First time here with my friends. Such a cute place, they have EVERYTHING you needed for art supplies, and frames. Everything is organized, staffs are so sweet as well! Perfect for getting bday gifts or if you want to cute little souvenirs:)

One of my favorite go-to art & stationery shops! I can't resist stopping by every month--there's always something new and cute to add to my collection. A true paradise for artist and stationery lovers!

1st time visit for a watercolor painting class :) So glad I did! I had a different expectation on how the class would be instructed (was more "self taught" in my opinion) but nonetheless such an enjoyable experience! It was nice to spend some time by myself just zoning in and letting the art flow! I didn't have a chance to browse the store itself but it looked beautiful. Both the instructor and the employee I interacted with were very nice and helped me feel very welcomed :) I'd love to come back for some more classes!

I like Sam Flax. If you have a creative spirit, then you will also like Sam Flax. But... if you have creative spirit and need materials for your creation, then Sam Flax is a must. They have everything needed for artistic expression, and I mean everything, too much to enumerate here. Also, they have been open during this pandemic, so they are available for those last minute or in-person purchases. I come here sporadically to gather tools, notepads, draft books, pencils, rulers, just stuff for one of my hobbies: drawing.

Leaving some local love for my favorite art store. I've been coming here for a long time and nothing's changed. They're still the coolest art store in town. I love supporting a small business normally but especially during this pandemic it's so important to show your small business community love. Why go to target or Walmart (large corps) and risk not finding the supplies you need/want? You can come here and literally find everything and more. I drove here today and treated myself to a mom art supply spree for Mother's Day. I found everything I needed and more. They also have all types of art inspired Knick knacks perfect for gifts. You simply can't miss their business as there is local art adoring the walls outside. Bada** at that!!! As far as Covid 19 goes not only were all the employees wearing mask they were kind enough to have a table with mask and hand sanitizer available for people who needed it. Oh and I can't help but mention that they have awesome prices and if your a college student they offer a discount.

My fellow Yelpers (Lorn C. and Mikhail C.) decided to explore the Third Thursday event here as one…read moreof Lorn's friends was displaying her art that night. Lorn and I had been to this venue for the Yelpie awards and decided to return as we were impressed with the artwork the first time we came. Third Thursdays is a free event each month and it displays the works of various artists. Also, if you park at the Plaza parking lot on Court Avenue just a few blocks away, your parking ticket is validated, and you only pay $4. We got there around 6:30pm and the place was already packed. We got a drink at the cafe and a shout out to Miles for being a fun server and a good conversationist. We then proceeded to see all the art displays from photography to paintings to ink drawings. The main floor is much roomier as the second floor was quite crowded and tight given the separate rooms for the displays. But we still enjoyed ourselves and got to see the work of Lorn's friend, Grace Garvey, as well as other artists. The second floor's main room was dedicated to "Black & White" artist renderings and many of the displays were quite intriguing. The main floor had some excellent concert photographs that exuded the energy and passion of the performers as well as the crowds. This is definitely a fun free event to attend in downtown Orlando.

What a wonderful art museum! We started out at city arts Café next-door, waiting for it to open…read more When it finally did, we were met by a wonderful woman that told us about the different displays in the building. We were then able to go on our own and visit the displays. Pictures were allowed, which was wonderful because I didn't want to forget some of them and they were great inspiration. They had a great selection of art, including art by teens and it is FREE so what a great value. We've decided we'd like to go every so often to keep up with the displays.
