I was in town for my destination wedding and in search of a place where I could get my dress steamed. Sam Wing was the third place I called (since the other three were booked), and perhaps the nicest and calmest person answered the phone. I was frazzled, rushed, and desperate, and she calt told me that they would be able to assist and not to "rush", which is what I really needed to hear during that hectic time. I arrived and was promptly greeted, but the lady (whose name I forgot, sadly) said that she would be able to steam my dress and my partners suit. She indicated that her neice recently got married in New Orleans, and how beautiful the weddings are there. I mentioned how stressed I was due to all the rain, but she assured me that it would pass, and my wedding would be beautiful (and it was). She then took my items and literally was able to have them ready by the next day, assuring me not to worry. She definitely delivered, and our garments were ready and looked perfect! She definitely did an amazing job, and the price wasn't insanely bad, either. For those of you who may be in town or in need of a great place to get your special items dry-cleaned and/or steamed, I highly recommend Sam Wings. Not to mention, the customer service is amazing! This is an amazing dry cleaner in New Orleans. Ms. Linda was a pleasure to work with. I needed my work clothes (a suit, blouse, and slacks) cleaned with a quick turnaround for a business trip to New York. Ms. Linda advised me to drop them off on Wednesday before 8 AM and to pick them up on Saturday before my flight on Sunday. To my surprise, they were ready a day early! Really one of the best dry cleaners in the city. They pay attention to detail, clothes come back as I expect them and the people who run this operation are really nice. Some items are very expensive to clean, like a gown or tuxedo, but dry cleaning tends to be extremely expensive in New Orleans as compared to other major cities. They have a small parking lot in front of the store and they watch it like a hawk for their customers because there is an extremely popular restaurant two doors down. Great dry cleaner but has challenging hours for the working professional. They are open on weekdays from 8am to 4pm. Well, given that I have to be at work at 8am and go home by 5pm, the only time I can do business with these folks is on Saturday, making the turnaround time for my dry cleaning a whole week. This is kind of a shame because the owners are extremely nice, do a great job, and charge a fair price. I walked in for the first time and was immediately greeted by a wonderful upbeat knowledgeable professional and she is also the owner of the store . I had some concerns pertaining to some stains I had in my garments . I was totally reassured that they would do the very best they could with my items and that was a bullseye . when I returned to pick up my cleaning my shirts looked like they were just bought from the store . After being kicked out of Joe's Cleaners on St. Bernard(never go to Joe's) I was greeted with respect and great customer service. They have same day service which is what I needed. My sister and I needed our dresses cleaned for a funeral 2 days away and they let us bring in our dresses an hour after they closed so that we would have them back in time.
