The manager then decided to take it in a negative way and began yelling. Upon which I made it clear to him that HE/the company is responsible for making sure their employees are wearing the proper gear as per new Covid guidelines. Absolutely ludicrous behavior on the manager's part. Unsatisfactory that employees have to be subjected to such.

I've never been treated rudely and the employees all seem friendly enough. But, I have come across the same situation as I had yesterday. The labels that describe the ice cream are almost always wrong. I don't understand that? It's as if no one really cares to make sure the flavors match the sign. Yesterday the sign said, NY Cheesecake. It sure looked like Chocolate Chip to me. I asked the young man for a taste and sure enough....Chocolate Chip. I told him, it was Chocolate Chip. He insisted it was NY Cheesecake. I just ordered it..... My neighbor once sent me for a quart of Baseball Nut, before I knew what it looked like. I came back to her house with a quart of Bubble Gum ice cream. I ordered it, by the signage. I had to go back and return it. I continue to go there because it's close by. I just ignore the signs posted and taste the flavor before I purchase it. ‍

Neighborhood gem alert!!!…read more Walked here with my boo and we tried some ice cream flavors and then we picked up dinner to go from the same place. It is part of a large shopping center and there is tons of parking for those who need a car to get there. The space used to be a Dunkin Donuts and they repurposed the existing furniture and added a touch of their own. When one walks in, on the left, there's the cake and ice cream counters first and then the main eats at the back. To the right there's a variety of seating options. Bar seating with two outlets - great for people who want to work and nosh. Some round and square tables beyond that. I didn't check to see if there was a bathroom - but next time I'm in the area, I will check it out. Ozzie's has a huge variety of food options and a lot of flavors to match the community, including the ice cream! They have some boozy flavors paired with Jamaican Rum Cake, Bailey Nut and Henny Nut, for example. I wound up getting the Jamaican Rum Cake flavor with Mint Chocolate Chip on top, whilst my boo ordered Moose Tracks. We sat at the back and savored every spoonful. Their ice cream is definitely as advertised: Homemade. It melted quickly even though it was cool day. Before heading home we were debating about what to eat for dinner. We couldn't decide between the patties or one of the meat dishes/stews. We wound up asking for the jerk chicken. They gave us options of what we could have with it, when we asked for plantains instead of the sides they suggested, they said that was included! Sweeet! We opted for the rice and beans. They packed our medium bowl pretty tight and then, when the manager came out she suggested the girl pack it even more because they were almost out of it anyway. Extra props for the extra food! We loved it and the spiciness that came through the jerk chicken. The plantains were perfect! The rice and beans were not temperature hot, but still tasted good with the food we shared. I want to make a note that some of the prior review(s) stated that the customer service people were rude, however, that was not the case for us. We got exceptional kindness and service from the two women on staff. For those who don't realize, sometimes people are having a bad day, and it is best not to take it personally. You don't know the other persons' life and can't judge an experience based on that alone. I also noticed that they have two signs - each one dedicated to burgers and impossible (meat/dairy free) burgers. That is awesome, since usually the impossible burger only gets one type of preparation/option. They also have mouthwatering cakes, sandwiches and a wide variety of juices. The food was great and we will definitely be back for more happy eats!

Is it possible to leave 3.5 stars?…read more I got married here on 1/18. I'll start with the pros: 1) Jay was extremely helpful and nice the entire process leading up to the wedding. We really enjoyed working with her on the wedding planning itself. 2) The room looked absolutely beautiful the day of. The decor was beautiful and overall I was blown away with the set up. 3) The food was absolutely delicious, my guests raved about the food. Now the cons... 1) We were extremely disappointed in our Maître D. I wish I remembered his name. First off, he was extremely underdressed in a way that did not demonstrated he was the one running the show and in charge. Second, when we were finishing photos in the main room and my guests were coming, he was absolutely nowhere to be found. We needed him to usher people into the bar room so I could run to the bridal suite. Then he was absolutely nowhere to be found when we needed to line up for the ceremony then reception. It was just an overall trend that he was nowhere to be found when we needed him and was not helpful with guiding us throughout the party. 3) As helpful and kind as Jay was during the pre-wedding, when my husband came to her office scrambling because we had no idea where the Maître D was or what to do, she just stood there and didn't help us. She saw the panic we were all experiencing in with figuring out what to do and some guidance and wasn't helpful. 4) Considering we still gave Jay a tip at the end of the night, not a single person at Coral House called us the next day or week after to see how everything went and to tell us if we left anything there (which we know we did, but didn't know what exactly or how much). We know a (hopefully empty) card box and a few mr&mrs signs were left there (which we weren't schlepping back there for), and we were hopeful some cocktail napkins and flowers were left (which we would have came for) Not a single phone call or follow up. Overall the front of the house, guest experience was great and my guests had a fantastic time, but you would have thought it was their first wedding there considering how much lack of guidance we had behind the scenes and disregard of checking in. All of our vendors have followed up to see how the night went except Coral House.

5 Stars -- Our Dream Wedding at Coral House & Dream Events!…read more From the moment we walked into the Coral House, we were treated like family. Patrick and Leandra greeted us with such warmth that we looked forward to every visit. Jay, our Manager, was an absolute gem -- knowledgeable, organized, and incredibly patient. She has an amazing design eye and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect, from décor to timing to keeping this panicked bride calm! The food was outstanding. At our tasting, we were surprised with full-sized portions of each dish -- and the food served on our wedding day was exactly the same: hot, delicious, and beautifully plated. Our maître d', DJ, took care of us all evening and made sure we had everything we needed. The private bridal suite stocked with hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and a personal server was such a classy touch. The service from every Coral House staff member was impeccable -- professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. Even staff not assigned to our party greeted us with smiles and offers to help. Dream Events, led by Samantha, handled our entertainment package flawlessly -- the DJ (Christian) was phenomenal, the bartender kept the drinks flowing, the décor was stunning, and the photographer captured every moment. Our guests are still talking about how amazing everything was -- especially the ice cream cart after all that dancing! Coral House and Dream Events delivered above and beyond what they promised. Our wedding was perfect, and we have zero complaints. If you're looking for a venue and team that truly care about your day, this is it.
