Yelp doesn't seem an appropriate outlet for the raving I need to do about Harvest Construction. Do…read morecompanies even search Yelp when making GC decisions??? Well on the off chance they do, here's my advice; do as much planning as you can upfront, hire Harvest and then get out of their way. Perhaps it isn't one hundred percent peachy keen rainbows and sunshine on every project. But if there is any possible way the project they did for me could have gone better, I truly don't know what it is. I was contracted by a former employer to manage the design and construction of a 6,000SF medical device clinic/lab. They wanted to not have to worry about it, and since I held a full-time job already...I needed to not have to worry too. Enter Harvest, they came to a pre-bid meeting on a less than 70% complete set of plans with a well-thought-out list of questions and budget projections in place. They were among a pool of three and they impressed so much at that stage, final bids weren't even sought from the other two contractors. When full plans were complete, their contract amount was within less than 10% of the projected budget. About 10 days before the agreed-upon start date, Ross Moffitt contacted me and asked if they could start early. (really?!! a GC starting early!!!!) Away they went. Overall, they improved upon the initial schedule of 3 full weeks. That initial schedule was realistic with reasonable buffers, and they still improved on it. They asked questions when something was unclear, updated me when needed and were uber-responsive each time I had a need or the owner had a question. I've been the Owner/s Rep before, I've been the GC before ~ and playing the role of in between, was a complete cakewalk....thanks to the excellent service and construction delivered by Harvest. And I'd be remiss if I didn't also say this... their Superintendent Tim Branson might be magic. Every visit, every time, at every point during the job...it was actually a clean job site. Hats off to Harvest! Given the opportunity to work on another project like this, they'll be my first call.

I have been considering doing a remodel of my house for a long time now, but then I would get…read moreoverwhelmed trying to choose a contractor and I would just give up. This time I decided to contact Trace and from the start I could tell that they worked in a different way than those one off contractors. First someone came out to my house to get an idea of what I was thinking and then put together an estimate/proposal. Then they come out with the designer (if you want to hire one) and others to measure in depth, look around to see what would need to be done, take pictures, etc. I hired the designer because I needed one to draw out the new bathroom and closet for me. So for another month or so we would have meetings to look at blueprints, alter blueprints, approve fixtures/tile/carpet/etc. You do this until you are satisfied with how everything is. Then it is time to start! Before the start of construction, the aforementioned people come over with your actual project manager. This is your main contact during the remodel. Mine was Adam Engel and we worked together well from the start - we were in constant communication throughout the remodel and I never felt stupid about bringing something up to him. They change your lock out to your door and use a lock box for the key, so they never have the actual key to your house. Many have asked if I worried about having people in and out of my house when I wasn't there....but there were never any problems. I also appreciated that Adam tried to make it as painless as it could be. For example, we had to be without a shower at all in the house for a little over a month of the 3 month process....he made it a priority to get one of the showers working as soon as possible so we didn't have to keep going down to the pool house to shower. When construction is complete, multiple people come over to do a final walk through on the house and mark out things that need to be fixed. Paint guy, tile guy, etc. may all have to come back out. Problems with the cabinets were fixed. Anything that's wrong they come back and fix. And this includes after it is already over - my main shower was leaking a little water on the floor and they came and fixed it that day. The way that Trace does the whole remodel process really went a long way to make me feel less freaked out and more in the realm of understanding on what was going on. It was a long process, but I think that in the end it was worth it to ensure I knew what was going on. Also, they may be more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for. The quality work was never in question and you don't have to worry about them just never showing up and finishing the job! I am totally pleased with the way my upstairs bedroom/bathrooms/closet looks and I will DEFINITELY use Trace when I decide to remodel the kitchen/den....I'm already working on my plan in my head!

We had some issues with lazy decision making without our consent. Those were handled according during renovations so that's fine. However, we are just over 2 years living in our home and we already have to hire a roofer because of how awful the job was. We have multiple leaks. When I ripped out the carpet, the original pine floors were there but they were in HORRIBLE shape. They were covered in paint stains, mismatching wood stains, and had areas of thick glue where the previous owners had installed overlay. I called up Fabulous Floors, spoke with Matt, got a fair quote, and scheduled for members of his team to come out to the house. They did a really excellent job, my floors are stunning. I am still amazed at how they were able to turn my beat up old floors into something beautiful. I highly recommend this business!

The job entailed refinishing about 1500 square feet of existing oak flooring and also adding an area of about 250 square feet. My conversation with Matthew on the phone led to a quotation and recommendation on purchasing the additional wood necessary for the job. Together we coordinated getting the install team onsite the day after we closed escrow on the home. Today, we finally completed our move out of California and made a bee-line for our new home. I cannot tell you how pleased we were with the completed project. The floors are fantastic and stunning, as well as the finish work on the new install (which matches perfectly as well). My wife and I couldn't be more pleased and I can honestly say that I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great job, executed on time at a fair price.

We have worked with a variety of contractors and Stratton exceeds them all. Are they the cheapest in town? They always did what the said they would and let us know if there are delays and issues. We did go over budget and timeframe, but that's hard not to do when you are renovating in 2021. HE BLOCKED MY NUMBER instead of making it right. I paid for a job that was supposed to be completed in 1-2 days. John and one helper showed up 4 hours late the first day, worked for 2 hours, and disappeared for a few days. When they removed my carpet, they threw it on my front lawn (all 500+ sqft of it!), left my house filthy, and disappeared again for a few days. Then John BLOCKED my number. The trim job was done half-ass, as well, with multiple cracks and non-secured pieces. Their solutions was to caulk the huge gaps in the trim. They fixed a few cracks in the vinyl, but there are MANY left unfixed. I am pleased with the quality of the waterproof vinyl itself and the price. However, the frustration of being ignored mid-job and refusing to make it right was not worth it. His workers called me saying that John didn't pay them. I have since tried to text and call to see if they'll fix the cracks. I am being ignored. So, I have invested in some nice rugs to hide the cracks.
