In my experience, he is very skilled at what he does, and holds his work to a high standard, even taking the time to educate and explain, and get things just right. Rather than just fix the problem, he goes beyond to fix some of the causes of the problem. Dr. Cocchetto and his staff are friendly and always professional, which means a lot to me.

We saw reviews on Yelp for this nearby dentist and decided to come on in. I am a huge dental-chicken but I will definitely be going here after I witness how they treated my mom. The work was quick, excellent and priced fair. What I really liked were how nice the people were! Every single person that you have to interact with were kind, knowledgeable and understanding. The actual office environment is very inviting & bright with books and artifacts to put you at ease. I found the music to be a bit loud in the waiting room but I'm sure if I said something they would have toned it down. DDS, Ray McKinley wrote a fascinating book; you can read it or purchase it while you are in the office.

Then they did all kinds of procedures that I didn't approve of - thousands of dollars of work was recommended. I told them I didn't approve any of these procedures done. I was given a credit and later had a tooth filled and a different tooth pulled. So the credit I had was used up. I went to a new Dentist this week they did X-rays etc and found two teeth that need to be removed and recommended another Dental Surgeon which I met with today. The charges for the two teeth is going to be less than I paid for one with McKinley. So in closing - the prices of McKinley is way to high and appear to only want to do expensive procedures. Very disappointing. I will say this the Dentist did do a good job as far as the removal of the tooth. Unfortunately the tooth she filled is now one of the teeth that will have to be pulled so I wasted a lot of money having it filled.

It's been about 2 years since I have seen the doctor because I moved away but what I recall is only pleasant. The hygienist is always super friendly and thorough. The doctor is very good at what he does and listens to the concerns of his patients. The office is clean and the equipment appears well-maintained. I recommend Dr. Parthum and his staff for your teeth.

My beau's bright, solid smile owes much to Doctor Smith and his hygienists for performing all the routine work that comes through childhood to adulthood. The Woodward Avenue office is in the large medical complex on the southbound side of the street, complete with ample parking that never fills up unless it's Dream Cruise or Arts, Beats, and Eats. His office is right inside the front door, and the waiting room is a pleasantly decorated area complete with more magazines than the Huntington Woods public library. None of the cluttered areas or bland, sterile white walls here. I spent Labour Day Sunday curled up in a chair with my Kindle during an emergency appointment. The practice itself doesn't have lots of extra frills like digital screens on the wall and swishy frosted glass. That's a-okay by my book because the dentist has all the modern tools and equipment needed to do good work. It's a bright space nonetheless, and I would feel comfortable having dental work done in the chair. Nothing worse than a creepy yellowing room that looks like a vacuum hasn't gone through in two decades, and fortunately nothing of the sort is to be found here. Doctor Smith, however, earns four stars for being a genuinely caring and friendly man. He's known my boyfriend's family for decades and followed up after the now adult kids at an unplanned visit on the weekend. My beau suffered excruciating tooth pain and gum swelling on a Friday night that Anbesol and ibuprofin weren't cutting. We looked high and low for any 24/7 dental care or emergency drop-in clinics to no avail; short of emergency we seemed out of luck. Doctor Smith was celebrating his son's wedding on Saturday night, and the earliest anywhere had an appointment was Tuesday. Dental pain for three days? Yeah, no. A call on a Sunday morning got us in within 30 minutes. The soul of kindness itself, Doctor Smith came in shorts, got smocked up, and soon sorted out the cause of misery: a nasty gum infection. Two prescriptions for painkillers and antibiotics later, and one very appreciated shot of novocaine, and all was good as gold. Throughout, I was impressed by his calm and personable demeanor as he explained what was going on, chatted, and didn't try to ask too many questions to a patient with his mouth cranked open. I really liked the seatside manner of this dentist, and I highly recommend him. Not only did he whip right over, he's had an established relationship with many patients in his practice for years and if they're satisfied customers, that says a lot.
