Was at the Richmond airport and needed something decent to eat / drink. The Sam Adams place worked great. Food was fine and decent salads. I want to call out the GREAT selection of beers. Had a local Virginia "Pathway Porter" and then a "Legend Brown Ale". So glad I did not have to suffer throug my a macro brew or "our darkest beer is....."some IPA"". Thank you!!!

Ok! Before getting on your magic carpet ride, stop by Sam Adams bar at the Richmond International Airport. Cozy up to the bar and say hello to Leigh. As a hospitality industry veteran and a working hospitality consultant, I know hospitality when I feel it within 2 minutes. Leigh is one of the very rare breed of the authentic hospitality professionals. Have a glass of wine and chill with Leigh. You won't be disappointed! Cheers and safe travels.

Bacon, egg, & cheese biscuit meal.

Had the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit meal. It comes with hash browns (which were perfectly cooked). Good prices - worth it. Service, Martin, was great!!! Thank you Martin. The food was great, fresh, and served hot. The didn't take excessively long to come out, but just long enough that you know it's being cooked fresh. Biscuit great and bacon cooked perfectly without me having to ask. I'll come back if I'm ever in RIC again!!!

The service from Tabbi was AWESOME! She made my time here pleasant as I waited for my flight back home. The ambience was expected for an airport restaurant and the food was really good. Will for sure come back next time I visit Richmond

We went to Alewife during restaurant week. I sometimes think restaurants just phone it in for that…read moreweek, but Alewife was all in. The service was a little too leisurely for my temperament, and the tab did arrive at the table on one piece of paper when we had clearly requested that there be a separate tab for each couple, but those would be my only complaints. We all had cocktails, one from their specialty list and three that were standard issue. All were delicious and had an appropriate alcohol content for cocktails. The restaurant week menu provided a good variety of choices. Everything we had was really delicious. Portions were generous, so I could not eat more than about half of each course and not get overly full, but I assume they are sized for all but the hungriest diner. The venue's sound level was pretty high. I could have left my hearing aids at home so I wouldn't hear as much of the background noise. Noisy restaurants are pretty standard, I guess. We will definitely be returning to Alewife. It will probably take the place of Grisette in the rotation, which has been dropped because of institution of a fee for reservations canceled less than 24 hours in advance. (I don't think it should be treated as a privilege to dine somewhere when you have so many equivalent choices, but I guess they want to decrease the number of people who try to make them their dining choice. Objective accomplished.) The Hemingway quote at the bottom of the tab was a little weird. Not a Hemingway fan, but I guess it was an interesting thing to do. If you have read other reviews of mine, you may be aware that basically non-alcoholic cocktails that should have alcohol in them are reason enough for me to never return to a restaurant.

Street parking only but wasn't hard to find. We came in being one of the first parties in. Our server explained the menu in full and all the specials in full. To drink we had the Bebot and the Monkey Business to start, both were really good. The thing we knew we needed to have to eat was the Siren's Song special which was a lazy Susan full of different dishes. The Siren's Song consisted of oysters, fried clam strips, smoked fish dip, seared tuna, pineapple fried rice, and a fried fish collar (sorry don't remember the fish, maybe Skate) with a Szechuan dry rub on it. This seriously was an amazing display. Every single dish just took it up a notch. They were also super nice to accommodate making it pescatarian because the Siren's Song usually has meat elements. The fried collar really blew me away. So meaty, fried perfectly, and the dry rub was so flavorful but not too salty or hot. Despite finishing the whole Siren's Song, we also got the Cascatelli without guanciale which was also delicious. We finished off with their caramel custard which wasn't too sweet and had a great mix of textures and flavors. Also tried one of their NA drinks and a glass of their special chilled Grenache Noir which was surprisingly good (not a big red wine fan). Overall, we absolutely loved it here. Each dish was amazing, drinks were also good, service was on point, and it was just a beautiful dinner. We will definitely be coming back.

Only street parking is available, but it wasn't too difficult to find a spot. The atmosphere: Very rustic vibe with some farmhouse-style decor. They have table, high-top, bar, and patio seating available. The food: I opted for the Chicken and Waffles with a side of cheese grits. I chose to make it hot for more spice. It's served with one whole waffle, two large pieces of fried chicken, and syrup on the side. The chicken was not seasoned as much as I hoped and wasn't as spicy as I expected, which was a bummer. The cheese grits were alright as well, but not as flavorful as I hoped. My partner ordered the Double Barrel Bowl, and he really enjoyed it. It was packed with pulled pork and was plentiful and filling. The service: Great and kind service from Mave (I believe that is her name but I'm not entirely sure). She informed us about the daily specials and was attentive throughout our visit.

Since we were informed that we couldn't make reservations on the same day, we did have about a 45 minute wait when we got there but we didn't mind. We were sent a link to track how far we were in line, which I thought was very helpful. Once we were seated, our server came over right away with waters. She was extremely nice and gave us time to look over the menu. The Potato Leak Soup was on their March Specials Menu so we decided to order that with a Bread Basket to start. The bread was delicious, very soft and warm, it was served with a whipped, honey butter and herbed oil. Unfortunately, the soup was cold when we received it. I'm not sure if it had been sitting a while but we did have them returned. Oddly enough, they were returned in a larger bowl, not the same size cup, but with the same amount of soup lol. It definitely was weird but it was indeed piping hot and the soup was delicious. The Crab Stuffed Mushrooms were great as well. I decided on the Crab Stuffed Shrimp, my daughter chose the Chicken Marsala and my sister went with the Hand Cut NY Strip. I thoroughly enjoyed the Shrimp, the flavors were great and the NY Strip was cooked perfectly. My daughter wasn't a fan of her Chicken Marsala but they did switch it out for some Salmon. Overall, my daughter had a great birthday dinner yet again. Our server was new but we couldn't tell because she did a great job at making sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is delicious! I will always recommend Sedona Taphouse for anyone looking for a great meal and dining experience.

Chuck was presiding over a mostly empty restaurant at 5pm on a Sunday. He happily described some options and was so enthusiastic about some dishes we thought, "What the heck?". My companion had the best burger of the year. My steak was perfect. The shrimp cocktail was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed exactly what we hoped for..after a few days of dubious food. If you visit here, ask for Chuck.

It's a holiday inn, so would one expect much?…read more I went to the restaurant because I was staying at a nearby hotel. It was very cold outside with rain turning to sleet. I did not have a car, so I decided that I would see with the holiday and had to offer as far as food. I honestly cannot comment on the quality of the food as I never got any. It may be very good for all I know. After waiting for a minute or two at the hostess station, I was finally seated. They are ironic thing was no one was there and I was told to pick any table I want, which I could've done that on my own anyway without a host. I was seated and noted on the menu, that there were no healthy options. Any chicken on the menu is either Friday or covered in cheese. But, it was cold, I'm from Florida, and the choices were this, or the Wawa gas station down the road. Then the weight began. And I waited, and waited. I was in the bar area and it seemed that the bartender who did have at least five customers at the bar was also responsible for all of the tables. if anyone else was supposed to help out, I never saw them. And I waited... I finally decided that the Wawa gas station was the way to go. As I got up the bartender did notice me. she seemed genuinely distressed that she, nor anyone else had actually noticed me. Mind you I was only about 8 feet away but I do not necessarily blame her as she did have a bunch of people at the bar plus all of the tables. I had already decided that the Wawa gas station would be my choice so I did get up and leave. Again, I'm not angry with her as she did seem very distressed about my predicament, but my thought was, why reward Holiday Inn for poor organization and poor service? I don't took off into the wind, was stinging freezing rain hitting me, but, at least I knew that the Wawa gas station would provide service and something at least close to what I wanted. Again, the food at the Holiday Inn maybe very good, I just never found out if that was true. NOTE - It was touch and go, but I did survive the walk to the Wawa and back to the hotel.
