Located in the new homemaker centre in Gepps Cross I honestly don't even bother looking in the others because I know I'll find what I like here for my budget. Being young and ready to move out of home soon, I've been gathering bits and pieces. I got a full solid wooden queen bed here with a beautiful mattress (I like quality so it was a nice soft one), for only $1500 with 2 bed side tables with draws which I thought was great. They deliver to your house as well which is handy, seeing as my car won't fit a queen mattress in the boot obviously. The staff are a little busy almost all the time so be prepared to wait around a bit or go hunting for someone, and they aren't too knowledgeable so I always go there with a certain thing in mind and research myself.

Had a phone call later that night confirming delivery for next morning .... Didn't come in the morning hubby called store and they assured me afternoon which yey happened in the end , not faiths fault think just communication problems with drivers and logistics but overall great product great price not unwrapping til I get to my final destination next week but store said any problems to let her know ASAP and they would sort , so overall a great store to do business with , helpful , friendly , just tweak deliveries more and yr there !!! The store itself is fine, but you can lose yourselves for quite some time rumaging through the racks and shelves of useless draw clutter that will probably find the bottom of a bin before long. Don't get the wrong idea though, I enjoy killing time in these types of stores and spending my hard earned gold coinage on projectile toys and the odd gizmo that I am dead certain that I have a use for.....at the time! It's got a little bit of everything in here and a good place to buy bins, cat and dog toys, baskets and all sorts of other incidentals. Out the front is an array of items and they're keen on stocking fake flowers but it's not the designer type, more like the ones some nationalities like to place on grave sites. Also a few dog plastic dog kennels and no different to the kennels stocked by some other stores at much higher prices. The lady behind the counter is nice and friendly and has been each time I've been in the store and the store itself has been located here for a while. As the name implies it is a cheap store but with some useful finds.

This Sunday market is mainly a fruit and veg market place, with probably around 40 different stalls to choose from. Along with produce you'll find other stalls selling things like pot plants, honey, eggs, flowers, almonds, nuts and seeds, baked goods, used electronic goods and tools, secondhand clothing, ornaments, phone accessories, market trolleys .... there was even one selling a variety of different birds!! So yes pets to! After coming here several times I do find most stalls trend with the current "in-season" produce, which is generally to be expected. So sometimes you may find it hard finding a good deal or bargain with certain goods, even after looking through the whole grounds. This particular time I've found tomatoes fairly competitive. But overall you should be able to find any type of fruit and veg here all year round ... just the prices will vary. The stall holders are always friendly and helpful. One good thing is most have a "try before you buy" thing going on. The current season you could almost fill up on sampling mandarins while you shop. Or apples. Parking can also be a bitch. If you arrive shortly before or on 7am you'll likely be able to park comfortably inside the gates. Otherwise sometimes there's a cue down the street waiting to enter. An alternative is street parking close by. I'm usually finding myself parking across the road, and I'm lucky enough to get one reasonably close to the gates. On top of this there's also a $1.50 entry fee per person. One other downfall is the place can get quite packed. Along with that it can seem quite cramped with a lot of stalls wedged together and tight walk-ways. Peak times I've noticed can be around 8-11. You may need to possess patients or be able to handle the hussle. All in all the place is amazing if you're very into stocking up on your wholesome fresh produce and enjoy looking for a bargain. Definitely worth a look.

I've imported a few from Japan over the years, mostly for obscure things like Samurai Pizza Cats, then I discovered this place. While there are no Pizza Cats here (those models have long been out of production, I just pick them up on Japanese auction sites) they have an impressive selection of models. From tanks to anime it's all here in its box ready for you to build. They supply everything, from glue to paint and can also offer advice. They also supply Scalextric (or other racing set) parts, and have a nice model train set on display. I always wanted a model train set as a kid, and envisioned something along the lines of what they have here. Looking back, what I wanted was never achievable, which may be why model trains tend to be the hobby of older people. There's a lot to do here, and a lot to keep you busy. The prices are reasonable, maybe a little bit less than some other places I know of that sell models. If you walk through the doors of Hobby Habit don't expect to leave empty handed.

These kinds of shops are always bit messier and more disorganised than "regular" shops - which I don't mind, I come there for the prices not for the ambiance. Crazy Clarke's, when judged by that standard, actually holds up pretty well. It still has that bargain shop feel of clutter, but a lot less than some places I've been to. The staff are fairly indifferent to your presence there but will help you out if you ask for it.

Their products include cooking equipment and utensils, glassware, spices, rice, pulses, cooking oils and of course Halal meat. On the entertainment side they have movies, cd's in either Indian, Persian or Afghan. Also there is the latest news available and they serve drinks and food ready to eat. And fresh fruit and vegetables...I don't think they'd bother going anywhere else. I enjoyed coming here and for my next dinner event I intend on doing some middle eastern cooking.
