On offer here is the standard Brazilian BBQ experience. The waiters bring you various skewers of…read moredifferent meats for as long as your card is turned to green. Need a break? Turn it to red. The building is lovely, architecturally at least. The interior decor wasn't so great. There's nothing particularly wrong with it, just nothing particularly right either. It's a great space which could have had a really nice Brazilian themed feel, but it's just got some square black tables and generic leather chairs partnered with inoffensive piped music. It could be any restaurant anywhere. The menu online looked really good buy I felt like it failed to live up to its potential. We visited on a Wednesday evening and it wasn't very busy, which perhaps didn't help. The buffet dishes would have been really good but they hadn't been refreshed, the things which should have been hot no longer were and some of the things which were meant to be cold were obviously flagging a little. Perhaps on a busy night this is better but for us it wasn't great, and as my girlfriend is vegetarian this was her entire meal. You could argue this isn't really a place for vegetarians, and I would agree. The real draw of Brazilian BBQ is the lure of endless varied meats and here is no exception. The meats were mostly pretty good, nicely cooked and well infused with various seasonings and marinades. A couple of chicken offerings were the exception to the rule, I don't know what they had been subjected to before arriving on my plate but they were hard enough to throw through the living room window of someone you don't like. Certainly more than a match for my dentistry. Full BBQ menu was £23, vegetarian option £11. We had a drink each and no dessert and spent just over £40. I left full but not feeling like it represented good value for money, nor particularly compelled to return.

The meat was good (although a few bits under-done), the salads not bad and the cocktails very well done - finally a barman who can make a decent caiprinha! - The only downside was the rice, which had stood for too long and was lacking garlic, and the lack of treats like Pão de Queijo. The service was excellent. Some of the waiting staff were clearly new, but very attentive and prompt. I'll certainly be going back - the management seem very keen to improve and I am sure they'll only get better.

The venue itself is massive, which to be honest doesn't make for the best atmosphere as it always seems empty (how do they stay open, it really does always seem empty, the rent must be huge). My wife loves that she can talk in her native tongue as the staff are mostly Brazilian which helps, and they don't take the piss when I give my Portuguese a whirl which I always appreciate The food itself consists of a salad buffet along with a hot buffet that when u get there and it's fresh is great. Brazilian beans are a particular fave but don't overdo the carbs, you are saving room for the meat!!! The meat comes in waves of different types, carved at your table. If you haven't tried Brazilian meat, it's well worth it although some cuts are definitely better than others. The good thing is u can l try as many as you want for the £19.95 which is quite pricey but you will leave stuffed! A selection of traditional Brazilian deserts are available although I'm not massively into these, plus I'm normally too full anyway! Well worth a visit, just probably avoid at the weekends evenings as with a pretty unfortunate west street location I'm sure you have a parade of knob ends staggering past the windows!

The food was really good and there was some interesting options. The waitress told me they change the buffet menu from time to time, so I would definitely come back. I was surprise they charged that amount for a meal, since the place seems to be a fancy dining experience. Very few people during lunchtime - maybe because it was a rare sunny day in Brighton and everyone was at the beach but me?? Possibly. Anyway, the staff were friendly and the place is super big and perfect for big groups.
