We hired Sam's Trees 805 again! As usual they were prompt to respond to calls. Scheduled us immediately and the work again was superior. The clean up after the job. We had 2 trees removed and two trimmed. A very skilled crew came out, with the foreman who was so amicable and honest!! Thanks Sam's 805! read more

Well cutting trees down on a neighbor's property, they climbed a 6-ft wood fence and cut on my property. When confronted. Confronted they said they did it realize it wasn't part of the same property. read more

Sam did a fast and efficient job. I'm so glad he was referred to me! He was very polite and fair. I highly recommend Sam's!!!

Punctual to the minute. Friendly, professional and brave! I could not do what these guys do. Scary! We had two Eucalyptus trees that have become very dangerous as of the last month. Many "widow makers" were falling over the sidewalk and street which made them an immediate concern to the community. Their location made them tricky because of the homes, street and sidewalk. This crew are masters of their trade. As anxiety inducing it was to watch them drop these huge branches from such heights, the relief from when the rope kicks in and safely swings it back to the trunk and then is slowly and safely lowered was quite satisfying to witness. I'm glad these trees are finally removed. Thank you! read more

Sam's Tree company is great! Sam himself is easy to deal with and is very reachable and available. Pricing is also competitive and reasonable. The work is done on time, done very well, and very thorough/complete! Both of his employees are very nice, caring, helpful and diligent with their job. ( Audi/Jose). I highly recommend them and will pass them on as a company to use! I will definitely call them again if I ever need their services. read more

Another positive experience last week with Sam's Tree Service. Kudos to Manuel for the prompt return call and on-site estimate. A round of applause to Crew Leader Walter and his team for the awesome job trimming my walnut trees. The trees were thinned to perfection. The price was reasonable, and the guys did a great job. read more

These guys are the best! I had an oak tree split and crash down on the structure covering my motor home. They were able to cut the tree and remove it without the entire structure coming down. The structure was testing on top of the rear of the RV and a 3" branch had pierced through the roof. They did an amazing job. Thank you so much! read more

This company was amazing . They were timely , efficient and honest . Highly recommended

Wow. Sam's will be my first call anytime I need tree work done. I had a 60' redwood, with a diseased trunk, and a lean angle of over 5 degrees due to the root system being compromised from all the rains and some poorly executed digging by my neighbor. I've cut down a few trees, but not like this redwood. Frankly, it scared me. Sam came over and knew just where to cut. The tree didn't split or kickback and actually landed in the perfect spot. After seeing the amount of rot in the trunk, I was amazed the job went off without a hitch. Sam knows what the heck he is doing. His pricing was great, also. read more

We had 5 bids to have our pine tree removed because a neighbor complained about all of the pine needles in his yard! Sam's was the lowest of all the bids we received! We had our reservations about going with a bid that was much cheaper than all of the others but we are SO glad that we chose Sam's! Sam and his crew of professionals did an excellent job of removing the pine tree, hauling away the massive trunk and cleaning up all of the debris! I would not hesitate to recommend Sam's Tree to all of our friends and neighbors!!! read more

Sam's is the best! They took care of some large oaks on my property 2 years ago. Excellent service! This morning I called them as I was concerned about several trees that falling could affect me or my neighbors. Sam's guys were here in half an hour and checked every tree. They were wonderful to me as I tearfully explained my fears. They were polite and understanding and reassuring. My neighbors and I are safe, nothing is ready to fall, and I can sleep through another wind storm. Thank you Sam's Tree Service . read more

The 'tree cutters are comin' to prune the trees.... they will be on the property for 3 days.... came the message. I live in granma's cottage right next to the 600 year old oak and 2 more large shade trees outback....none had had any attention for the ten years I have been living here. Comin' from downunna I have much respect for the bush & her critters.... the crew arrived and started working, gotta say the machinery blew me away.... no smokey dee-seeze al's... all first class optimum tuned machinery.... First day I meet Juan.... he looks latino so I say.... "eh Juan si parli Italiarno pisarno" ,,,,, I shoot at him.... big smile he half understood... spoke 'merican better than I can hahahahahaha connection aye ! The next day they did the big Oak and grandma's cottage 2 shade trees... WOW .... I met Audi and explained another dead pine we wanted pulled and a hedge that had died on a steel trellis... bein' an aussie... I said just chain it up drag the whole nine yards out.. I'll do the rest... talk about value adding with smarts... Audi sent in one 'o' the crew... he cut the the dead pine tree out with a saw by hand.... hand cut the bottom of the dead hedge... then "gorilla'd" it and wrestled it all away from the steel trellis.. rolling it up into the shredder , deal done... no clean up... Perfect... no re-assembley of trellis for the new hedge,,, these cats are SMART. I watched them work the trees for half an hour... I think Juan was "sarge" in the bucket with chainsaw on a rope.... 2 'o' the crew... were monkeying and chasing each main branch all the way to the top.. cutting all the succours... 2 'o' the crew were the "sweepers" ....pickin up and carting... feeding into shredder.... this shredder the RPM sounded in the range of aircraft tech....super powerfull... The finished product.... all the trees on the property look like they have bonsai'd.... I doubt there would be a more skilled, better equipped no nonsense team anywhere from the central coast to fresno ..... five stars team the aussie, aye ! read more

A friend recommended Sam's as his go to tree service for many years. We have used them for several jobs now and have always been very satisfied about their timeliness, professionalism, explanation about what they were going to do and why, and they left the areas clean. We highly recommend Sam's Tree Service. read more

I contacted Sam's tree to come and do 3 large trees in our yard. Sam was very responsive through calls and texts when it came to quoting the project. He explained in detail when they came out how they would access the yard and cut the trees, avoiding structures in the back. Because of his thorough explanation I went with their company even though his quote was slightly higher than others I had received. The day of the project he and his team showed up on time just as he said they would. They completed the job thoroughly and even took out some extra trees and stumps that were damaged from taking the 3 large trees I had. Great experience, excellent communication and very reliable! read more

We had a dying Cottonwood that needed to come down. Sam's Tree Service came on a Saturday in order to work with our impossible schedule. They did an amazing job and except for the missing tree you would not have known they were there. Super polite and professional too! We will definitely call them for future tree trimming and recommend them to our friends. read more

One big shoutout to Sam's! We recently moved into a home with a jungle of untrimmed trees and bushes. I tried to wrangle the yard for weeks, then I found a card for Sam's. I wanted a licensed arborist, since we have several white birch trees, which are typically fragile. Mike stopped by one afternoon, and the next morning, the team got to work. Four of the birch trees were dead and removed, everything else needed trimming and now look great. A reasonable price for the work done. They're pros! read more

Called Sams to get a estimate to have a tree removed. They didn't answer but I left a message asking for a return call. These guys couldn't even call me back to let me know why they couldn't make it out. I got a call from another tree service Arbor 1st that they said sams referred. Seriously they couldn't even call to say they were to busy. I lived here in Slo my whole life my family has been here for 100 years we had a plumbing business so I understand customer service and being busy. I guess a call back now days is difficult. Well I won't recommend Sams to any one if any one asks I'll make sure to steer them clear of these guys. read more

This is the 2nd time we have used them to remove a tree. I highly recommend this service! They are responsive and do a fantastic job. We had a large Oak tree taken out that was dead and didn't want to risk it falling at some point on our house. They were able to fit us in their schedule and came out ON TIME..... and did a super neat job. They cut up the tree into rounds and placed it where my husband requested so he can split it later. They left the yard immaculate as we requested for them to take the chips away. We couldn't be any happier with their work and their Price. We also were able to use one of their coupons they had in one of the coupon magazines that come in the mail. We will DEFINITELY use them again when the need arises!! read more

I usually don't write reviews but Sam's did such a great job with our tree removal I felt compelled too. It was a huge job and they did it so efficiently and with great care of all the obstacles around the tree, including our house guest house and plants. Noting was damaged and the crew was so professional. They also gave us the best quote of any other crews in town. Thanks guys!!!! Would highly recommend. read more

These guys are AWESOME! Sam, Kelly and their crew did an amazing job removing a HUGE tree on my family's rental property. They took care of contacting the tenants, neighbors and City before they started the work. They brought out plenty of workers and equipment to get the job done. After the tree was removed, they went above and beyond to make sure the property was left as good or better. I highly recommend Sam's Tree Service and will absolutely use them in the future. Five stars all day long! read more

All 3 times we have had Sam's Tree 805 Inc perform the work of trimming our large oak trees we have been VERY satisfied. We always get 2-3 estimates and Sam's is always competitive and since we are familiar with the quality of their work we go with them. They are professional, thorough and pleasant to work. Besides getting at the most needed branches and limbs for maintenance and safety around our home it seems they always go the extra mile and really clean up the tree; not taking any shortcuts. Our last experience with them they were presented the challenge of trimming a whole lot of oak trees growing over our above ground pool, deck and fence and they nailed it.... did a fantastic job without any damage to the pool or the fence around it etc. Communication from start to finish is a breeze; and even during the work.... which is a plus! We highly recommend Sam's!! read more

We had a large downed redwood tree removed in a difficult spot. We had several bids. Sam's gave a very fair bid, took care of the challenging job very quickly and was extremely responsive in communications every step of the way. Polite, respectful. Top ratings. We would gladly use his services again. Great crew and wonderful way he conducts business. Very pleasant demeanor as well. read more

Outstanding in every respect. Sam and Neeley were great to work with. We got a quote quickly with enough detail to understand what we were going to get for our money. The crew was fantastic, polite and professional. They moved with military precision about our property, trimming, chipping and cleaning up in three crack teams. Manuel was a great team leader. Everyone even graciously dealt with our micro-management when our two favorite trees were being trimmed. Maybe the best experience we've had yet with folks coming up to work on our property! I can't recommend this business highly enough. read more

Highly recommend Sam's. Great work. Pleasant. Knowledgeable about trees. Flexible as we added more projects. Will use again.

Our trees look great they did a great job on cleanup afterwords also! I can't recommend these guys enough. They were quick on time and very helpful with everything we asked for! We had them severely prune back one of our fake plum trees and I think it's going to look amazing next year. read more

Excellent workmanship & excellent crew! Very impressed with this company from start to finish. They cut down our 65-70' pine & did it with ease! The guy who came to bid our job was friendly enough, but our driveway is up a hill, and he peeled out trying to back up, almost crashed, drove two wheels off our cement , cracking off a piece of the asphalt and destroying two of our driveway lights in the process. He said "oh sorry I bonked your driveway a bit didn't I ". He then had the audacity to quote me 6000 dollars for a trim job the other company we will be going with quoted 3200. I was shocked at the quote and then had started backpedaling saying oh there are some coupons floating around out there so you will pay less. So we could probably do it for 5500. Maybe 5000. Possibly 4000. We are not definitely not the cheapest but we are the best, so even though you will be paying more to go with us, we will do the job better". So you're just straight up telling me you will rip me off? Very disappointed with this experience. And actually lost money just getting a quote due to my damaged driveway. If this is even close to any sort of accurate representation of this company I think I dodged a serious bullet. :/ read more

This company is awesome! I had a tree emergency that was going to hold up my construction, Scott came to my job and gave me a fair price and had a huge tree removed the next day.
