I order for corporate lunches quite often as well as visit this location on personal time. Food is always a hit and is requested over and over. Food is always on point and as ordered. When visiting on personal time service is great, (I only visit when one particular server is working) and food is always as ordered and delicious. read more

HOLY COW! THIS PLACE IS A JEWEL! I mean when you think about a Southern Eatery, Sam's embodies all that. This place is the personification of, feeling like you at Grandma's. Ms. Sarah is top notch! I have watched this woman run the front half of the restaurant, all by herself. I mean greeting everyone as they come in, taking their orders, along with drive thru orders, and phone orders. Never missing a beat, and always smiling the whole time. The hospitality and quality of food, will have you feeling like a grandchild at Granny's table. The only thing great was the customer service. I had a pie it was still frozen my fish was not catfish in my be in the catfish family. We tried it again and spent almost $40 and got sick. So, we wasted money. would have been better off with buying hot dogs and chili Now, when it first opened it they had real catfish and the food was good. We were traveling through the area and found this location. We enjoy fish and the reviews were good so we gave it a chance and stopped. We walked in and were immediately greeted by a very friendly smiling server, Moo, who showed us to a nice booth. She took our drink order and returned shortly to take our food order. They have a wide variety of selections of seafood but, she suggested we order the Catfish lunch special. My wife ordered just Catfish with two sides, Red Beans and Rice and Okra. I tried the Catfish and Oysters combo which was three of each with sides of Mac & Cheese and Red Beans and Rice. The fish filets were thick, huge with a thin Cornmeal breading. Some of the best Catfish we've ever had. The Oysters were slightly over fried. The sides were also very good but, not homemade. The service was exceptional and she went out of her way to be friendly and helpful. We will return if we are nearby again. read more

Grilled or fried, it's your choice. Chicken or seafood served with wonderful sides like Mac and cheese, coleslaw, red beans and rice, okra, green beans, and fries. I went here for lunch one day last week. I ordered a grilled chicken salad. I received a lot of chicken strips. The chicken was prepackaged. The chicken was salty with little flavor: The salad had cooked green peppers and onions. I got a tiny amount of iceberg lettuce. The Italian dressing was served on the side in little cups. One of cups had a bug in it. I don't think this is a very clean restaurant. I'm not going back. read more

I only had red beans, my family had liver, fish and Cole slaw. The fish was supposed to be catfish, but it turned out to be whiting or Swai, which is disappointing. We are traveling and happened upon this fabulous eatery. Everything from the service to the hush puppies, coleslaw, catfish, bread , and Chicken Livers was just amazing. Almost missed this gem driving around looking for good dining that wasn't a huge chain. Ambiance inside is not real fancy. The only reason it didn't get all the stars was due to cosmetics. We stopped in for a bite to eat on our way back home. We stopped because the google reviews were all good. Let me tell you, it was worth it. There was 7 of us and we all had something different. It was amazing. Everything! The fish, the shrimp, the po'boy the gumbo (which like the waitress told me was a little more soupy than the authentic gumbo, but still Amazing), all of it. We all left with full bellies and Happy taste buds! The waitress was super informative and really helpful when ordering. I will definitely remember this place.
