Despite multiple emails and voicemails--most of which have gone unanswered--I've received almost no communication. Erin spoke with me once during my initial outreach and seemed open to working with my insurance, but since then has consistently ignored my follow-ups. Even my care advocate has tried reaching out and hasn't heard back. Every few weeks I get a brief response, only to be ghosted again. At one point, Erin offered to remind me of the pricing--when I agreed, I never heard back. I had high hopes for this practice and have been transparent about how important these services are to me. But the lack of communication and follow-through has made it clear that patient care is not a priority here. I'd recommend looking for a practice with dedicated staff who can actually support new patients through the onboarding process.

I came here because I was having trouble with some communication speech issues after a concussion. I learned so much about my own brain worked and what could be done to help. It was a fun process getting my brain to rewire its communication. They use a variety of games and things to watch while I was hooked up to the equipment and I found it relaxing and fun. The professionalism and the level of caring for the patients is great and the team here will help you with your brain goals whether it is better learning and retention with school or recovery after any kind of injury, they do a great job.

The place is disgusting and the people working there are incompetent, overworked, understaffed and because they have to hurry they can't take care of your loved one. There is no doctor on site, new patients don't get seen for over a week. When my loved one passed away in this facility after a week staying there, someone called in incomprehensibly English to tell me that she "expired" When I came to pick up her belongings, they didn't say anything, not even condolences. They just gave me a plastic garbage bag with her clothes, glasses and phone... It was one of the most shocking experiences in my whole life and I am a nurse who has seen many rehabilitation places, assisted living facilities and nursing homes. I'm surprised that place didn't get shut down and that people allow the elderly to be treated like that.

It's not dirty in appearance unless you're spending a good deal of time there on your visits. For example, I opened my family member's drawer and found roaches. The staff didn't seem embarrassed, just told me to alert maintenance as if I worked there. Conveniently, maintenance doesn't work weekends. It was very hurtful and inconsiderate. When they saw that I was getting ready to take photos, they acted on getting rid on the nastiness.

The Best IBCLC Ever -- Julie Changed My Whole Breastfeeding Journey…read more I cannot say enough amazing things about Julie. With my first baby, I had to exclusively pump due to a tongue tie already released, and the constant pumping and bottle washing while sleep-deprived traumatized me. When I was pregnant with my second, I wanted so badly to nurse--but by day 4 postpartum, I was crying alongside my screaming baby because I just could not get her to latch. I felt like a complete failure all over again. I paid the travel fee for an in-home visit, and Julie was worth every single penny and more. She walked in and got my baby to latch right away! Her calm, knowledgeable presence instantly shifted everything (I'm sure she could tell I'd been crying minutes before). Her social media content is incredibly helpful no matter where you are in your feeding journey, but having her in person was life-changing. Even though I needed a nipple shield (the one she provided which was better than the hospital's!) for 4 months and my supply was just enough, I was able to nurse for 13 whole months while going back to full-time work at 4 months postpartum--something I never imagined possible as a mom who only knew exclusive pumping and tongue ties. I credit that entirely to Julie. She gave me hope, confidence, and the practical guidance I desperately needed. Julie, I hope you know the work you do truly makes a difference. I refer every mom I know who wants breastfeeding support to you. You are the best IBCLC ever!

Her knowledge is incredible, but what really sets her apart is her compassion and ability to meet you exactly where you are -- emotionally, physically, and mentally. Julie helped me navigate latching issues, supply concerns, and all the emotional ups and downs that come with early breastfeeding which made such a difference in my confidence as a new mom. Thanks to her, breastfeeding became not just manageable but actually a bonding, positive experience for me and my baby. Julie is a true gem, and I can't recommend her enough to any parent needing guidance and gentle, expert care.

But I felt so intimated by my new machine. I ticked it away for years but I saw an email for a Moving Thread beginner 4-week workshop. 3 hours each session. Last night was class 1 of 4. My class was six ladies aged from mid 20s to late 60s. One never sewed. Two hand sewed. And two of us used machines 20 and 30 years ago and one lady had a machine and used it but felt intimidated. So we were all pretty nervous about our fledgling sewing skills. But the class was paced perfectly and by the end of our first class we successfully completed beautiful reversible totes! The workshop is $550 and it's a great value: project 1 tote, project 2 zipper pouch, project 3 pants (two classes). Our instructor was warm, friendly, funny, knowledgeable, helpful. My only drawback are the chairs. They're not comfortable for me and my leg felt like it wanted to go numb. No one else seemed uncomfortable so maybe it's just me. I'll try a seat cushion to see if it'll help. I brought my machine with me so I could learn how to use it but my husband actually bought the same Heavy Duty Singer sewing machine provided in the class for student use. All the equipment, accessories, fabric needed is provided by the class. You only need to show up. No good or drink allowed in classroom but water is okay. Be sure to enter the rear entrance let the instructions in your student information email. Because to show up on time. Basically no make classes. So if you sign up be sure you're schedule is free for the specified time period. If you're thinking of taking a quick afternoon class or a full workshop I highly recommend you give Moving Thread a try. The instructor we had last night has her own fashion label and is highly knowledgeable but gave us very easy instructions that us newbies could follow. The was patient with our foibles and created an atmosphere of grace and fun. I look forward to my to rest of classes Eventually I look forward to trying the advanced class offerings too. I've hit my eye on the alterations class.
