches them are great we love seeing his projects he does on a daily basis. My husband and I couldn't be more happy and we don't have enough words to express our gratitude for Mrs Tram. She's just perfect. So if your looking for the best daycare to care for your child this would be the one. I would give her 10 stars. Thank you Mrs Tram and your staff for all that you do. read more

The moment I stepped into Mama Bear Daycare I knew that my baby would be happy. Tram and her staff are very friendly and professional. To begin with Mamma Bear Academy doesn't really need to be reviewed to know that is a great place for kids. My Dayanna started going with Tram 2015 all this time she was very well taken care by her and the grandma's. Her routines did good with my preschooler at the beginning now she is kindergartener. I loved how her would prefer going to daycare rather than stay home. Tram is very responsible; She was picking up my daughter from school which gave me a peace of mind so i can be relaxed ar work without worrying for my little one. If i could i would give 100 stars. read more

I highly recommend this day care. My oldest has been going here for over 3 years and despite moving to the other side of town, I still drive out of my way to bring her and my newest 6 month old to Tram because I know I can trust her and that she takes great care of my children. Her backyard is amazing, huge with a play ground, baby swings, and a large path for bike riding. The kids get to play outside a lot, which Is great for them. I would consider this more of a preschool than a daycare. Tram spends a lot of time on education and my daughter is very well prepared for Kindergarten thanks to Tram. She is kind, and patient with the kids but also expects good behavior and works on manners as well. She also provides 3 meals a day and has been great at getting my picky eater to add more fruits and veggies to her list of foods she will eat. Bottom line, I would highly recommend Tram if you are looking for someone to care for your children. You can go to work and feel good knowing your kids are safe and cared for. read more

I enrolled my son at Mama Bear Academy about 2 to 3 years ago and prior to hiring her as my son's caregiver, I had toured other places and never felt as comfortable as I was when I toured Tram's home. She has security cameras evwrywhere!! The way Tram runs her daycare/preschool shows how much she loves and cares about each and every child that is enrolled into her program. Her home is tailored to the children from baby gates to a full backyard as a playground. She provides meals and snacks for the kids and also hosts birthday parties for each child and also is kind enough to buy gifts for them during Christmas time. Everything is organized here and nothing is ever a mess! Her number one rule is no TV for the kids, everything is educational and fun which I loved. Unfortunately my son is 5 now and doesn't need her care anymore but I definitely would recommend Mama Bear Academy to anyone looking for a affordable daycare that has people who actually cares about your kids and their future. read more

My son Logan has been going to Mama Bear Academy since he was 3 months. Tram and her staff are very friendly and easy to work with. She is understanding of the working parent and takes the time to talk to you about your child and how they are doing. We would have kept him here until he was school ready but we had to move out of the state for a job transfer. We will definitely miss this place. read more
