Family raved about this place, while we were all together we decided to get some food to feed our bellies. We had gone back and forth on where to order food from and what type. We settled on pizza, then on this establishments. Me, being the ever persistent person I am, wanted to get us the best deal. I checked out their webpage and saw that they had a really good deal for this week. Focusing on their XL pizzas when you buy three. Different prices for plain cheese and one-topping pizzas. In all, we got a ton of food at a decent price, and a lot of leftovers to tide us over for a few days. When I tell you that we ordered a ton of food, we really did. We took advantage of the three XL cheese pizzas (mostly for the kids), the three one-topping pizzas (mostly pepperoni), and a specialty pizza (their white pizza). My one sister was wanting a salad and some dessert, so that was added on too. When we got our food, it definitely looked like way too much food for us, but we all dug in. I first tried the white pizza. White sauce, cheese, tomato, and what felt like a ton of garlic. This was delicious. I then had a piece of pepperoni, just as good. What makes this pizza so good is a combination of things. The first is the crust, by far the best crust I have ever had. Pair that with their sauce, I could just eat that. The toppings are fresh, pizzas are by far the best in Johnstown. I did feel a bit queasy when I tried to dive into my fourth piece of pizza, but that was my fault as I was eating too fast. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach this night. They were once located in a nondescript building off of Scalp, now they hold up shop in the old Meadows building. Definitely worth your time to stop in for a pie or two. read more

This is a take-out or delivery joint - no place to sit and eat. Not knowing this we ordered a pizza and sat and waited for it. It was fairly busy for lunch on Friday with people coming in to pick-up their orders or buy pizza by the slice. The young people working behind the counter were friendly. The place smelled great and we were excited to get our pizza. We did an Xtra large sausage and pepperoni. The pizza was extra large and it was very good. No wonder why it was as busy as it was. If you're in town and hungry for pizza- hit up Salvatore's - you won't be disappointed read more

Amazing pizza! Even better pricing! He does deals on the more pizzas you buy the more you save.

Food isn't that good since new owner took over, miss so much the good days when sal used to make specialities like pep roll or sicilian

Great food! Pizza was awesome & dessert was phenomenal! Staff was very friendly & super nice! Will definitely be back again. New favorite place while in Johnstown. read more

I've been hearing about this for years from my brother. He raves it's the best. I don't always Agee with my brother but he's right on this one. I leave in Somerset, about 30 miles away. In Somerset, it seems we can't get pizzerias to make it, there are a few but but the commissioners seem to only back franchised establishments because of the turnpike/tourism is my opinion. But Salvatore's is a New York city type of pizza. I know cause I've had NYC pizza numerous times while visiting the city before when it was a decent place to go and see. It's a thin chewy crust with the edges reminding you of chewy bread sticks. The price for a XL House Special was 18 bucks. A large 1 topping at Papa John will cost you 20, regular price. The House Special has more than 6 toppings. Definitely worth it. Next time I got to try my favorite and see how they do. Bacon, onion and jalapeños. Yum. read more

The second night we got pasta and a pepperoni role and house Stromboli fantastic choices. So if your in the area give this local business a try it's well worth it. I would also add that the owner is trying to keep prices as low as possible. read more

Food was Delicious .. Service was Friendly & fast and they even Had a Drive thru window for Pick up ...

For the money this is the best pizza in the area. It is one of the best tasting pizzas in the area. They also serve Italian dishes; pretty large menu for a pizza joint. There is very limited seating, so the majority of food is takeout. Service is quick and convenient. Well worth a try if you're looking for a quick pizza or Italian meal at a very reasonable price point. Everything tastes great, give it a try! read more

Sals has hands down the best pizza in town. The girl that answered the phone was so sweet too! We used to go to santos in westmont all the time but honestly, this is just as good, if not better, and so much closer! More affordable too! read more

Sal's Pizza is awesome!! Generally Sal, his wife or brother are in the store cooking up your order. Service is fast and food is fresh! Sal's is our go to pizza joint.
