He showed me the additional issues that were not fixed by my simple replacement, and when I asked questions he offered to teach me how to do the larger replacement myself. He was patient and walked me through all of the steps including a thorough check. He showed me where there was still moisture after his initial install, walked me through his troubleshooting, made an adjustement, and ran another thorough check. The whole thing took about 30 minutes, and I am now confident I would be able to do more if not all of the replacement on my own. I am waiting until our actual appointment in 2 days to speak to a real person before I add any further stars to this review. ***UPDATED AFTER ESTIMATE VISIT*** I ultimately did not go with these guys because of their pricing, but the fellow who came to my house was incredibly nice and had been sent with a message from the main office to apologize profusely and provide the best service possible. This company really cares about their customers and their reputation. If I were just a little bit richer, I would be able to choose my service provider based on kindness and not just price alone. I own an older home with a lot of plumbing issues. There were several problems for which previous plumbers either did not have any answers or did quick and low-quality work just to get paid. This poor work eventually and expectedly led to the problem recurring and requiring more work. In a way, these recurring problems were a blessing in disguise because it led us to Tom and Legato Plumbing. Tom immediately fixed those problems with great care and skill. The problems have not recurred. The best part about it is that throughout the entire process, Tom was transparent about cost, and it quickly became apparent that Tom was not trying to gouge me. In fact, he was trying his best to find ways to save me money. I immediately felt an immense feeling of trust for Tom, not only as a plumber, but as a person. So, when my home required more plumbing work, I immediately called Tom and felt 100% comfortable having Tom enter my home and do work while nobody was home. Again, Tom went about his work with great skill, care and transparency. And again, he was honest with me and told me what needed work immediately and what could wait. He could have easily told me that everything needed to be done immediately (like a lot of plumbers do) and gotten more money from me. The technician was supposed to arrive at 2:30pm, but called around that time to tell me he'd be late and he wasn't sure what time he could get to my house. He was able to snake our drain clear pretty quickly, but when he left telling me everything was all set, he did not remove the clamps we'd put on the dishwasher vent when we tried to plunge the sink (this is really basic plumbing, the likes of remembering to turn off a running engine), which resulted in our kitchen flooding when we ran the dishwasher overnight. When we waded through our kitchen the next morning, we found the clamps still in place, as well as only hand-tight pipes, which we had to tighten with our own tools.
