Before moving to LA, I studied acting at a conservatory in college where I got my BA in theatre arts, yet in the very first year of studying with Don I truly believe I learned more with him and grew far more as an actor than I did during my years at theatre school. The Meisner technique is gold - and so is Don. If you're looking for a teacher to blow smoke up your ass and tell you what a great job you've done when the credit isn't due, he isn't the guy for you. But if you're looking for a teacher who will push you to do your absolute best with completly honest feedback and a passion for you to become the best actor you can possibly be, then he is your guy. A few fun facts: - Don studied directly under Sanford Meisner. - I've watched actors in my class grow immensely. From day one thinking "Acting isn't really their thing" to now watching their work and thinking "Holy shit. They're going to win an award one day" It's pretty incredible to think where we started and where we are now. -His classes are some of the most affordable in town. -I've also taken many other classes in LA and Hollywood, and nothing ever compares.

As an actor, I've taken many classes in and around LA and Hollywood and nothing (not even some of the big names) compare to Don's personal and vulnerable classes. In 2 years I have learned more about myself and my craft than I did after 5+ years of performing arts classes. Our class is not just a class; it's a family. Don is not only incredibly insightful on each and every actor's personalities and blocks, but has the talent to push students towards their best selves. Having studied under Sanford Meisner himself, he really knows the craft inside and out. Unlike most Meisner classes, he also shows you how to apply the teachings to important aspects like cold-readings, auditioning, and TV scripts. In today's industry, that is extraordinarily important. You can tell from day 1 that Don Bloomfield is extraordinarily passionate about what he does, and cares for each and every student in profound ways. He will go above and beyond to make sure you keep improving. He will NEVER give up on you. At the end of the day, this man is inspiring. He is a gifted teacher. After my 2 year program, I joined the masterclass... I can't wait to thank Don Bloomfield when I accept my Oscar one day ;)

Robby changed all that for me and got me excited again about auditioning for commercials. In the first class he focused on the technique behind preparing a great audition but also the mindset you should have as an actor to stay energized in this branch of the industry. I could notice myself (and others) getting better each week. Robby created an environment where we could play and have fun while also giving a performance that was authentic to the individual. I would highly recommend these classes and Robby. I'm continuing through their series and excited to continue growing

The Commercial Class has been an outstanding experience so far! I enrolled a few weeks ago in the…read moreintroductory class with Joy Lofton and it has already exceeded my expectations. After taking a break from acting for a few years, I'm now in the process of getting new headshots and looking for representation. I wanted to ease back into commercial acting and this class seemed like the perfect way to do that. Before signing up, I wasn't confident in my commercial technique or auditioning skills, but I also worried the class might be too basic since I've taken several others before over the years. From the very first class, Joy provided invaluable insights that immediately helped improve our work. She broke down how to approach and deliver copy in a way that made sense. As a working commercial actress and session director, she has likely seen thousands of auditions, and her expertise shows in every piece of feedback she gives. She knows exactly how to redirect actors to deliver their best performance with kindness and clarity. Unlike some teachers in this town who berate actors in narcissistic fits of rage, Joy is the complete opposite. She creates a supportive environment, starting each audition scenario by reminding us to breathe and center ourselves before diving into the material. Personally, I started off feeling apprehensive and unsure, but now I feel significantly more confident in making stronger choices without second-guessing myself. Overall, this class covers everything you need to succeed, from slating to self-taping, and I would 100% recommend it to anyone looking to learn or refine their commercial acting skills!

I was thrilled to have an opportunity to learn from someone that currently works in the business. I went from only a log line to a 35 page sitcom script that I'm elated with in 2 months. It's an enormous amount of work, but if you're willing to put in the effort, Jackie will be there with you every step of the way. She teaches invaluable tools of comedy that help you develop a solid pitch document, outline and finally the script. I learned a ton in a short amount of time. The focus is always on how her teachings apply to your own writing and what you can do to make your ideas come to life. Along with Jackie, I was also lucky to have a fun, talented and supportive group of writers in the class to share the experience with along the way. I feel I now have the skills to write more sitcom pilots and infuse comedy in all my writing, if I so choose. I wouldn't have been able to say that with any confidence before this class.
