I've been to Sam's quite a few times and surprisingly have never reviewed this place! I came back today to surprise my husband with a clean car. The staff are always wonderful, friendly, and helpful. I always feel welcome here. The car wash itself is subpar, often times, I find myself wiping some areas down after the wash. I see other people do this as well. I do love the self-vacuum parking spots. They're large and allow you to have your doors open without worrying about other cars banging into you. The car mat wash area is nice, too. They recently added a tub to scrub your mats yourself which is really convenient, especially because one machine is not enough for all of the customers to share. One of the nicest things about coming here is that you're not given a time limit when cleaning the inside of your car. I'm mindful of how busy it can be but if it's slow, I do like to take my time and really clean the car to the best of my ability. I wish the vacuums were more powerful and had different attachments but overall, I can get a decent clean in between professional detailings. For $25 with a complimentary wash, I feel like I get a good deal out of it. As an older woman who's been around long enough to know good service when I see it, let me tell you: this experience was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I pulled in, I was greeted with smiles and a level of care I haven't seen in years. But what truly stood out were two young gentlemen in purple shirts--I believe their name tags read Brett and Chase. Let me be clear: these two were a breath of fresh air. Respectful, kind, professional, and so genuinely helpful, I honestly felt like royalty. They guided me through the process with such patience and attentiveness--answering my questions, checking on the smallest details, and treating me not just as a customer, but as a human being. In a world where good manners and strong work ethic seem to be fading, Brett and Chase reminded me that the next generation still has some shining stars. I was astonished--in the best way. If management sees this: these boys deserve a raise, a plaque, and a day named after them. I left not only with a sparkling clean car, but also a full heart. Tell me how I could love this place more! I have had staff walk up and just start helping me clean my vehicle, powerwash my molded mats, and most recently I had a staff member walk up to me and ask me to run back through the car wash for no additional charge because they did not do a great job getting the bugs off of the front of my vehicle. He then asked the guys at the entrance of the car wash to scrub to scrub the bugs off when I came through. I explained to him that I have an unlimited wash membership (because why wouldn't I??) and thanked him, as well as those who did the scrubbing. We love Sam's at Roger's Road! This is usually our go to Sam's location and they're great every time. We have the membership so we go frequently, at least 2x a week. The service here is absolute TRASH, my fiancé recently took one of our cars to get a wash 2003 BMW bought last year in PERFECT condition. He went through the car wash and after he got out our car wouldn't start and once it did it would turn off. We had to purchase a tow home for 140$ Was told to file a claim and would be contacted the next business day. We weren't contacted for three days and was told they couldn't do anything. I am a car collector and very picky about my cars. I bring my "daily driver" cars there and have been very impressed. I am amazed at how well the car looks afterwards. I like how they have free vacuum cleaners, but also clean microfiber towels and bottles of glass cleaner to use. You can get a great wash here in only minutes and at a very affordable price. I have never experienced any issues or scratches. Highly recommend! read more

Pretty good car wash and very user-friendly. Main drawback is that frequently spots on our cars are missed - paying $17 (yes, they raised the price $2 recently) for the top wash and still having to clean some of your car after is a bummer. A few times we've visited and vacuums were literally so crammed with trash that they were non-functioning. Employees are typically pleasant and usually one is at the payment kiosk to help you along. Overall, I choose this wash over other one on S. Main because of the many vacuum bays. I've never had to wait to vacuum, whereas the other local wash is simply too crowded and WAY to small to handle the traffic. read more

If you've driven past this place at night you've seen what looks like a light show - is it a party, is it a car wash? Drive up to a machine where you decide which wash you'd like, pay with cash or charge and move on through. Friendly staff help you in the process, although I do wonder if that's just while it's new or if it will turn into completely automated service. In any case, it's quite fun for a car wash with its lights and colorful soaps; gets the job done at a reasonable price. They do not vacuum for you but there are many self vacuum covered stalls that make it quite easy to take care of and go. A couple of cool options include things like pay for one wash now, come back within 4 days and get a free wash. We'll most likely be back. read more

Three Saturdays ago, I visited this place to have my vehicle washed. Afterward, while using the vacuum cleaners, a very expensive pen fell on the floor of my vehicle and got sucked up into the vacuum cleaner. I told the attendants about it. They told me that in order for the pen to be retrieved from the vacuum canister (I could hear it rattling around; it would have been easy to get) they would have to turn off the vacuum cleaners for all the other customers. I didn't want to inconvenience them, so I told him that I would come back the next day. The attendant told me that he would inform his manager/supervisor and it would be retrieved for me that night at closing when they cleaned out the canisters. When I returned early the next day, I went to the main office. One of the attendants who was working the night before remembered me and explained the situation to the person who was apparently the manager, a girl with long, dark hair, sitting in a circle with a group of other attendants doing nothing. She told me that pen could not be retrieved and gave some lame excuse about the items being dirty or some other nonsense and basically refused to be of any assistance. Because I was the only person of color in the building, it would be easy to ascribe her unwillingness to help to a certain level of racism, but instead I'll attribute it to a basic laziness. All she had to do was point me in the direction of the place where the canisters were emptied. I would have picked through myself. I had gloves and my pen was distinctive enough that I would have found it easily. This business has posted on its wall its company values. It should amend them to include Lying and Laziness. I waited for a while before submitting this review thinking my anger about the incident would subside, but remembering the shiftlessness of the staff person has made me more upset about it. There are better places than this to get your car washed. Go to them. read more

I had some damaged done to my cars a couple of months ago and when I left a review I was told to email them. Well I emailed them on Sept 5 and I have yet to hear back from you. This is not only disrespectful to your customers but it's bad customer service. Now if I had to involve an attorney to solve this dilemma then I will. He starts off with trying to sell the special and if that doesn't work he tries to sell you a subscription. I repeated a no to everything but he keep pushing it. The best thing about this place is the courteous staff. Gabe walked up to me while I was vacuuming my car and asked if I needed anything. We had a pleasant conversation and then without asking he cleaned my tires. What a nice surprise. I'll return again because of Gabe. this is the greatest car wash in Raleigh and Wake Forest. I have had exceptional service at every location every time. They fully spray down the car with soap before entering the car wash, and they provide spray cleaner and clean towels to use, and I'm able to wash my mats for free. The number of vacuum bays was impressive, and I liked the 2 different vacuum attachments. (Suggestion: some disposable towels to wipe off the interior.) So after receiving a terrible wash in March the district manager Richard Basham sent me a code to try them again in hopes of a better wash. However today I decided to try them again and use said code on my car instead of the Tahoe in hopes it would clean the car better since it considerably smaller and drove 20 minutes out of the way to use said code. Well I get there and the code is no good just like the car wash and had to leave with a dirty vehicle again. This time the problem is Richard for a bogus code that said nothing about an expiration date just a code number. So I was turned away kissed again. This wash looks nice but sucks and so does upper management go at your own risk. After my last yelp the manager reached out with one of his personal codes so I went by last week in my car instead of the Tahoe. On the car I got a much better wash than in the Tahoe. The lesson I learned is to take the the car but not the Tahoe if you want a better wash. Thanks read more

North Carolina has so much pollen in the spring, the unlimited car wash will be your go to. The employees are friendly and will even help you dry your car. There's a mat cleaner & enough vaccine for a fleet! Exxon is also close by, just in case you need to fill up. I would give 5 stars but it'd be nice to provide window cleaner & towels for customers to dry off their cars. Hopefully Sam's will expand and come to Raleigh! read more

Beware DO NOT USE THIS CAR WASH!!!! I ran my 2004 Cadillac Escalade through the car wash and it destroyed the center cap of my rim. I noticed this before I left the car wash and informed the manager. We looked inside the car wash and found it laying inside. I filed a claim and they denied it. This Escalade came with upgraded 20" rims form Cadillac. First they said that if the car is over 10 years old they are not responsible. . . How stupid is that? Then they said the rims were not original equipment. This company will do or say anything to get out of paying a claim. I have canceled my monthly contract with them and if you are smart you will do the same! read more

On June 14, 2017, I drove my burgundy BMW 335i convertible in for wash. After the wash, I parked the car in order to use the vacuum cleaner. As I got out, I noticed a deep scratch on the driver's side door. Walking around the car, I found multiple more deep scratches, many were down to the primer showing a white line on dark burgundy paint. The scratches were random, on the hood, on both doors, on the rear wheel wells, on the trunk, and on the right rear light cover. Some were less than an inch long, but some were 4-5 inches. I immediately notified the staff. A gentleman named Adam acknowledged the damages and helped fill out a damage report. Adam explained to me that he would submit the damage report and I should get a phone call with a decision within a few days. Several days later, I received a phone call from John. He said he was the person in charge and he had videos/photos showing that the scratches were already on the car before I entered the car wash. He offered to show me the videos/photos if I stopped by his office at the car wash location. On June 27, 2017, I stopped by the car wash to see the videos/photos of the said scratches that John had offered to show. However, after 45 minutes of desperate attempts to search through the videos/photos on the computer, John was unable to provide a single video/photo that showed the scratches before the vehicle entered the car wash. He, however, was able to find several photos & videos that showed the scratches AFTER the car went through the car wash. John admitted that it wasn't him that decided to deny the claim, it was someone above him. John gave me the name of his direct manager, Berret and suggested that I give Berret a call. I called Berret on June 29, 2017. What Berret said was that he could not find any photos or video evidences that the car wash or his staff caused damage to the vehicle. When I mentioned the photos and videos of the vehicle entering the car wash without any scratches, and exiting the wash with multiple clearly visible deep scratches, Berret said those videos/photos were not high enough in resolution and should not be trusted. It is ironic that he counted on these photos/videos to decide that the car wash and his staff did not cause the damages simply because he didn't see the damage happening, but completely discounted the clearly visible before (without scratches) and after (with scratches) photos/videos of the vehicle recorded by onsite cameras. Minutes later, I received a phone call from Anthony. Anthony said he was the district manager. Anthony repeated everything Berret said and concluded that Sam's Xpress is not responsible for the damages to my vehicle. Please note that the cameras do not capture the entire process of a vehicle going through the car wash, especially when the vehicle is inside the wash tunnel, hence Sam's Xpress arguing the damages did not happen there because there is no video/photo of what caused the damages is totally baseless. Clear photos/videos of the vehicle entering the car wash without the said scratches, and exiting the wash tunnel with multiple scratches are, however, very convincing evidence and should have been taken seriously by Sam's Xpress in their decision to not accept any responsibility for the damages. While inside Sam's Xpress office to see the photos and videos, I noticed a stack of damage reports/complaints of similar cases, indicating that damage to customer's vehicle is a frequency occurrence. I have 4 vehicles and wash and vacuum at least 1 of them every weekend at Sam's Xpress in Wake Forest since the day they first opened. This kind of incident never happened before to any of my vehicles until this last time. I've got to say they have the nicest staff and great customer service. However, denying responsibility while there are clear evidences that their facility caused damage to my vehicle is totally unacceptable. My next step is to contact 5 On Your Side and possibly seek legal action if Sam's Xpress chooses to continue denying responsibility for the damages. read more

My husband and I were frequent customers of this car wash since they opened. Not anymore!!! Something in the car wash scratched my door, deep circular scratches in a small area. The wash stopped working while I was inside of it, and when it started back up, it jolted the car - much more so than the usual nudge when washes start back up again. I got out after and walked around, and saw the damage. I reported it to the employee there. Very nice young man. He took down the claim and was positive it would be handled. It was obvious the damage had just happened. It took a few weeks to get a hold of the manager, Artie, and when I finally did, his response was no surprise. "I'm sorry ma'am but the scratch on your vehicle wasn't caused by the wash. Our brushes are made of microfiber and wouldn't have caused that". Are you serious?? Come on, cut the bs!! I am so disappointed this guy found me to be that dumb. What did he think? I would just say ok and leave it at that? I will not be treated this way. Especially with this car! And who knows how many other customers have experienced the same. It's a small area on the door, like really small.. and the price to fix it would be nothing. If you own a business, and something bad happens that's on you.. then handle it. Fix it. Isn't the reputation of your business worth it?? I've never complained at a wash before but this time it was so apparent that I couldn't drive away. It's unfortunate. They increased their prices and for $17 I got a 30-45 second wash and my vehicle is not clean. Plenty of grime on the front still and rims look like crap. No one around to really do the pre scrub or to wipe down after. My 8 & 6 year old do a better job for less money. After my car went through the machine I drove off and notice my passenger rear vIew mirror was cracked I told the manager filed a claim with him. He took pictures and said they never seen something happen like this before I knew right then they wasn't going to fix it. It's been 2 weekS and I still haven't heard from them about the claim. Not a fan. Decided to try it out after driving past many times. I bought the premium wash as the attendant said the top wash weather shield wouldn't be beneficial since I have a white vehicle. First thing I noticed was that they only "pre-cleaned" one side of my SUV before it went into the tunnel, then the blowers were super strong, but my car still had a lot of water drops after the wash was over. Once I stopped outside to vacuum I noticed my wheels and tires looked awful, and I had a few black marks/streaks on my car. After trying to rub the marks off I realized it was grease. I went and asked an attendant about the wheels and spots, he said they have been having some "issues with the machine" recently and came to help me. He rubbed the brake dust off my wheels for me and put armor-all on the tires. When I got home the armor-all had splattered onto the sides of my car, so I had to wipe everything down again at home. I'll keep looking for a good car wash in the WF area. read more

The first few times I came here, I didn't have any issues. About 1.5 months though, the windshield wiper on the rear of my car was ripped off and the fog light got water in it. They dismissed the fog light and I was given the wrong replacement part for the rear wiper. Two nights ago, I got my car washed here and woke up to find a significant amount of water/condensation in my headlights. When I came in to the store, the manager on duty tried to brush it off and offered a free car wash after I complained. I told him I wanted to file a claim and he told me I would have to sit and wait. 10 minutes later he came out and basically told me that both my headlights had simultaneously failed and it was my fault for bringing the car in. I spoke to a manager today and was told the same thing. I would not recommend this place for the subpar customer service and because my vehicle was damaged on two occasions. read more
