We set up one on one classes with a photography instructor and it was absolutely amazing. His caregiver said that she had never seen him as animated and talkative as after his class. They offer all kinds of art lessons, in groups or one on one. I think they also offer music lessons. It's a fantastic organization for anyone of any skill level who wants to learn more and explore their creative side. I highly recommend them.

They were friendly and accommodating in case I needed to switch to a future workshop. Luckily, I was able to make it, the class was SO FUN! Once upon a time, I took a painting class at a place that shall remain unnamed. I left with a…read moredecent-looking painting but didn't feel confident that my painting skills had improved. In fact, I felt like I would probably never paint again. Fast forward a couple of years to my mom asking me if I would be interested in taking a class at The Art Mill. I was hesitant for a couple of reasons, including the distance from Lebanon to my home in West Nashville and traveling back home in the evening (I'm an old-lady-home-body-type of person now) and most of all the above mentioned previous experience with painting. But my mom can be rather convincing, and I signed up for a class. My experience at The Art Mill was fantastic! I didn't realize it at the time, but my artist instructor is the owner of the business. Scott quickly put my fears at ease with his step-by-step method. He took the time to show us a step, then walk around to give suggestions, encouragement and assistance on each person's paintings without me feeling like he was just doing it all for me. Scott also took my color choices into consideration so that I could match my guest room, even though they were slightly different than the ones specified for the painting. My painting came out beautiful, unique and all my own. I felt so confident about my painting that I had it framed by Scott before leaving and hung the painting in my guest room as soon as I got home that evening, despite it being a late hour for this old lady. I can truly say that I am proud to show off my evening of artistic creativity. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to The Art Mill and envisioning other works for art throughout my home.

Childish UPDATE: Soon after posting reviews, a refund was provided. Along with a message on Facebook full of attitude blaming ME for not calling during business hours. Which I did, and even waited 15 minutes after opening time. And I left a message. She also ranted about how she hasn't had issues with other people rescheduling. So, you know, it's all my fault even though I emailed her broken website (contact us function didn't work), messaged more than 3 separate times on Facebook AND called, leaving a message. It's really unfortunate, so many others seem to love this place. We would have loved that experience too. Our homeschool group scheduled classes, and we all prepaid. Totally fine. My kids were sick, and I will not expose others on purpose. I was told we could reschedule; my kids were really looking forward to that. Since then, I've done the "contact us" on her website which doesn't seem to be functioning. I've messaged her MULTIPLE times on Facebook, she responded the first time and hasn't since, but it shows the messages are read. I've left a voicemail asking again for the reschedule or a refund of the $45. She still has my money, and we didn't get the class nor the ornaments that came with it. My kids are disappointed, and I just want my money back.

We loved every minute of it!…read more I bought two groupons for this place for a night my fiancé and I get bored and can't find anything to do. So on Monday, we finally decided to go. At first he wasn't thrilled about the idea but I forced him to come with me since I didn't want to waste our tickets. The class starts on time and 3 hours later, we were sad it was over! My fiancé actually got into it! They walk you through all the steps so there is really no way you could mess the painting up. It's not meant for artists. It's meant for people who've never painted before. Our instructor was really enthusiastic and was VERY patient. We had an older woman sitting across us who was over thinking and kept asking the instructor to fix her painting. I was annoyed but the assistant and the instructor were so patient and kind to her. You can bring alcohol so that obviously made it more fun for us too! this is such a good date night or a night with your friends. Check their calendar and the time allotted for each painting because the time it takes to finish one varies. It also gets really busy on that street so get there early! Eat somewhere at Lenox village instead. Traffic around that area is horrible! Great great experience! We loved it!
