Late August 2024. I had a horrible case of Vertigo. I had…read moreit two years ago...was treated and it never resurfaced until two weeks ago. I had the same treatment as two years ago but the dizziness didn't subside. It was somewhat better but really too debilitating to live a normal life. I finally went to Cedars Marina Del Rey Emergency. After doing many tests they admitted me to the hospital. My assigned doctor was John Joseph Pack MD. I did have the Epley Maneuver done at the hospital and I was getting some relief but after five days Dr. Pack wanted me to come here to build up my strength to enable me to go home. I was quite hesitant to come here because of the reviews I had read. But as soon as I was wheeled in (on a gurney) I felt comfortable. There was a pleasant scent to this facility. It was spotlessly clean and bright. I was put in a room and felt very comfortable being here. Over the next few days I met so many of their staff...RN's, CNA's, dietician's, a pharmacist, PT therapists, executive staff members and others. Every single one of them made me feel welcome and happy to be here. I have been pampered by so many wonderful people here. They truly are lovely carrying individuals. And it's quiet at night. The food here is adequate. I don't have much of an appetite any more and this facility does a good job with the three meals being served daily and snacks also. REVIEW UPDATED Sept 16, 2024: I have now been here close to three weeks and I am changing my opinion of the food. NOT ADEQUATE. Something is always missing from the tray. It could be a knife. Or the printed menu shows a roll and butter. Sometimes no butter sometimes both are missing. The main dishes are described beautifully but that's not what you get. A hoagie Philly style with cheese, onions and peppers. Only no onions and peppers. And it was on a slice of white bread. Or a tuna sandwich with a plate of lettuce and tomato. No lettuce or tomato. Toast with eggs in the morning with butter and jelly. Sometimes you will get the butter other times nothing. A side of coleslaw never came, the cooked meats are cremated...dried out. One dish was turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy. No gravy. I keep asking for packets of ketchup and mustard so I can make a sauce myself. With that being said I'm keeping the rating at five stars. And that's because of the people working here. They are incredible. And I needed to lose a few pounds anyway. So put your worries to rest. This place is amazing. I highly recommend it when and if it is needed.

Do not send your family or loved ones to this unskilled non-nursing facility. I have never seen…read moreanything like this. The place is disgusting and the people working there are incompetent, overworked, understaffed and because they have to hurry they can't take care of your loved one. There is no doctor on site, new patients don't get seen for over a week. When my loved one passed away in this facility after a week staying there, someone called in incomprehensibly English to tell me that she "expired" When I came to pick up her belongings, they didn't say anything, not even condolences. They just gave me a plastic garbage bag with her clothes, glasses and phone... It was one of the most shocking experiences in my whole life and I am a nurse who has seen many rehabilitation places, assisted living facilities and nursing homes. I'm surprised that place didn't get shut down and that people allow the elderly to be treated like that.

Their progress has been nothing short of remarkable--far exceeding what we experienced with previous therapists. Mariah is our fifth speech therapist, and she's truly the most effective we've ever had. In just six weeks, she's helped our children more than any of the others, some of whom worked with them for 1-2 years at a time. I'm so grateful we found Kyra, and that she connected us with Mariah--she is an absolute gem! The entire experience has been fantastic. What I love most is how supportive and compassionate Mariah is. Her deep commitment and genuine care for our children's speech improvement is something truly rare these days. It's clear she's deeply motivated to see them progress, and she makes learning fun for them. This means the world to us. We've been so impressed that we've decided to increase their sessions from once a week to two or three times for quicker progress. Mariah also noticed my willingness to help and thoughtfully suggested compiling homework for me to work on with the kids between sessions--a wonderful extra touch. I have complete trust in her expertise and guidance. Mariah will forever be our favorite speech therapy angel. Thank you!

From the beginning, he took the time to really listen and understand what I was going through. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and is deeply committed to helping them get better. He has a great balance of honesty and motivation. He's straightforward about the work that needs to be done, but he encourages you in a way that makes you feel supported every step of the way. His calm energy also makes you feel heard and immediately puts you at ease. The entire environment here is also incredibly warm and welcoming. The therapists clearly know each other well and have real relationships with one another, which creates such a positive and supportive atmosphere. You can feel that sense of community the moment you walk in. If you're looking for a hand therapist who is knowledgeable, patient and truly invested in your recovery, Paul is someone you'll be very grateful to work with.

Highly recommend this practice!…read more Following surgery for a fractured scaphoid bone in my wrist, my surgeon referred me to Hands On OT. I was assigned to work with Lori, who was excellent -- experienced, knowledgeable and informative. She helped me improve my strength, flexibility, and movement in my hand/wrist/fingers, using heat, exercises, and cold. I went 2x/week for several months before eventually tapering down to 1x/week. I kept requesting my doctor's office renew my OT order because I found the guidance there so helpful, and the atmosphere so friendly. (All the staff seemed equally caring and skillful.) Note: This small homey office is located in a converted ground floor apartment of a vintage 2-story apartment building (about a block from the Santa Monica beach, south of Pico Blvd.) I was always able to find a metered parking space within about a 5-min walk for my apointments (Mon-Thur afternoons.)
