What impressed me was also that he spent close to 2 hours with her at a very reasonable fee. Since bringing this family member to Dr. Kophn I have spoken with another former patient of his who also had good things to say about him. If you see him, don't become annoyed if you end up waiting a little in the reception area. This is one doctor who watches the patient not the time clock.

Dr. Das spent all of 3 minutes with me reviewing the results of my MRI (which I already knew) . We were surprised to receive a notice from the stroke center asking us to make an appointment with Dr. Cutting, who is a vascular neurologist. Surprisingly, we were able to get a fairy quick appointment, which is remarkable considering some specialists have long wait times. The night before the appointment we were both nervous as to what we might find, but as it turned out, the trip was a big waste of time. While Dr. Cutting seemed like a nice enough lady, she didn't tell us anything more than what my wife's regular neurologist or primary care doctor could have. To me it seemed like a money grab from Lifespan,the parent company of the hospital. I'm willing to bet if we had Medicaid or no insurance, that letter would never have gone out. That's an hour and 25 dollars that we will never get back. To top it off, the RIH campus is tough to navigate due to lack of parking and lengthy walks for someone who is disabled. I would only recommend this practice if you had no other options.
