Sushi in BC never disappoints! The black cod sashimi is a must...firm, fatty and a bit crunchy! Omg! I wish we get these in the Midwest! Had one of the best saba! Blue fin tuna and local Uni are always yummy in BC! Great service and reasonable price !

We walked in with no reservations on a Friday evening and were seated immediately. Service was good. Food is definitely fresh and tasty. Sushi was delicious, beers were cold. Restaurant is cozy. Can't wait to come back in a few days as I explore Whistler.

Delicious sushi and very authentic experience. I got a place at the bar and it was great to watch the chef prepare my food.

We were super impressed at the quality, taste and consistency of the 6 rolls we got in the peak combo. Everything was fresh, good amount of filling without getting lost in too much rice and really nice flavors. Would definitely order again!

The online menu is the exact same link as the QR code in the restaurant takes you to on your phone. We would advise looking at it beforehand, because the formatting makes it really hard to read on a phone. As for vegetarian options, they're very well-marked on the menu, which is great! We had to ask if you can get sushi rolls wrapped in soy paper instead of seaweed, turns out they can do that for any roll! Some members of our party don't like seaweed, so this was good for us. However, they did forget to make the swap on one roll. As for vegan options, there was no indicator on the menu except the word "vegan" on one roll. When we asked our server about vegan options, they said "oh there's a whole vegan combo, it's on the menu." We were very confused, because we hadn't seen anything. Turns out it is online on their website, under their "takeout only" seasonal menu: https://nagomisushi.com/news/13689/ The dish: A vegan platter for only $18 (CAD) with a vegan roll, burdock salad, spinach goma-ae, miso gravy tofu, home-made pickled veggies, veggie sticks, and edamame with a vegan mayonnaise dip and regular home-made salsa dip. This was a TON of food, and a great deal for the price. However, it didn't blow me away. The best parts were the spinach goma-ae and miso gravy tofu. I didn't need the raw chopped vegetables or that much burdock. Most of it was quite bland, so I smeared the vegan mayo and salsa and wasabi over pretty much everything. I had also ordered the veggie-su sunomono salad, which is listed as a salad with yam noodles in sweet vinegar sauce. It was simply too vinegar-y for me or anyone in my family, but I'd never had the dish before so maybe that's what it's supposed to be. For me, it was sort of just a soup of pickled vegetables in vinegar. They do have a vegan mango sorbet for dessert, which was delicious. They unfortunately served real whipped cream with it, so if you're a very strict vegan make sure to ask for no whipped cream. Folks in my party who got non-veg sushi really enjoyed it, though they were disappointed in the dessert ice cream flavors that didn't taste like much to them (black sesame). Personally, I don't need to go back, but the non-vegan members of my party said they would.

Amazing and unassuming. We had a variety of rolls and kept on ordering more because it was so delicous. Seafood super fresh. The scallops were flown in from Japan, Everything was impecable. We also loved the tempura soft shell crab. So much so we ordered another one. Prices were really reasonable, especially because it is Whistler. I could go into what we ordered but everything was excellent so my advice it to go with whatever you love. You won't be disappointed. There isn't a bad dish there. Service was also excellent. This will be my to go to place to eat when I return.

Very cute restaurant with lots of sushi/roll options. We ordered a few things, lots of hits but a few misses also. My ratings for each are below: Chicken karage: 2 stars. Wasn't crispy at all, not a the place for a good karage! Also didn't come with a sauce to eat it with which I'm not used to. Vegetable tempura: 3.5 stars. Very small portion is my opinion. Hot sake: More like warm sake but not bad 3 stars. Beautiful roll: 4.5 also really good! Mango soy roll: 5! Loved it Spicy tuna roll: 4 Overall I think you should stick with only sushi/rolls here but wasn't pleased by the other options. Really awesome customer service!!

Wednesday 1930 Boyfriend and I traveled the perimeter of Upper Village as we didn't see the sign pointing us to the sushi place. We finally found it on the backside facing the streets. We also didn't have a reservation but we only had to wait 5 minutes to be seated. The restaurant is cozy and at a comfortable temperature. I grew up in Torrance, home of the 2nd largest population of Japanese folks in America, and grew up eating lots and lots of Japanese food. The food here had similar taste to what I was used to. - Fiery tuna roll. I was not a fan of the jalapeño salsa on the sushi. Deer liked it. - Soft shell crab kara age. Could have used a bit more seasoning on the crab and a bit less salt in the ponzu. Deer liked it. - Takoyaki. Tasty, Deer also liked this. + Plum soda. Delicious but gone within a few sips. + Nagomi favorite. Deer liked this, and my favorite was the eel. + Yuzu cheese tart. Good. Overall Nagomi sushi is a tasty place to eat at but nothing really popped up and blew us away in terms of taste. Boyfriend was bummed they didn't have asahi kuronama. If you are craving Japanese food though, this place is pretty solid.

Beautiful roll, crunchy tuna, mango soy rolls. YUM

Just want to preface this by saying I rarely review restaurants and this could be one of my first yelp reviews ever but this place is so worth the review. We had a waitress Sonya (I believe that was her name! From south Brisbane!!). She was so friendly and wonderful and gave us her recommendations. They did NOT disappoint!! We got the mango soy roll, crunchy tuna, and beautiful tempura roll. They were all amazing but especially the mango and beautiful rolls. It was by far the best bang for our buck in Whistler and the quality was insanely good. Sonya said they get fresh fish daily and the taste definitely reflects that. Couldn't recommend this place enough. In doubt??? Go here!!!!

So when we…read morewere in Whistler on a snow/ski/snowboarding trip with a group of friends, we definitely had to have dinner here. We were a LARGE group of 14 adults/teenagers. Fortunately for us, they have a tatami room that seats 14! Even more fortunately, it wasn't REALLY tatami seating -- low table with woven mats on the floor. Instead, it just looked like floor seating. The space under that table was recessed so you sit with your legs extended -- like sitting on a bench. The food was varied, with rolls and nigiri sushi, sashimi, udon, donburi, tempura, and more. There's definitely something for everyone. We ordered some of everything. And while everything was delicious, the standouts were the spider roll, super hiro roll, and crab claw tempura. Honorable mention goes to the strawberry sake margarita. The server handled our massive order of food and drinks expertly. Fun and casual atmosphere. Make sure to book a reservation as it is quite popular.

(Kari's Rating 7/10)…read more Came in with a group of eight around 5 PM, they said about an hour and a half wait ended up being about two by the time the other table wrapped up. Our server was very nice and relatively attentive as it was very busy. We ordered tons of apps, takoyaki, beef tempura, a few salads, 5 of the 10 piece chefs Nigiri, the miso cod, garlic beef, udon noodles and a few nigiri. We also got a bunch of hot sake, sake margaritas and a few Sapporo's. Overall a fun place, kinda expensive for what it is with the ocean being as close as it is and not very authentic, but the food was passable. Great for groups but you need to check in early or get a reservation.

We notice more people started coming in after 6pm. The food took awhile but we didn't mind since we were able to enjoy each dish and it gave us time to decide what to order next. We ordered the real crab roll and spicy roll. Like others say, the rolls were small and there wasn't much fish. The roll was good but wish there was more fish. I recommend passing on the roll if you are looking to fill up unless you order a few rolls but the value isn't there. We also order the nigiri. This is worth the money. The fish are fresh and very savory. We ended up ordering seconds. We didn't know that they had blue fin until I tried to order my second set of nigiri and was told they ran out of one of the tuna that I was trying to order. Glad I was able to order the blue fin. My kids tried it for the first time and wanted to order more. Highly recommend the nigiri if you come here to eat. We ordered appetizers as well. My kids ate all the gyoza before I can try one so I guess it was good. We also got the tuna tataki. My kids and I enjoyed it especially with the red condiment. Not sure what it is. The other condiment that came with it tasted like ginger. My wife order the sake margarita and I had a little sip of her drink. The margarita was on point. It was fruity (strawberry flavor) but not too sweet and not sour either. You can taste the sake but not as much which is a good thing if you like a mix drink where it's perfectly blended. If we didn't have to catch our shuttle back, I would have ordered this after my beer. All and all, it was a good dining experience. The food does take some time to come but it's not too long. My only disappointment was how little fish were in the roll. Other than that, the food was good. We didn't try the hotpot since the cost was extremely high where they charge for per person instead of by order. Definitely give this place a try if you like nigiri and check if they have blue fin if you do try the nigiri.

We were seated right away and our server came over and she was really nice. We checked out the menu and decided to try the tostadas. When our server came to take our order we asked about the size of the tostadas and she said they were like street size tortillas, maybe a bit bigger. It was our fault for not asking if they came with anything, we didn't and they didn't. Mr. B ordered the Ahi Tuna Tostadas and I chose the bean and pineapple tostadas. When the dishes came out, we were a bit surprised, the tostadas were sliding around on the large plates. Each dish was $16 and what we got was definitely not worth $16. The tuna tostadas were very good, had a nice spice to them. My bean and pineapple tostadas were delicious, spicy and very flavorful. So there was no complaints about the flavor of the food. But for the price I would expect a side of rice or something. This was more like an appetizer. For $32, and what we got, I wouldn't go back. There are some really great restaurants in Whistler, and in the Village that I would prefer to try or go back to.
