This is a Circle K now. I noticed all the Mapco's in Huntsville are now Circle K's. A year ago…read morethis was a beautiful new store with new pumps that had soapy water to clean windshields and towels to dry off with sanitizer for your hands. The inside was pristine. I walked in to water on the floor by the soda fountain which was closed I guess due to the water on the floor. I walked around the puddle thinking someone should clean that up to prevent folks from slipping and to keep the spread of water to a minimum. There were three employees at the registers and one by the drink coolers so they did have more than two employees in the store. The great news is the outdoor printers worked at the gas pump! It was very crowded inside and outside. Be careful walking in the parking lot.

Went here for the lore of it all. This place is huge. Is it a gas station or a grocery store or a…read moremall? The answer is yes. Their marketing is too notch, I don't think it's possible to walk out of there without some sort of souvenir. It's well lit. They have Buc-ee's children's books, Buc-ee's swimsuits, Buc-ee's everything. I walked out with an assortment box of fudge, cotton candy-watermelon,strawberry banana, and regular. Watermelon one taste like it was made with the baby bottle pop watermelon dip power-amazing. The strawberry banana actually tasted like individual flavors coming together the banana flavor imitated the banana laffy taffy I was impressed, and they were like only $2. They have rock candy suckers here! You don't see those everywhere, they feel like a cannon event. I noticed they have a huge deli Jekry style. A whole bakery fudge style. And the people that work there in cowboy hats which I thought was really cute. Was it worth the hype? Sure. Be prepared to spend at least an hour on your port break during a road trip. The view at the pump is beautiful as are most views in Tennessee. Saw some things I've never seen before even in the checkout line, energy packs that look like zyns. And specialty mints in interesting flavors.

This is my first and possibly last Bucee's experience…read more Outside: YES--Cheapest gas--a full $0.70 cheaper than any other stations along the highway!!! That alone was worth the stop, but the rest of the experience was less than expected. By the pumps, there are no windshield washer squeegees anywhere, so you cannot clean the bugs off of your windshield. The pay-at-the-pump interface was frustrating. It would not accept my Discover card. I used my Visa, and it locked into selling me only 15 gallons. The only great part of the refueling experience was the price and the zero wait for a pump because they have so many of them. Also, this location has a car wash, and the purchase option was imbedded in the gas purchase--I didn't want it, but accidentally got it. I guess that would be one way to clean the windows, but be aware as you're trying to buy gas. Inside: The inside is huge. It's like someone took a Walmart and placed restrooms and food kiosks in the center of it. The women's bathroom was awesomely clean. It's huge with individual doored stall-rooms along the walls with green (open) and red (busy) lights above the door, so you can quickly find a stall that's open. The entire center of the bathroom is full of sinks/soap/paper towels. It was spotlessly clean and the highlight of the whole experience. Food: Having seen another Yelp review, we got 2 XXL BBQ Brisket sandwiches and Buc-ee's chips and 2 $0.99 fountain drinks. We also picked up a small bag of chocolate covered pretzels. That lunch cost us $41, and there was nowhere to sit to eat it. The expectation is that you go back out to your car to eat. After being in the car for 6 hours, I didn't want to eat in the car, so we found a lamppost in the shade that we used as a "table" and stood to eat. Service: Everyone working at this location was helpful and friendly, so the service is great. Recommendation: If you are looking for a clean bathroom and cheaper gas--this is an awesome place to stop!! Of course, the cheaper gas price is how they draw you in, then they make up the loss in inside sales, especially food. There are many food choices, which is also good, as long as you intend to eat in the car. If you get the BBQ sandwich, I would get the one without the sauce.

I wouldnt have had a problem if he just told me to step out. He was being extremely rude and hostile. I couldnt hear him correctly and asked him about 10 times to repeat himself because all I saw was a random stranger holding his throat trying speaking words i couldnt understand. I didnt know he was an employee until after I understood him yet he still threatened to call the cops on me. Hes obviously stressed out but this was my worst experience after 5-6 years religiously coming to this store. He probably doesnt have to trauma dump that he has cancer after i told him i dont understand him he just turned red and started yelling at me louder... as best as he could . Sucks he has cancer but you cant treat customers like that especially if you can barely talk and without a uniform. Definitely needs to stay out of customer service if he cant talk.

It was a bonus that Huntsville Police would drive by and visit/check on us girls while we worked. Morning shift started at 6 AM and the store closed at 10 PM. We had to manually read and log the numbers from each gas pump, and it was nice to have the Police around during pump reading time right at closing. This Shell location was one of approximately 12 that we girls rotated working at, and they all had the same set up (bullet-proof glass, a slide out drawer for payment transactions, a safe in the floor, a back room full of cigarettes to keep the front cigarette area stocked, and a tiny restroom. Growing up around the corner on Holmes Avenue, I was happy this gas station "grew up" to be a full-service convenience store.
