This location doesn't seem as busy and chaotic as the Bloomington location. My sister and I went to grab a few things and store was decently stocked and organized. There wasn't anything in particular I was looking for this visit but they have some really cute fall clothes (sweaters), MN sports gear and such. Awful experience with a return. I gifted this teeth whitening kit to one of my daughter and item did not work as advertised and gadget fell apart at wiring near harness. I went to Sam's Club in Shakopee Minnesota where I was unable to pull my purchase history on the app and they were not able to find this purchase anywhere!!!! I was very surprised! Manager proceeded to tell me that my history would pull up if I would log onto there Wi-Fi which still didn't pull my purchase history. This item is very viewable in their website at $ 59.99 plus Tax. They gave me a gift card for $50 which made me irate. I proceeded to give them back the card and took my box which he had to pull out of the garbage! I am a palled that he didn't even try to correct it. Upon arrival we could just tell that Patty the team lead was not in the mood to be helping customers. She seemed irritated the whole time and even looked like she rolled her eyes when she saw us. She seemed rude to the people ahead of us too. Don't know if she was having a bad day or what but either way you don't take it out on the customers that are helping to pay your finances and keep this place in buisness. The restrooms are worst then a porta potty , crap every where in the men's room , some stalls don't even have working locks !! I only came here thinking it's way out here , it "must" be well off compare to those near the ghetto hood , I was wrong . The shelves are a mess , a lot of empty space . This is a difficult review for me because I love this store, this location, their staff (mostly). My problem is that the guy at their door yesterday who was checking memberships, was not wearing his mask properly. His nose was exposed, and with COVID-19, coronavirus, all experts say cover nose and mouth. The nose sheds A LOT of germs and virus when asymptomatic with COVID-19. MN law says cover nose & mouth with a mask when entering store. I mentioned to him his mask had slipped and he needed to cover his nose. I am sucker for this place for a few reasons: * Their polish dogs are reasonable and with a drink is still well under $2. * Their triple berry sundae is a treat * I can eat everything above when I drop my car off to for tires and/or jwindshield wipers(no they don't charge you extra for putting the wipers on for you). Yes, I am that lazy and don't to read direction how to put on a wiper. * My kids love their pizza. * I love the carry out service. It usually only cost $8-9 for a 16" pizza of any flavor: i.e. meat lovers. I can get them to bake 4-6 of them in 20-30 minutes...BEAT that dominoes or P. Johns! Just call they number and they will get it done in no time. * They take Discover card - Cost Co doesn't. * On Saturday/Sunday morning, you can try all their free samples...Yes, I still order the polish dogs afterwards...Yes, I am going to die here. Yes, you can argue that you can get that @ every Sam's Club...You might be right. Here is my point, this Sam club is right next door to a Walmart. I can hang out the food court here and watch TV while I wait on my car tire service, etc and my wife and kids walking around and buy stuff. I have zero issues with this location or Sam's in general. As a matter a fact, at numerous locations I have run into very helpful employees and managers. This location is closest to me so they get the bulk of my business. It's a whse club folks - no frills (especially during covid - ahh I long for the days when you'd see entire families having their lunch, feasting on free samples). Anyway, use their app for scan and go as that has been the best (and it does keep your receipts handy)! They cycle through items pretty regularly so you will get seasonal options. Fuel and liquor on-site too which is a plus. I tend to avoid Walmart when possible but will walk happily into a Sam's - this one in particular and usually taking advantage of the early member hours!!! read more

This Sam's club has decent people in it. The quality of service is sometimes lacking with little to no people in aisles to help members. The food that is served is okay, sometimes the churros are a little burnt. The ice cream is addictive and decent. The problem is a lack of open cashier lanes at times. Self checkouts have had issues such as not recognizing my card or not printing receipts. read more

I hate this store. This store has ill mannered and racist employees I was called the N word by one of the cashiers!! The store looked I was shopping in a factory. I feel so bad for those poor young cart guys I saw the manager yelling at them for "not being fast enough" and I happened to think they did a pretty good job. I got food poisoning from their hot dogs. Also their door greeter named Karen is usually rude to me as well and she yelled me saying that "we are closing in 30 minutes" and kicked me out the door. I like Sams Club Shakopee but the tire department is a bit of a joke. I had two sets of tires to replace and apparently inquiring about tires in the tire department is a bit of an inconvenience. If you can manage to get them to acknowledge your presence you deserve a medal. Returning phone calls is also not high on the priority list. A simple hello, we will be right with you goes a long way. Just ask your competitor across the parking lot. I changed my rating from 2 stars to 1 due to lack of any acknowledgement to review and my complaint in the store. I did go to Discount Tires and they rocked it. I am all about saving money and Discount Tires I am sure was competitive however Sams club couldn't take the time to even quote so who knows and really at this point who cares. I would gladly shell out money to get some service. Get it together Sams. Your employees are replaceable and should not not act bored on the job. The gas station attendants are treated poorly. Broken air conditioning gives them no relief on hot humid days. Just to momentarily step out of the toxic fumes and intense Minnesota heat in the summer would be great. Most of the attendants are elderly people. And, to use a bathroom they must walk about a 5th of mile roundtrip. While they are gone, there is no one to help customers-in-need. Imagine that 1/5th mile roundtrip walk in upcoming Minnesota's brutal winter weather. Sam's, you can do much better. read more

Best Gas Prices in the area!!! Sometime as much as 10 cents less then other places. Even less then Costco! Yes, sorry, you need a membership card but you an use any credit card at the pumps. You don't need a membership for the Pharmacy or Liquor store though. The Pharmacy is under new management and Dr Bill is very hard working, personable and will actually answer your questions and come out from behind the counter to help you find pharmacy items. So if you were previously disenchanted by the previous female manager like me, try using it now.. It's like a different pharmacy! Otherwise it's a Sam's club.. Big, good deals, very clean, nice employees and lots of stuff! In store they Only take visa, debit, cash or checks. read more

I have visited this store for many years with my mother. However, this last time I attended, I was very dissatisfied with the service here. My mother is immunocompromised, so she had me pick up her groceries to keep her safe from Coronavirus, using her Sam's and credit card. At the checkout, I had trouble with her card but the card terminal said approved, although I didn't receive a receipt. I got to the door and explained the situation to the woman working the exit, and she called an accounting lady named Nancy. Nancy chastised me for using my immunocompromised mother's card. I explained the situation and offered to recheckout my items and pay with a different card, but Nancy demanded she had to check out my items, seeming like she suspected me of stealing. Who steals water, bread, and lettuce?! If I was stealing, why would I offer to rescan everything? Nancy was so rude to me, and I know that if I was older, she would've been much more respectful. Shame on you Nancy, you don't know anything about my life or my situation. Shame on you for being rude to a young woman trying to help her endangered mother. read more

I always wonder why this place is very quiet and hardly anybody there as compared to Costco. Now I know. Why build all those checkout lines when you only have one or two of them open. I hate going through the self-checkout lines cuz there's always some reason that something won't scanned right or payment won't work right or something that you still have to get somebody over there to help you. And that's another issue getting someone to help you in any area is almost impossible. I always have a better shopping experience at Costco compared to the Sam's Club. Have been double-charged on many occasions when I have ordered through Sam's Club online. The clerk in the store, was absolutely the rudest person, I've ever come in contact with, in a retail setting, Asked her a question, she responded "we are open to the public!", well, great, later asked do you carry cupcake wines? NO!, not sorry we don't, etc. picked up 3 bottles of wine, 4 people ahead of me, several with bulging carts from Sam's adjoining store, I finally was next in line, my arm started to spasm, I set the bottles down on the counter, the clerk said, "Mam, don't do that!", I replied my arm, I can't hold them. she took them all, and moved them to her side of the counter, while she continued to ring up the sale, ahead of me......I am 77 , this woman was no spring chicken and if this is her customer service mode, she should be in another line of work, I, personally will not return to shop there again,.....the only thing she didn't do, is slap my fingers with a ruler! read more

I decided to renew my membership at the Mpls Home and Garden Show and get a 10.00 gift card on Fri., Feb 28. Today, Mon., March 3, I see my checking account has been charged twice. After calling 3 different phone numbers, talking to 8 people, I have to send them my bank statement so "asset Mgr" can access it. WTF .. no problem charging me twice but a huge problem refunding me? NOT worth the gift card!!! An hour and probably 45 bucks I'll never get back. But, hey, thanks for the gift card (wonder if it will work). read more

Today I went to Sam's club with an expired cash back refund check of just $13. I stopped at the Customer service desk. I told them it was my first rebate check & I did not realize I had let it expire. Was there anything they could do? A nice gentleman said that it should still work because it was within 90 days of expiration. "Go do your shopping and if you run into a problem -- let me know." They rang up my $280 in groceries but refused to apply the rebate. I stopped back at customer service -- just to let him know that they said absolutely nothing could be done. Again the gentleman said -- we should be able to run it through. After 10 minutes of discussion between several different employees and several calls -- the gal behind the desk said that they couldn't help me. The nice gentleman kept saying that it didn't make sense not to give me a refund when I was spending almost $300 more on that trip alone. He suggested just adjusting my bill -- again the gal behind the desk said No. He was obviously uncomfortable with the service and apologized to me for the wasted time. The gal simply shrugged her shoulders, but then said that if I called, Synchrony Bank they would be able to reissue the check. I thought -- fair enough. 2 calls later -- at least 15 minutes trying to navigate the automated phone system -- I finally got an agent. He said, we don't reissue expired cash back checks. Sorry you got bad information, but have a good night. I cancelled my Sam's Club Master Card. The ONLY perk is the rebate and with zero customer service -- it just isn't worth it. read more

Sam's Club isn't the worst place to shop at, but they are constantly understaffed, and this has led to a serious problem which the store is unwilling to take responsibility for. My wife and I were just making a quick stop one breezy Saturday, and all seemed well until we came out 10 minutes later to find a cart had smashed into the back of our van and dented it significantly. It seemed at first like they were going to help us, and they took our info and noted the details of the situation, such as random carts strewn about the parking lot. They told us that we would be contacted about a few days later by their insurance company. Two weeks later, we are finally contacted and given the message that they are not willing to help with the damages, because they felt their shopping-cart cleaning standards were up to par. They also mentioned their camera being aimed the wrong direction. Both store and insurance company are too cheap to keep a good customer. Better service at Costco. read more
