First of all, the first time is indeed $39, but every visit thereafter is $40 (unless you bought a maintenance plan instead of paying per visit). I remember my first time going great. I was gonna pay $40, get my adjustments, and get some relief. Everything was going great until the sales pitch began. Its basically "healing takes time and you need maintenance visits to achieve that". I didnt bite, so paid $39 and left. Relief though, was temporary. I came back a few weeks later to get another adjustment. In and out in 10 mins, $40. But this time, I somehow felt mixed emotions when leaving the clinic cuz I just paid somebody $40 for 10 mins of work for temporary relief!! Im not sure if every chiro visit is as short as I experienced this 2nd time around, but didnt feel I quite got my bang for the buck. Nothing extraordinary compared to the chiro I saw in Taiwan, which was an hour-long massage/adjustment head-to-toe for $20. Sam is really a nice person, he tells you the truth. I purchased the first visit for my bf as a gift. He has really bad lower back problem, basically he is in pain every day. He tried another chiropractor before Sam, the chiropractor told him he can fix it, however after 2 months, no improvements!
