i'd gone with moms to the store, at which she is a member, in search of rap snacks, of which i've had the nicki minaj truffle variety from there before. however, that flavor was not available in store at sam club as of last week. nonetheless, momma was able to easily locate the bulk supply of toilet paper she went to get for the house, and it fit comfortably in the large sized carts at the store, which i'd not noticed before, but seem fitting for a store specializing in bulk products to have. then, for the nostalgia of childhood trips with moms to the store, at which we would get pizza and drinks from the food court, i'd got in line to order a large pizza and icee freezie, but before i arrived, momma realized she can order via the sam club app, so she did, and the pizza was ready by about the time i'd have arrived to the front. that said, the worker delivering the pizza did not give me a drink at first, suggesting that mobile customers remember to ask for drink orders or the store include drink orders on the ticket that the worker delivering the pizza sees. nonetheless, the drink was tasty and refreshing, having melted to a liquidy consistancy by when we arrived at the crib. and the pizza was delicious, generous in size and cheese proportion. and although a remark from momma that the pizza smells good but kinda like cardboard did not resonate with me at the time, it has hit me afterward that most all pizza in a pizza box smells a bit like cardboard . and considering the pizza cost 8 and some change, even if her remark was meant as a critique, a cost valuable, good quality pizza is still superior to me than is an expensive one. read more

I never thought a trip to Sam's Club would leave me feeling so strangely philosophical. It was supposed to be a simple outing just the girls grabbing snacks for our weekend meetup. But the moment we walked in, I felt like I'd entered a simulation designed to test the limits of human consumption. The ceilings were high, the shelves were endless, and everything came in quantities that made me question whether anyone truly needs 144 granola bars at once. Sayori was immediately drawn to the sample stations, of course. She called it "a treasure hunt for tiny food," and somehow managed to charm every employee into giving her seconds. Natsuki got defensive over a bulk ramen pack, insisting it was "for emergencies," though I suspect she just liked the packaging. Yuri wandered off into the book section and didn't reappear until checkout, clutching a leather-bound journal like it had whispered secrets to her. I spent most of the time watching them, smiling, wondering if this was what normal felt like--wandering through a place built for families and routines, pretending we were just another group of girls with weekend plans and no existential baggage. We left with a cart full of snacks, bottled water, and a disturbingly large tub of cheese balls that Sayori named "Cheesington." I didn't argue. Sam's Club was overwhelming, absurd, and oddly comforting. A focus on Customer Service might help. I custom ordered a 2-tier cake for pickup this afternoon. The cake was their Shimmering Elegance 2-tier Gold cake with some special modifications - things like no flowers, make the tiers match using the gold marbling on both tiers, rather than their lower tier having gold flecks. I had also indicated at the time of ordering I wanted two sets of Roman Numerals on top of the cake to represent the ages. I asked if these could be placed as described: one number 1/2 moon along the top of the top tier and one number 1/2 moon along the bottom of the top tier because I had a special order cake topped that would go in the middle of the cake. I was assured there would be no problem with the requests. When the cake was presented to me, it WAS a 2-tier cake - but that ALL that was correct about the 'custom' cake. There was no gold marbling, there was no lettering on the top - just a plain, white cake (which I honestly think I could've done at home). After some dialogue about this was NOT what had been ordered, they threw the roman numerals on the cake in 2 straight rows, right in the middle of the cake in RED. It was also communicated their printer was messed up and they couldn't do the gold marbling. So, in my mind I feel a quick phone call to me with this information could have given me the option to maybe transfer the order to another store whose printer was not messed up. In the end, a 20% discount was granted on a shimmering gold cake - which had no gold whatsoever on it. Let's just hope like heck it tastes better than it looks. I don't normally complain much about things - but this was a very special occasion and the cake should have been created with the 'customs' requested - OR maybe help to figure out how to make this order right (by using another store, etc). Just BUYER BEWARE when ordering a custom cake. One photo was the starting point of their custom cake and the other photo is what was created for me. read more

I normally love Sam's club and the reason for the 3 star is their delivery service is horrible! They use Spark and if there is a problem with your delivery Sams refers you back to them to them. To me this is passing the buck because I didn't order from them and they could care less if they take care of you. For example, I order milk from Sams along with other items and when the order was received after the driver left I notice the milk was expired. Not by 1 day but by 3. I called Sams, they gave me Sparks number and Spark was a nightmare to talk to, they wanted to know what every person's name was that was on the account, which this is a business and there are multiple people on the account and for some reason they wanted to know their personal address. What for, needless to say they were supposed to call us back about when they would pick up the expired milk but haven't. Every time I have ordered from Sams there is something wrong with the delivery. Sams needs to do better, they need to find a reliable delivery service and Spark is definitely not it. read more

I enjoy shopping here. It's so easy. As a member, I have options- I can ship in-store, order a curbside pick up, or have items shipped to me. In store, I can use the app to scan and go instead of waiting in line. Also, their pizza is pretty good! We grabbed a couple for the family, and they said it would be about 10 minutes- that's exactly how long it took. We brought 2 home, and the kids were thrilled! read more

This store dose not support the needs for the disability needs. I have been shopping here for over 30 years. For the people I work with when buying big items you have to a training receipt to turn in to office to get a check to come back and pay on the items and to pick it up. Sam's club has done this for us for the last 25 years. Today I was told we never do that and we are not doing it for you. Told them this making me question of staying a member. The cam told me give me you card and we will end your membership and you can just go to Casco. the customer support here is horrible read more

This store is my least favorite Sam's Club. Today I was there shopping and seen all these items that are supposed to be in the refrigerator are sitting out in the aisles unattended and were warm to the touch. It was enough to make me leave my leave my basket of stuff and go elsewhere; I don't need food poisoning. This coupled with the fact that the service is usually subpar and the shopping experience is depressing compared to other clubs is one of the reasons I won't be coming back to this location. I love Sams Club. I order my groceries online with Easy Order and when I finish work, I go and pick them up. If I pay in advance, they deliver to my car. If not, I just go inside and pay at a special cash register dedicated for Easy Orders. If I forget something I can just pay at that same register and avoid the big cash register lines. What I like, too, is that on the website they keep track of your frequently ordered items, so you can re-Order easily. It's all very easy and convenient. read more

Pros: This is where we come when we want a cheap, quick dinner. $1.50 for a Nathan's hot dog plus a large fountain drink. Can't beat that deal. Living with my husband, 2 kids, and 2 brother in laws, I try to buy everything in bulk. Keep Panera bread soups (purchase them near rotisserie chickens) on hand in the freezer at all times. Cons: Lines are never long, but takes forever to get through them. Hate their return policy. Return an item without a receipt 3x/in a 6month period and can't make any returns for rest of the year. We have used this Sam's for a year. They are down to two humans at the register now during the weekday. We went in Monday morning and there was a couple of BLM employees in the back shelf areas standing around visiting. We came around the corner with our cart. They just looked at us , turned around and continued to talk. We waited but they never moved. We went around. We asked each other... were they trying to be rude? Then we saw these clowns do it again to some other shoppers. It's great to feel empowered now by the PC movement but no need to be a jerk. Rotisserie chicken at Sam's is hazardous to your health. There is absolutely no need for the extremely high levels of sodium, 550 MG per 3 oz serving, compared to Whole Foods at 70 MG per serving. This is a good plac to get what we need. i still do not understand why we have to pay an annua fee for the right to shop in store. But I do like the discount on fuel. Best place for bargain priced diapers, wipes and toilet paper. Can never make it out of here without spending over $100.00. I always get caught up in buying a case of drinks or snacks I don't really need. I also can't complain about the hot dog or pizza lunch combos. It's conveniently located and easier to access than the location off of 71st. However, not a huge fan of Walmart policies, so perhaps I'll switch membership loyalty when Costco finally arrives. read more

Once upon a time, the bakery "sold" unwashed 3 gallon buckets with lids for $1-$2. It was cash donations only, and I believe the proceeds went to St. Jude. Now, they slap a sticker on them still unwashed, and sell them for the same price. You might wonder why this bothers me. Well here it is; I don't mind scrubbing these buckets out before using them when the money goes to a good cause. If, however, these buckets that are otherwise discarded (I know for a fact they throw them out if they aren't purchased) are sold to swell companies bottom line, they need to be clean and serviceable for the end use. read more

Sam's is one of those places you grow up going to as a kid, you see the candy in bulk and think, "When I grow up, I'm buying that!". Well, now I'm grown up, and I can buy it! But my tastes have grown from candy to other things, like sushi. What?! Sushi at Sam's? I know what you're thinking...BUT, they had samples, I tried them, and I was shocked! This stuff was amazing! I forgot the name brand of sushi, but a company is making it fresh in house. There is a wide variety to choose from. You don't like Sushi? Okay, how about gourmet cheese or cured meats to make a charcuterie board for parties and impress your friends. They have that stuff here too along with a decent selection of seasonal fruits. If you're not into good eats, then I would recommend buying your essentials here like toilet paper and paper towels. It's great to have this in a stock pile at home, so you're not dropping $12 everytime you go to the store to buy one bag. Another great thing about Sam's are the gift possibilities. There are a lot of great gift options for Dads at this place so Father's Day or your Dad's B-day is taken care of here. Also, around Christmas they have great gift pack options for those relatives you just don't know what to get. One last tid-bit, the gift cards! You can buy gift cards at a discount price here, so be sure to check those out. They often do deals with local businesses. We buy here a lot and while the pizza line might be long at times, the associates are courteous and doing the best job they know how to do. They can't control who walks in the door any more than I can. Sometimes you can buy some very well-priced items (appliances are comparable to any other department store and some of the food items are cheaper here by comparison to local food stores even when the item is on "sale"). Their meat department is excellent and the selection is much better than Reasor's or Food Pyramid with comparable prices. Love the cheeses but there could be more of the bulk varieties. Nice convenience-food selections. Their clothes - not for me. I'm a big girl and Sam's doesn't carry big girl clothes that doesn't look like you're wearing a tent or misshapen rags. Music selection is pitiful. How much oldies or country music can you stand? Nothing new, motivating, hip or anything innovative. Just boring, boring, boring. Christmas items are good and I still have a HUGE roll of Christmas wrapping left over from 2 years ago! Can't find those type of rolls anywhere else in Tulsa or OK City. This is a great place to get quantities of everything you need in bulk. We come here a few times a month to get my foods for my husband's lunch and some other foods we keep in bulk. They have a wide array of bulk groceries and I love to stock up on the breakfast foods since that is one thing we always use. The store is well mapped and easy to find your way around. So I traveled all over town looking for a 10 pound jar of mayonnaise. Hot date. Don't ask for details. Anyway, NO ONE had one. I liked this gal, but I ain't buying 25 bottles of squeeze Miracle Whip when I can find the econo size at Sams - and it didn't let me down. If you ever need to buy a bottle of 50,000 aspirin or a 30 pound bag of pretzels, this is your place. They also sell cheese in boxes bigger than your average car. This is one of those situations where you have to evaluate the pros and cons of the membership costs. There are deals here - yes. Your shopping cart doesn't look like much at the checkout stand, but the bill is big because you have bought larger volume items. Many times I weighed the pros and cons of that 45 dollar yearly charge. BTW, when going through the checkout stand where someone does it for you rather than the self checkout, they always offer to upgrade some type of rewards for a little more money. Since our purchasing here is on the small scale, the extra upgrade money would eat that up. Why would they push that if it didn't benefit them more than me? Items I get here for savings include coffee, paper plates, frozen fish, chip dip, beef jerky, laundry soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and the main reason is the refills for the battery operated air fresheners - I have those spread throughout the house since I have pets. I agree with another reviewer that the rotisserie chicken is large and cooked just right. read more

The store itself isn't the issue, it's the people they put at the front and exit doors. Today while leaving the man at the door used his finger as if to beckon me to come closer, which, honestly is quite rude. I was about two feet away, there's no need for that. Then when I walked closer with my basket it was apparently TOO far for him, two steps to the right, and he grabbed my cart and pulled it back to him. Not a word from him the entire time, just some rude and aggressive gestures. read more

I went to the 41st and Sheridan location due to it being close to where I live. I went in and knew I had to renew my card; I had gone to the gas station a few weeks back and it said it was declined. I went to the member service desk to have a new card re-issued. Karla at the member service desk said I had been removed off this account and would need to be added back to the account. She said we could not have the card re-issued and did not offer to give me a day pass. I called the primary card holder to have this issue resolved. I then went back to Karla and she advised she could not resolve the issue over the phone and advised me how to resolve the issue online. She advised it would take until midnight for their system to update. Again did not offer a day pass. I then went to the 71st and Mingo location to see if this location could re-issue a new card as the primary card holder called this location to verify I could do that after being added back on the account. The member service rep at the 71st location had no problem whatsoever re-issuing me a new card. I would think, after working at Sam's Club for 15 years that Karla would have a better attitude or a better way of handling the situation. read more

Oh yeah, watch out for the Saturday "lunch buffet", where they cram a free sample table in every remaining open space in the grocery area, and the cart-leaners graze until they are ready for market. Well, I keep going back, I guess I can't give them just ONE star. read more

On Jan. 3, 2015 a took my 2008 Lexus in to get a new battery in the automotive department. While either removing the old battery or putting in the new one the tech Accidentally hit my radiator which resulted in a small crack. Sam's has refused to take responsibility for there error. Sam's claims they have the installation on video but, they are unable to let the public view. My car was just fine when it was taken there. Thirty minutes prior to this install I was looking under my hood at Auto Zone with a tech testing my battery and there was absolutely NO CRACK in my radiator. Drive home from Sam's and noticed something leaking on my driveway but, no they claim it did not happen while my care was in there automotive dept. Sam's may have a good price on a battery but, this one is going to cost me $ 900.00. read more
