I called to get a bid on some floor care in a few commercial spaces I manage in Central Florida…read more The first contact went great. I spoke with Dave II and he was on the ball. I really thought this company could not only handle the scope of work but the volume without becoming flaky. (Some companies don't want your business if they feel the job is to big or to small) I sent on all the information regarding what particular services I wanted and hoped for the best. This was friday afternoon.---I received an email back from Dave that he received everything I sent and was going to take a silent walkthrough of the closest site from his office in Sanford. I called this morning (Monday) expecting to hear his findings and get his price points and such. Instead I was greeted by the nastiest receptionist I have every spoken with. It is not even 10am! First she wants to know everything and everything even though I asked for Dave (who is the co-owner) by name. Then she asks me if I am an existing client. I answered honestly, "no, not yet". She then tells me that "this is a sales call and to take them off my list" with a tone that I would smack my child for useing toward an adult. This is supposed to be a business! She then half hangs up on me! When she comes back she asks me if I still want to talk to Dave. I should have stopped her right there and told her that I am not interested in doing business with any company that employs people so disrespectful, but I didn't. Instead I gave her the benefit of the doubt and told her that I would be telling Dave that this is how she treats prospective business. I could literally hear her rolling her eyes as she puffed out "fine!". (At this point I can hear people in the background) Then she tells me I'm the one thats rude! I finally get Dave on the phone. So I make good on my word after reintroducing myself and tell Dave how his receptionist is acting. His answer- "if you knew how many sales calls we get you would understand". I understand this, we ALL get sales calls. I get them in the office, I get them at home, I get them on my cell, heck- I have an inner office email box peppered with spam right now.. THATS LIFE. I would NEVER be rude on any one I have on the line. Especially when I know this is how my business comes in. (this is a $60k+ a year contract I'm trying to fill!) My money introduces itself on the phone, its something we all deal with. Long story short, I would not recommend this company to anyone. If the receptionist acts this way and the owners are aware of it imagine how the technicians act when they are on a job. Imagine how they would treat the merchandise. Even better, imagine how they would treat the consumer WITHOUT the boss being onsite. PASS, and consider yourself warned
