We were referred here by a friend as his son was attending the school. We contact Ms. Jenny for a visit and she gladly scheduled it with me. We took our 2 years old son with us on the visit as we wanted to include him in the process and help make the transition to school smoother for him. The school is part of a church but the preschool curriculum does not appear to be focus on religion. We started with a p/t schedule for about 1.5 months then transition him to f/t. I would say it took him about 2 months to fully transition. However, I did not have any worries as Ms. Jenny and the other teachers/paraprofessionals are very kind, friendly, supportive and knowledgeable of child development. I like that they did not pressure my son with potty training him but encourages him daily to use the toilet. They understand that every child's development is different and that my son is ready when he is. He eventually sat on the toilet but did not do his business and everything clicked when he turned 3 as he is now potty trained. :) Now that my son is used to preschool, he is excited to go to school every day and happy to share with me his classwork/artwork whenever I pick him up. He leaves the school smiling and saying bye to all his friends and teachers. Further, he is always singing songs and talking about things he has learn from school. I am so glad that he is having such a positive experience here and I know that he will definitely be ready for Kindergarten when the time comes. The door to the preschool can be easily opened from inside as it is has a push bar. Any child can open it and of course, any one can come in. I think it should be locked and a doorbell should be installed or some other steps to take to prevent a child bolting out or a stranger coming in. Does not hurt to be too safe. read more

The teachers are nice and cordial, and I have no complaints about the facilities. What caused me to end up removing my four year old daughter from this preschool is that fact that they don't check for fever before admitting the toddlers into the classroom nor do they enforce the mask rule for the toddlers inside of the classroom. The teachers do wear masks but most of the toddlers do not. After attending ABC Evergreen Preschool for 3 days, my daughter developed Bronchitis which later progressed into Pneumonia 2 days later. The pediatrician tested her twice for Covid and she was negative both times. My daughter told me that some of the other toddlers coughed on her in class. Perhaps this was just coincidence, but in this day of rapidly infectious diseases like Covid, I decided not to take any more chances with this preschool. read more

My daughter and niece both began here in August 2016 to August 2017. The director Ms. Jenny was very nice and informative when I initially made my appointment. The school is perfectly located within my community and decided that this was my best option for my child after touring in the area. The school is organized, clean, and has a great caring staff. Initially it was difficult to transition the girls to a new environment (they cried at drop off) but they were always welcomed and consoled so that us parents can get on with our day. The teachers made that transition easy on us and I thank them. As time passed I realized how the girls social and learning skills began to improve. From alphabet, numbers, reading, some math and of course arts and crafts. My niece who is quite timid began to come out more, speak up and really grow in this social environment. The school has wonderful birthday celebrations for the kids and really goes out of their way to make them feel so special, with every table decorated and balloons everywhere. I was quite surprised when I brought some food and dessert in to celebrate to find everything so well decorated. They have functions through out the year, like a Halloween parade, a holiday concert, and end of the school year ceremonies. Ms. Jenny would text me pictures of my daughter if I missed an event. As a working mom, I was so grateful to receive those. The staff is communicative and easy to work with. If I needed anything for any reason Ms. Jenny was always available. When I forgot my child's lunch, they took care of it and told me not to worry. When my father fell unexpectedly ill and I had to adjust my schedule they worked with me. I don't know what I would've have done without their support. Thank you to all of the staff for making my daughters preschool experience so wonderful! You guys are a great, caring team and it shows through our children. If you are looking for a: - Educational - Clean - Fun - Caring - Nurturing - Social environment for your child, then I recommend ABC Preschool. My child misses ABC Preschool so much and we have gone back to visit at least once at her request. She ran and hugged the teachers as soon as she saw them. She was a bit teary eyed. It warms my hear to see how well my child was cared for while I was away at work. I cannot thank you all enough. I cannot express enough how thankful I am to have found ABC Evergreen Preschool. FORGOT to mention, Lionheart Fitness comes onsite to teach a variety of sports. Soccer, basketball, baseball etc. You can sign you child up for 6 weeks (there is a fee) and Coach Zach and team will come out, teach and engage your child. We love this preschool. Ms.Jenny, school director, is polite, informative and flexible. The teachers are professional, kind and have many years of service. My son learnt to write, sing songs and loved going to school. School fees are very reasonable and the school takes a lot of interest in learning. They also host Christmas concerts, Halloween parades, grad parties etc. I would recommend this school to all. My daughter went here for about 7 months before transferring to Headstart. We loved it here. Every time I picked her up, the staff always updated me on what kind of things she did for the day and what she had for lunch. Miss Jenny was always so kind and helpful with any questions and concerns I had. So when her last day came, it was bittersweet and It was especially difficult to tell my girl, she won't be seeing her friends and teachers anymore. The first several months at Headstart, she was always sad. She constantly asked when she can go back to her old school because she missed her old friends and old teachers. So as soon as Headstart ended, I contacted miss Jenny and asked if my girl can come back for the summer before kindergarten starts and she agreed! Now she's back doing full days and she is so happy. Everyday she wakes up and asks if she's going to school and even on weekends she would ask if she can go to school lol. We are so happy with this school, I would recommend to everyone I know. After touring 3 schools to enroll our two little ones. One school nearby ABC wanted my left kidney for the for one and if I wanted to enroll the 2nd, they'd take one arm for it. But worse of all, I did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling about some of those preschool cause it felt over populated. Our first tour of ABC, all the teachers made us feel extremely welcome. Although the location is strange but I don't think 2-3 years old cares. Now that my children has been here for a year, I can say that all the teachers genuinely enjoy what they're doing and actually cares for the kids here. Lesson learned: 1. Before you commit to this school for your child, confirm which room/ building your child will be in. Reason why- the main church is not really a suitable kid friendly set up for any toddlers or young children. Bathroom stall and sink is high and could pose a potential fall hazard. Even so it maybe un sanitary and hard for the child to easily wash their hands. The school doesn't disclose this during tour. This set up really doesn't teach our kids to learn the right way of washing hands and being independent safety. 2. The tuition seems reasonable and makes you think the hot meal is included - it's not. Make sure you confirm and ask about the additional price. 3. The staff not all, seems old school strict like they would discipline your child in that old fashion way with a ruler to scare them. I witnessed a staff snidely do that to one of the other kids and it made me worry for the what if mine... 4. Way too many kids unaccounted for and or staff Shift changes that it becomes impersonal and they have no clue how your child's day went. For example, my friend's son got bitten by one of the kids and when asked the staff they had no clue and said they weren't on duty during the time. 5. The neighbor adjacent to the back field near the playground has 2 or 3 huge scary dogs barking against a weak fence that could break at any minute. Consider possible kids and dog bite mishap if the fence breaks or blows down. read more

From 1 to 5, I'll rate this school to 10-star! When my child just started going to school here, she was at her terrible toddler behavior (tantrums, not so friendly, not so fan of school). Within just few months, oh the difference! Thank you teachers for the patience and nurture especially to Ms. Keiu! My child improved her reading, learned her writing, discovered her art talent, the songs she learned, friends she made. The smile every time I drop her off to school and the energy when I pick her up, just tells you a lot. She is super happy in this school. She even misses her teacher sometimes on a weekend:) Now she just graduated from Pre-K. Thank you Ms. Jenny for their graduation gowns and caps, they looked so adorable at their graduation! We discovered ABC school by chance driving by one day. We met with the school founder and director Ms. Jenny who gave us the tour of the facility. Our ABC impression of the facility: A=Air conditioned, B=Bright, C=Clean. We also spoke with all the teachers and they are very nice. We enrolled our 2 year old daughter. It has been a year now, and she speaks English well. There is much improvement in her reading as well as counting. As important, there are many kids her age so it is a good environment for her to have friends and learn social skills. On major holidays, the school has lunch parties and special craft projects for the kids. Our daughter came home with bunny ears and egg basket this past Easter! Drop-off (8:00 AM) and pick-up time (6 PM) works well with our work schedule. Our daughter enjoys going to school and she likes the teachers. read more

My son was enrolled into ABC Evergreen Pre-school for less than a year and I honestly do not know where all these positive reviews are coming from (Maybe old teachers that are no longer there?). My previous nanny became ill and was unable to care for my son so I scrambled around looking for a day care last minute and it so happens that ABC was the only affordable/option available. The location was great and the teachers seem nice. Keep in mind my son was about 16 months old. - Teacher/Student ratio for the 3-5 year old class is ok, often times you'll see 2-3 teachers but in the toddler classroom the ratio is very slim. There is about 20-30 toddlers ranging from 12months - 3 year olds with only 2-3 teachers interchanging in between. Often times you'll see the teachers frantically trying to grab all the kids at once and it looks like a mess. I feel bad for them! They are seriously understaffed. - My son at the time had eczema and I would emphasize it to the teachers to please apply his lotion and ointments when needed and still I would come home and see him all scratched up with scabs. - Another thing I did not like is that when there's an injury involved regardless of a student biting, hitting, falling, or whatever the case may be I, the parent was never informed until I come home and see it. It is very frustrating to me that I have to be the one ALWAYS texting Ms. Jenny "Did you know this happened to ___." She would then reply "No I was not informed, I will get back to you once I investigate." OK first of all what kind of business are you running as a director? Second, YOU ARE THE DIRECTOR, your staff are suppose to report to you if there is any incident involved. Third, these children are in the hands of you and your staff!!!! - There is no organization - I would leave my son's favorite plush there for nap time and by the end of the weekend it went missing. - Teachers don't communicate well; when I would ask/look for something they would reply "I wasn't here earlier so I wouldn't know" - Communicating via text message or email was not quick nor efficient. I would have to wait another day to get a response from the "director" Ms. Jenny. - Whenever we went on family vacation/sick day not once did I get a call from anyone regarding the absence of my child. Until Ms. Celeste came along (Thank God for that woman!). I received a strange number on vacation and Ms. Celeste seem worried asking if my son was ok? I was so shocked to receive a phone call from Ms. Celeste and not the director. It did make me feel much more at ease knowing that at least ONE PERSON cared enough to call and check up on their students! Ever since then I have been in communication with Ms. Celeste then on.. She is the most loving and passionate teacher as well as Ms. Karina, and Ms. Trinh. With all the disappointments and frustration this "Pre-school" has caused me I am thankful for the sweet teachers (Ms. Marcy who no longer is there, Ms. Trinh, Ms. Celeste, and Ms. Kieu) for providing care for my son. The moral to this is YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. (I'm so glad i withdrew my son to another day care because at 3.5 years old he's able to WRITE his name, he enjoys going back to school, and meeting new friends.) read more

This s a best school for kid that I found in San Jose. My little one started here since 3 yrs old. The teachers are very nice and sweet. The school is clean and have few rooms for different classes. I enrolled my son in this school when it first open. At first I wasn't too sure of this school. I started noticing my son's attitude when he comes home from school. He talks about his new friends, what he learned in class, and how the teachers help him with questions and difficulties he has. Every morning he wakes up and is very eager to go to school. Woohoo!!! We were referred here by a friend. We enrolled our son when he was 2 and he thoroughly enjoys every day he spends there. In just 6 short months, he is already more communicative, and building up great social skills with all the other kids. And added bonus they potty-trained my little one!
