Good quality sushi (we had the Samurai, Yam Tempura, and Salmon and Avocado rolls + nigiri). Plenty of seats, clean, and nice staff.

Samurai is good, but nothing special. Hard to go wrong with sushi but there is definitely better sushi in Whistler.

Great takeout sushi with some unique menu options. Great casual sushi. Lots of kid and combo option. Try the green bean gomae.

Sushi Village is a Whistler Village institution, having opened 40+ years ago (1985). So when we…read morewere in Whistler on a snow/ski/snowboarding trip with a group of friends, we definitely had to have dinner here. We were a LARGE group of 14 adults/teenagers. Fortunately for us, they have a tatami room that seats 14! Even more fortunately, it wasn't REALLY tatami seating -- low table with woven mats on the floor. Instead, it just looked like floor seating. The space under that table was recessed so you sit with your legs extended -- like sitting on a bench. The food was varied, with rolls and nigiri sushi, sashimi, udon, donburi, tempura, and more. There's definitely something for everyone. We ordered some of everything. And while everything was delicious, the standouts were the spider roll, super hiro roll, and crab claw tempura. Honorable mention goes to the strawberry sake margarita. The server handled our massive order of food and drinks expertly. Fun and casual atmosphere. Make sure to book a reservation as it is quite popular.

(Kari's Rating 7/10)…read more Came in with a group of eight around 5 PM, they said about an hour and a half wait ended up being about two by the time the other table wrapped up. Our server was very nice and relatively attentive as it was very busy. We ordered tons of apps, takoyaki, beef tempura, a few salads, 5 of the 10 piece chefs Nigiri, the miso cod, garlic beef, udon noodles and a few nigiri. We also got a bunch of hot sake, sake margaritas and a few Sapporo's. Overall a fun place, kinda expensive for what it is with the ocean being as close as it is and not very authentic, but the food was passable. Great for groups but you need to check in early or get a reservation.

Wild Blue absolutely delivered -- from the atmosphere to every single plate…read more We started with the Pemberton farmed beet salad, and it was such a beautiful balance of earthy and bright. The miso sesame dressing added depth without overpowering the beets, while the puffed grains gave it the perfect crunch. The nori, shiso, and hint of yuzu brought a subtle freshness that made the dish feel light yet layered. A stunning start. The cavatelli with fontina and 5g shaved black truffles was pure comfort but elevated. Rich, silky, and deeply savory, with the truffle aroma hitting you immediately. The focaccia and fresh herbs tied it all together -- indulgent without feeling heavy. The standout for me was the sablefish. Perfectly cooked -- buttery and flaky -- paired beautifully with turnip, radish, and maitake mushrooms. The roasted fish bone sauce was incredibly refined and packed with umami. Every bite felt intentional and balanced. And to finish, the sticky toffee pudding -- warm, decadent, and exactly what you want to end the night. Sweet, comforting, and unforgettable. Wild Blue blends refined technique with thoughtful ingredients. Definitely one of the highlights of dining in Whistler

It was a very disappointing experience. We haven't visited Whistler in years, I was looking forward…read moreto this trip because we had booked what I thought was the top rated restaurant there but boy was I ever wrong. Their geoduck and clam pasts tasted okay but the serving size was laughably small, 2 large bites to perhaps 4 small bites at best. The worst thing was the overcooked geoduck, they're basically large clams and anyone who's cooked and eaten clams will know that overcooked clams turn rubbery and the few bits of geoduck were as rubbery as a rubber duck. The same applies to their Roasted Ling Cod, unless you enjoy overcooked ling cod, avoid at all costs. Amongst our group we ordered 3 New Your Steaks, we ordered medium rare, to their credit they were all cooked a perfect medium rare. Trouble was they were all way over salted. Too much salt to make them enjoyable, frankly I've had much better steaks at Denny's. As part of their prix fixe menu they had smoked black cod which I normally enjoy. Here they mashed the black cod into a chip dip which they served with their house made potato chips, While the dip was okay as far as taste goes, the chips they served last week on Wednesday night were all stale, not yet rancid but definitely stale. If the manager is reading this, I suggest he take a few and taste them himself. Prices weren't out of line since this is a resort area and restaurant pretty much can count on a "captive" clientele. However value wise this place should not be anywhere near the top of your go-to list.

We notice more people started coming in after 6pm. The food took awhile but we didn't mind since we were able to enjoy each dish and it gave us time to decide what to order next. We ordered the real crab roll and spicy roll. Like others say, the rolls were small and there wasn't much fish. The roll was good but wish there was more fish. I recommend passing on the roll if you are looking to fill up unless you order a few rolls but the value isn't there. We also order the nigiri. This is worth the money. The fish are fresh and very savory. We ended up ordering seconds. We didn't know that they had blue fin until I tried to order my second set of nigiri and was told they ran out of one of the tuna that I was trying to order. Glad I was able to order the blue fin. My kids tried it for the first time and wanted to order more. Highly recommend the nigiri if you come here to eat. We ordered appetizers as well. My kids ate all the gyoza before I can try one so I guess it was good. We also got the tuna tataki. My kids and I enjoyed it especially with the red condiment. Not sure what it is. The other condiment that came with it tasted like ginger. My wife order the sake margarita and I had a little sip of her drink. The margarita was on point. It was fruity (strawberry flavor) but not too sweet and not sour either. You can taste the sake but not as much which is a good thing if you like a mix drink where it's perfectly blended. If we didn't have to catch our shuttle back, I would have ordered this after my beer. All and all, it was a good dining experience. The food does take some time to come but it's not too long. My only disappointment was how little fish were in the roll. Other than that, the food was good. We didn't try the hotpot since the cost was extremely high where they charge for per person instead of by order. Definitely give this place a try if you like nigiri and check if they have blue fin if you do try the nigiri.
