I visited this Doctor through a California Workers compensation referral FROM MY INSURANCE, My experience was disappointing and I feel other injured workers should be AWARE. During my appointment, the doctor focused much more on explaining things to another doctor than on listening to me. Many of the comments made during the MRI review seemed negative and suggested SIGNIFICANT ISSUES, but when speaking directly to me, the doctor change his tone. He stated that I has "arthritis" which I disagree with and which was NOT supported by my previous medical evaluations of 4 years!!. He also acknowledge that my body bends to the right and the front, which he said is related to my work injury. Despite this, his final opinion seemed to favor the insurance company rather than my actual condition. In my opinion, this doctor does NOT advocate for injury workers, and I would recommend that ANYONE in a workers comp case request a second opinion or make sure they bring all their prior medical documentation. This is simply my experience and perspective, but I hope it helps others navigate the workers compensation system where some practices can be very questionable, more SAFELY. read more

i started seeing Dr Bakshian in feb of 2010 he ended up having to redo a spinal fusion that another doctor messed up i ended up having a total of 5 surgeries with him from 2010 to 2012 he is an amazing doctor i would refer my fam and friends to him if i had an emergency and i contact his office they will take me the same day even if they r full one time i needed a procedure done asap and he didn't wait to get permission from the insurance company because his relationship with his patients is more important i felt welcomed every time i went never had a problem with getting in touch if i needed to he took his time with me read more

Seems like everyone feels the same way!! Rude arrogant, dismissive and condescending. How are you a Doctor? No comparison!!

I don't recommend this doctor or office, each time I visited I wait 1 hour to see the doctor, and then he is in a rush to finish and hurries the appointment. The office staff is unprofessional and not responsive. I stopped as there are too many good doctors in Los Angeles to settle for this non-sense. They don't return calls and put you on hold forever when booking an appointment. I don't have one good thing to say as they are all around poor. read more

The practice is very well run. I've never waited for an appointment. The physical therapy department is top-notch. I came to Dr. B. on a workman's compensation referral and am impressed with the high quality care I've received. I would DEFINITELY refer. read more

I went to Dr. Bakshian because he took over the Tower Orthopedics practice from Dr. Leon Brooks. He might have been a prodigy, but, he will never be the surgeon Dr. Brooks was. Almost five years later and in more pain than I was before surgery. I was dropped from the gurney, put under 3 hours before he showed up for surgery, my fitting for the back brace was humiliating with the doctor calling my breasts boobies. His son fell the morning I was to have surgery. I arrived in time at 5:30am. Finally at 7 he called to say that his son had fallen and broke his arm. Instead of scraping the surgery for the next day, he had them put me under and wheeled into the operating room to hold it. He finally arrived three hours later and did the surgery. Ignoring my instructions of no heavy pain killers, I was kept inebriated for 3 days on heavy meds ordered by him. He only came in once while I was there. So not the care I was used to with Dr. Brooks. I'm now 5 years out and still in pain. He's a horrible doctor with no bedside manner. read more

The staff is not very good at all. very unresponsive. Unfortunately the spinal surgery did not go well.

Dr. Bakshian is a great surgeon he is the doctor that have kept me walking after three spine surgeries.

Every single time I come here they are rude and have zero respect for a persons time. Go elsewhere. Probably the worst office I have ever been to. ( I have been here multiple times) Dr Bakshian then comes in 2 hrs later and uses profanity when he's made aware of the situation. Yes you read that correctly, uses the "F" word. Dr Bakshian very appalling, he seemed to forget that every single person on earth has something going on. Maybe you shouldn't come to work and see patients if you're going through something? I cannot think of a single job where you can go in and use profanity towards a patient/ client simply because you're having a bad day. Very un-professional doctor. I would love to hear him explain this one. read more

This guy might be a great doctor. Don't know. Went to him once. Bakshian is arrogant, dismissive, rude and totally uncaring.

I appreciate this doctor as he really does know what he is doing. He truly helped me find less pain in life to my ACDF C5C6 surgery. I feel comfortable during my follow ups telling him any other issues that I have and he addresses them for me right away. It is nice to have a doctor that you can trust especially if you are allowing them to cut into your next. My surgery was back in January and as of today you can hardly see that I ever had a surgery. Thank you for giving me part of my life back doctor. read more

He's an arrogant asshole he made me feel so little like he was doing me a favor by even coming in to see him ugh. He told me I don't know what you want me to do for you, everyone don't want surgery. How about you just treat people like you want to be treated. Just because you're a Dr. you can't treat people like shit. I'm impressed with your studies by attending college at 15. I left his office in tears I was so upset, and his office assistants are just as rude. Told me I needed an MRI I get it , but you're not going to make me get in that machine when I'm claustrophobic I said I need an open machine then again it's all about the Dr. oh he doesn't like open MRI machines too bad goodbye you lost a patient. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Bakhshian for the last two years. He is very professional and knowledgeable. I usually have bunch of questions at every appointment and he always takes the time to answer all of my questions. I am very pleased with him and his staff. If you are looking for a knowledgeable and at the same time a doctor that really cares for his patients, I definitely recommend Dr. Bakhshian. read more

Had an appointment at 10am with Dr. Bakshian. The doctor didn't see me for over two hours! The rest of my day was ruined because of this. What's the point of having an appointment if you have to wait almost two and a half hours for the doctor. This is a place people come because they have back pain. Sitting for that long certainly made the pain worse. And it didn't help that the waiting room chairs are uncomfortable. If you have an appointment at this place, make sure you tell them beforehand that you can't be there for 2 hours. They probably assume you have all day to wait. read more

One if the most knowledgeable Doctors i have seen. Took the time to detail explain my situation. I would strongly recommend him.

I've been a patient of Dr. Bakshian since 2016 and have always had a great experience. Dr. Bakshian and his entire team are caring, welcoming, and with a remarkable professional demeanor. He is always open to my questions and gives me his best recommendations. In the past, I recommended Dr. Bakshian to my boss, and he was pleased. I highly recommend Dr. Bakshian and his team! read more

As an attorney, I have sent many of my clients to Dr. Bakshian and they all have appreciated the respect they have received from Dr. Bakshian. He has listened to them, taken the time to explain his recommendations and treatment and given them an honest appraisal of their medical conditions. His staff is efficient and friendly. I have not had one complaint from any of my clients who have seen Dr. Bakshian for their orthopedic issues. read more

Dr. B. Is a very talented doctor, I highy recommend him to anyone needing spinal surgery. He was always kind and professional and he fought with my insurance company to ensure I had adequate care before and after surgery. He will answer any care and concerns. The staff was always courteous and polite. read more

While the doctor itself was great, the office is terrible, took forever to see the doctor, even tough i showed up 30 minutes early, also i have a followed up, so while they are suppose to call me, as they said they would they did not call, so i called was out on a long hold, finally the receptionist comes on the phone, i tell her i was expecting a call for a follow up, she states she needs to transfer me to another department, so i wait again, the phone rings, the person on the other end, answers with "id like to make an appointment" i say to her, you need to make an appointment, i also need to make an appointment, so it turns out the receptionist connected to patients together instead, so we had to hang up and try the long process all over again. NOT a GOOD LOOK FOR THE OFFICE OR THE DOCTOR THAT HIRED THEM. read more

What an amazing Doctor! After so many years of suffering from back pain and seeing so many Doctors my wife finally found Dr. Bakshian who knows what to do medically and also fighting with the insurance companies to make sure my wife receive the proper treatment. I don't know anything about Dr.Bakshian, cause I never got a chance to see him. My doctor referred him to me. I called to make an appt over a month ago paying careful attention that my insurance would cover my office visit. They took my insurance info and had me on hold for an extended amount of time to verify that my insurance did indeed cover me After dealing with terrible pain for a month, it's finally time for my appt I get there and they tell me my insurance doesn't cover me. I explain that their office made sure I was covered before they made the appt. I asked to speak to the office manager "Nikki" She turned out to be the biggest idiot out of all of them She said that when I originally made the appt that the person I talked has only been working there a week I asked her how is it possible that person who's been there only a week is left alone to deal with people's lives ? No answer All that time I waited dealing with my pain, and that office manager just blew me off It was quite obvious to me, they can care less what they put people though read more

Dr. Sam Bakshian is one of God's Angels. He listens, he thoroughly evaluates, he is honest, he respects you and tells-it-to-you straight ... once you've both decided on a course of treatment, action takes place and the healing begins. He is thoughtful, responsive, great "bed-side" manner, and a gentleman. He is a Board-Certified ... OUTSTANDING WORLD-CLASS Orthopedic Spine Specialist ... and my doctor ... whom I TRUST. I was fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Bakshian, and through miracle-of-miracles, met his criteria to receive my own mesenchymal stem/plasma cell injections into L4-L5 disk and L4-L5, L5-S1 facet joints to regenerate this tissue... my own tissue ... in my lower back. I am healing and improving without-a-doubt. I am excited that I will have my "own-grown, new lower-back". I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Sam Bakshian and his team at Tower Orthopedic. read more

Simply the Best. I had visited more than 2 other Orthopedic Doctors and Surgeons. Nothing was helping my pain. Very happy to have been referred to Dr. B (appropriate nick name). He was extremely thorough in his examination. Took his time evaluating and remedied my ailment with much care and patience. Basically he was a Doctor that cared as opposed to one who wants you in and out. Cannot recommend highly enough. THANK You Dr. B. read more

I have had 3 successful back and neck surgeries performed by Dr. Bakshian. He is an amazing surgeon with an excellent bedside manner. He has given our family renewed hope for a life without pain. I was totally incapacitated due to an industrial accident and his skills as a surgeon have given me a new lease on life. I trust him wholeheartedly and would have no one else perform surgery on me. We drive 6 hours roundtrip to see him and would never consider any other surgeon. He's our hero. read more

I went to Dr.Bakshian 2 months after a failed stem cell surgery and PRP transplant into my L-3 and L-4 discs from another doctor working at Playa medical plaza. After being in the worst pain in my life which disabled my movement for about two months Dr. Bakshian was the only doctor after seeing three specialists and checking myself into cedar Sinai for a week, which included a full team of doctors that misdiagnosed me with postoperative pain, he was the only one able to detect and diagnose the damage caused by Playa medical plaza from reviewing my x-rays and immediately made sure that to take all the possible measurements needed to heal my spine. He is hands down a genius and will follow through with all and any medical needs and will make sure that his patients according to my experience with him are his top priority. He steered me into the path needed to repair the damage which many before him failed to diagnose. If you want the best, in both medical care and patient care he is what your looking for, and he will, I'd like to repeat as I've experienced make it his top priority to heal any spinal injuries. His resume is as solid as his character is, his character is seen and experienced when meeting him in his office and seeing the measures he takes to insure a full recovery, the way he cared to correct another's mistake is something I'll never forget, if you have any spinal problems don't waste your time and energy with any other Doctor, because of the fact that the pain of a spinal injury is too great to manage and personally took a toll on my life, I recommend tower orthopedics and Dr. Sam Bakshian, and state that he and his team are the best at what they do. All I've wrote is but an attempt to project the respect I have for him, his character , and work ethic are supreme. read more
