Is this a Circle K yet? I can't find the sign says Circle K. Oh, wait. It's on my receipt and…read moreclerks uniform. Ok. I'll be patient. I'm here often because it's near my favorite HEB and Kroger stores. I don't want to go home stranded on the freeway with an empty tank. The prices are similar to HEB fuel station about half mile away. Staff is much friendlier and attentive than other Valero stations around Houston. Oh wait. It's Circle K now. It will take me a while to change my mentality for Circle K. I swear, everywhere I see is Valero. I really hoping they don't jump gun so fast. Valero pages are replaced by Circle K. But when you come to a Valero. Same ad with Google Map app. So, as of today May 21, 2018, this location is still a Valero gas station with Corner Store as a convenient store. If anything changes, I'll update you on that. **34th review of 2018**

This Circle K on Bunker Hill, right across from St. Cecilia Catholic Church and just down the road…read morefrom the Katy Freeway, is a solid neighborhood convenience store and gas station. The store has a pretty large selection of snacks, drinks, refrigerated items, and the usual convenience store basics. They also have some hot food like pizza and hot dogs depending on the time of day, plus lottery tickets, nicotine pouches, cigarettes, and other typical gas station items. There are around eight gas pumps, and while the gas usually isn't the cheapest around, the prices are pretty fair for a neighborhood station in this area. It stays surprisingly busy throughout most of the day, but the staff is usually quick and the line inside rarely gets too long. Overall, it's a decent and convenient neighborhood gas station. Nothing particularly special, but it's reliable, well stocked, and an easy place to stop if you're in the Bunker Hill area.

It never fails to amaze me... I'm about to drive home after work when I realize I went the entire…read moreday without filling up my gas tank. The light came on this morning on the way to work, but I told myself as long as the needle is above the 'E' mark, I'll be fine. I make it to work and I go through the whole day without thinking about filling up my gas tank. I may have even left the office for a brief bit for lunch and yet I still didn't fill up the gas tank. So it's the end of the work day and I'm ready to go home, or go to meet up with friends, or go to work out, or whatever... the point is I have to be somewhere... and then I realize the FREAKING LIGHT IS STILL ON THE NEEDLE IS RIDING THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE 'E' MARK AND NOW I REALLY REALLY REALLY F@#$@#IN NEED GAS. Thank goodness for this Shell station on the way home just off I-10. You have saved me on more than one occasion from being THAT GUY. It's like that scene in Jean Claude Van Damme's Bloodsport... where JCVD is giving advice to his buddy who's about to fight the big bad asian guy. Frank Dux: Go for the gut. He's soft there. Ray Jackson: What the hell are you talking about? Frank Dux: Chong Li's weak in the gut. That's how Parades surprised him. Victor: [nods curtly with a look of grim encouragement] Frank Dux: Hey. You listening to me? Go for the stomach. And stay away from his right leg. Ray Jackson: Will you stop worrying, Frankie? I've got it under control. You sound like my mother. Man alive. Yeah... like that.... only I need to be told to not wait so long to fill my gas tank or else I will be opposite a large man in a fight to the death in Hong Kong with an empty gas tank.

The pumps are arranged in rows of 3, and it can be really frustrating when people don't pull forward to the middle spot. I dislike having to parallel park at the gas station.
