I was explicitly told there was availability, with the only requirement being a pre-op appointment. I completely understand this needed pre- appt. I drove in from Chicago at 5AM for that appointment, and was told my X-rays from 12 months prior were "too old." While frustrating, I understood and agreed to repeat imaging, paying $450 that day. After the exam, I was sent to reception to pay and "schedule surgery," only to then be told I would need yet another appointment before surgery could even be scheduled -- something that was never disclosed minutes earlier in the room. After explaining that I had already made a lengthy trip and that this was not what had been communicated to me, the staff briefly conferred and suddenly said they could perform the cone beam scan that same day for an additional $350. Wanting to avoid yet another trip and finally move forward, I agreed and paid on the spot. After completing the scan, I was once again sent to reception, where I was then told they actually could not accommodate surgery during the very week they had originally promised. At that point, I had paid roughly $800 for appointments day of and scans based entirely on their assurances, only to be told they could not deliver what had been guaranteed. I remained polite, rescheduled for my next available time off (cancelling my personal VACATION) in March, and clearly explained that this would be my only window until June. I also emphasized that I am in significant pain and that the delay was severely impacting my quality of life. The response was largely dismissive. I left defeated and disappointed, but understood that things happen. I received a call last week (Feb.9th from Allie) informing me that they could not perform my surgery at all because Dr. Kimmel would be "busy." It is baffling that I was scheduled in the first place if this was the case. At this point, I politely requested copies of my receipts, X-rays, and cone beam scan so I could seek care elsewhere. The tone immediately shifted, and I was met with impatience, dismissiveness, and clear irritation simply for asking for records I had paid for. When the emailed records did not include the $350 cone beam scan, I followed up and again encountered attitude questioning why I would need it despite the fact that I personally funded it. It was eventually mailed to me on a CD. This entire experience felt disorganized, misleading, and profoundly unprofessional. My family has spent tens of thousands of dollars here over the years as uninsured, cash-paying patients, which makes this level of disregard even more disappointing. It is clear to me the dismissive communication here demonstrates a serious lack of respect for patients' time, finances, and well-being. To say I am disappointed in the level of care and professionalism would be an understatement. This is not how you treat loyal, paying patients. I hope this is a "one-off" situation for this office because Dr. Kimmel himself was incredibly kind and thorough with explaining my surgery that I unfortunately, will not be having here.

After waiting an hour past our appointment time, he spent approximately 5 minutes (NOT kidding) with us. He came in the room, said "any headaches" (to which my son responded "yes"), with Dr. Reichert's response of "I'm not doing surgery because you don't need it." Didn't bring up his MRI results or discuss them, didn't talk about any of his structural abnormalities, didn't ask "how are you," didn't listen to any concerns, didn't ask if we had questions, kept tapping on the exam table - slouched and leaning back in the office chair - completely unprofessional, cocky, disrespectful, NO bedside manners, treated us like we didn't know anything (I myself have a medical degree as an NP), didn't even assess my son(!), opened the door, and walked us out of the room. I would NEVER recommend this provider to absolutely anyone. I have no idea who would rate him so highly, but I really hope that you look to other providers to have an understanding of what one would be like if they had their patient as the focus of attention, during an office visit that I am paying for, related to a pretty significant issue.

I thought it better to submit them prior to the app't so the Dr. might have a chance to review BEFORE my visit. How could he go through all that and the scans during the app't, which I expected to be 15-20 minutes? The doctor saw me within 10-15 minutes of my appointment time and spent over 45 minutes speaking (and listening) to me, doing a brief physical exam, and then reviewing, in detail, the CT scans of my cervical and lumbar regions. He didn't review the scan in advance. He spent the time to review them with me. I was not there to proceed with any particular action or surgery. I was there to CONSULT and strategize whether to take action now (I'm 67), or wait some years, maybe 10 or whatever, to live with my ongoing condition/s (I've had a discectomy and fusion already) and take action at some later date. Dr. King understood all that, and considering the complete Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) I have, he recommended we take a wait and see approach on the surgery. He did refer me to Dr. Doniparthi in the Pain Management clinic to again CONSULT the possibility of an injection or trigger point therapy. (I have seen her more than once before and had injections before). I did follow up with her the very next day and her assessment was basically the same - no assurance that any injection would help... might help, might not. So... wait and see as long as I could continue to function as is. I was very pleased that I was listened to, that a conservative approach was considered and taken, and will return to Dr. King, if and when, I deteriorate to needing some intervention.

Firefly Dentistry has NOT been in practice for "over thirty years". Dr. Barry Baumann, my former…read moredentist, was the owner of the practice before Firefly Dentistry bought the current office. I'm sad to say that Firefly Dentistry is not a worthy successor to Dr. Baumann's legacy. I had initial misgivings when I first visited Dr. Sandberg. However, I thought it might be due to seeing a new dentist after the fact that Dr. Baumann was my dentist for so very many years. Dr. Sandberg did a few fillings, two root canals, three crowns, and routine cleanings. I felt pain in two of the crowns with root canals and kept telling him this. He said that I couldn't feel pain, "those teeth have root canals". But the pain continued. I also began to notice he wasn't as attentive, in my opinion. He seemed disinterested. Just a gut feeling, but I've learned to pay attention to gut feelings. I also wondered at a remark of his, "I really want to get a crown on that one tooth!" Then, at my final visit, I was scheduled to see Dr. Sandberg. The hygienist came in and gave my teeth a very cursory cleaning. All the while, she was talking with a new dentist. Then, to my surprise, the new dentist did my exam. I asked why Dr. Sandberg didn't perform the exam and was told "He's busy." The hygienist and dentist talked all during the exam, speaking of "all the new tricks Dr. Sandberg's bringing in, zoom whitening" and other such things. When the COVID-19 pandemic came, I decided I wasn't going back. After I got vaccinated and the restrictions were loosening a bit, I found a dentist with better recommendations. I came to find out that the crowns with root canals that have been hurting me were infected, with bone loss. I had to have them treated by an endodontist. He doesn't *think* I'll need implants. Needless to say, I'm furious. I DO NOT recommend Firefly Dentistry. Stay away!

I became a patient of this clinic not by choice, but because my dentist of over 20 years sold her…read morepractice to them. At first, all was well, then after my last visit, my hygienist retired. I had a specific appointment set and throughout the years they never made a mistake until this time. My card listed one date and time and just before that date/time I received a text from them confirming my appointment for a week later. At 66 years of age I thought, maybe I was confused; but I wasn't. When I called and asked why they moved my appointment out one week, they said they didn't. They threw the hygienist under the bus and then told me they'd understand if I wanted to find a new dentist. At first I said, of course not, let's keep the appointment. But then after speaking to my wife about this, we realized they didn't actually want our business and didn't care if they lost it. My wife and I are both in the service industry and we were flabbergasted by this attitude. Importantly, the person with whom I had this conversation identified herself as the office manager! I'm sure her supervisor is very proud of her. I cannot recommend this practice. By the way, I'm truly an easy going guy, that's why I initially agreed to keep the appointment after she suggested I take my business somewhere else. This was a little hurtful.

I went to see if Molar 18 could be saved by a Root Canal but after taking the CBCT Scan ($200 out…read moreof pocket) and another bitewing PA X-Ray, Dr. Elizabeth Choybowski informed me that the tooth would not be a good candidate for a root canal. She began talking about TMJ which I have never had and made strong suggestions to see a specific TMJ specialist across the street. Actually, Dr. Chybowski should have suggested seeing an ENT (ears, noser and throat doctor) where they could make an accurate diagnosis and do the necessary accurate diagnostic tests and so forth. Also, TMJ is not covered by Medicare and most private employer sponsored health insurance. I appreciated the fact Dr. Chybowski was honest in telling me that my tooth would be better off being extracted which they do not handle. But I did want to speak with Dr. Choyboyski a bit further and she seemed very hurried and left. So I made my own appointment with an Oral Surgeon at Great Midwest Oral Surgery. I asked WI Endodontics-Mayfair to send the CBCT Scan as well as the PA Bitewing for that Molar to them. They did send the CBCT Scan but Greater Midwest Oral Surgery could not open the file and view the CBCT Scan. They also mentioned that they had three other patIents from WI Endodontic-Mayfair that CBCT Scans could not be opened/viewed. I called WI Endo back and told them that. All they could say was the Oral Surgeon's Office did not have the correct software to view this $200 CBCT Scan. No way was I going to pay another $200 for another CBCT at the Oral Surgeon's Office too. The Dr. Groeckermann, Oral Surgeon was kind enough to offer to do it for free given the circumstances. I did some research regarding this and found out in the State of WI, Endodontics are required to send the required software disc along with their CBCT Scan. WI Endodontic-Mayfair did not do this and attempted to place the blame on the Oral Surgeon's system. For the brief time actually speaking with Dr Chybowski and her insistence on TMJ referral, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend WI Endodontics-Mayfair nor Dr. Chybowski. It seems like the CBCT Scan is the money maker and referrals for TMJ aren't far behind. I also believe that Dr. Chybowski could see the amount of decay and placement within the Molar with the PA Bitewing....my own General Dentist could see this on her PA Bitewing of Molar 18. I just wanted to see if WI EndodonticsI could have done a root canal and saved the tooth, but it turned into another stressful, expensive nightmare for me.

At first, I went to his office to remove two teeth that were not able to be saved. Later, when I had an emergency, his office staff worked me into the schedule for an urgent situation. Dr. O's excellence in his methods are obvious if you've ever had an extraction elsewhere. I'm also thankful for all the preparation and explanation from his assistants, Erin and Maria. Their intuition that an older woman could be as nervous as a kid, helped calm me down by clarifying the steps of the process and post procedure care. Now that I've received my first implant, I'm also grateful for LaCal's skills in expediting the maze of insurance pre-authorization. Without her committed efforts, my implant process would have been delayed for another year.

The visit to this clinic was horrible. Doctor O was OK but his assistant was horrendous, some one who has no glimpse of empathy and care. Treated me like I was nothing, she was more focused in telling me that I will have to sign and agree on the payment even before they will see me. Throughout the examination, she was cold and uninterested in me. They gave me a follow up appointment however the first thing I did after getting out of this uncaring place was to call another oral surgeon. The only decent person in the office was the receptionist who showed respect and concern. I will highly recommend others not consider this clinic and finding a different oral surgeon. The doctor may be OK but if he allows as rough and uncaring assistant, he obviously himself does not care or has no insight into his practice.
